I woulda bet my house Cole would start for England but the beeb's saying it's Crouch and Agbonlahor.

I say this is Capello basically telling Cole he's off to S.A and he'd like to use this game to have a butcher's at the rest. What you reckon Hammersfan?

....by the way, I had to break out of my new snazzy screensaver to post this comment so be grateful ;)

There are stories that Cole has ignored instructions when Capello has sent him on and the Italian has the hump with him. Hope that's not true!

kevin in Manchester writes.. why is it a good thing if are players are picked for England? They are more likely to be sold or crocked or too knackered to perform for the people who pay their wages..us! I can see if an england place is in the offing they may try harder and strive to improve but latterly I can't see how having players going away on international duty has helped one jot. I understand the reflected pride/glory that we may feel but I think we should wean ourselves of this

He's done pretty well the few minutes he's been on so I assume the instructions were rubbish anyway. If he's not on the bench today then we should worry that this story may have some truth in it.

There are rumours that Heskey doesn't actually know how to play football!

I wonder what happened to Capellos system of only playing players who are in-form, let's see, Heskey-not playing and Ferdinand-out of form. I think more people do not pick up on this because he uses that in-form BS for players such as Cole and Defoe, whereas for players such as Lampard and Gerrard, he is too much of a pus to ditch them when they do not play well.

Well I suppose it is good news. Despite all your gloomy pronouncements CB Holdings have shown themselves willing to invest in our Club after all.
New striker, new right back? Pah, who needs 'em!
Now a new screensaver, well that's investment for the future. That'll still be working whatever division we find ourselves playing in.
