Perfect - Chelsea Draw And Can't Win The Prem!
A perfect couple of results tonight. With the Mancs winning and Chelsea only drawing, the Plastics are now six points off the pace and Fergie's mercenaries still have a game in hand. Chelsea cannot now win the Premiership.
And the significance of this? They come to Upton Park on Saturday, three days before the Champions League battle with Barcelona. Now tell me, where will their priorities be? If we make it a tasty affair, with some hard (but fair) challenges in the opening minutes, will the Glory Boys really fancy it? Three points in a forlorn chase for the Prem or victory over Barcelona in the Champions League semifinal? It is a no brainer really isn't it? Will they risk any key players already feeling niggles or strains? They are already without Terry on Tuesday, can they afford to lose Essien, Drogba, Ballack or Lampard?
I am not saying we will win. I am not even saying we will draw. All I am saying is that tonight's results made it less likely that Chelsea will steam roller us as they did last year. Perhaps Lucas can point out the risks in the tunnel before we go out onto the pitch. "Fancy playing on Tuesday? If I were you, I would stay away from the ball!"
They're not without Terry and they'd steam roller you Pikeys even with their reserve team.
ReplyDeleteIsn't he banned from the first leg? Think he was booked for a foul in the Liverpool box putting him out of the Barcelona game. The term Pikey is racist. Please try to show a little more maturity.
ReplyDeleteI think we should see how many of them we can put out of the game on Wednesday, starting with Lumpolard !
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer 3 points and Chelsea beating Barcelona personally.
ReplyDeleteFor anyone who is slightly confused its ashley cole who will miss the match agsinst barca and terry will play as he has served his suspencion, i would also like to take the oppourtunity to point out to any mis guided hammer fans the difference between a great team and an average team, a great team (not specifically) like chelsea aim to win every game every time they play, as for an average team ( not to be disrespectfull to west ham but the facts speak for them selves) who aim for draws in games against big teams then, well the facts speak for themselves. This saturday who knows who will win, i still hope chelsea even though whatever slim chance of the title we had has well and truely gone so as long as we in the top four it doesnt really matter but as for the barca match it is still looking thin after tonights performance but i can only hope
ReplyDeleteHonestly I can only wish West Ham luck but honestly I think we will still be favourites to beat you and hopefully some of our younger players may get a run out in the league now that the results are not so crucial, so basically I agree with the article and just feel the need to add the Chelsea perspective, although I'm not to agreeable when it comes to you calling us the plastics...
ReplyDeleteHow can you be soo ignorant -you refer to us as pikeys -which is offensive -your called plastics but object - for your information - According to the Oxford English Dictionary, its first use in print was in the Times in 1837, referring to strangers who had come to the Isle of Sheppey island to harvest. Later that century it meant a "turnpike traveller" or vagabond - ok fool
ReplyDeleteChelsea cannot now win the Premiership.!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat school did you go to??
and did they teach you maths?
Ok I admit that I've only been going to the occassional Chelsea match since money was invested in the team. So what? I want to see winning football not pretty win nothing football that West Ham are famous for. I don't think that we are out of the Premier race yet and I'll be back when we win it just to hear your pathetic excuses. We'll start with a 0-6 thrashing on Saturday. Unfortunately, I won't be there as I generally only go to the bigger home games - but I'll enjoy reading about our win on Sunday morning.
ReplyDeleteOh dear 11.52, you have made yourself look very silly LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is why we ALL call the Chelski "fans" plastics
I feel sorry for the few real Chelski fans left
Isnt it funny how you get a chelsea knob shouting his mouth off, when in actual fact it was west ham that produced lampard and had his dad and uncle not got the sack he'd still be at west ham as well as joe cole and john terry. But at least west ham aren't buying the premier league like chelsea. Just because chelsea cant grow their own youth team, they just buy all the other teams best players. And as for pikeys i think that you must be talking about your sister team millwall. Maybe chelsea should start singing 'nobody likes us and we dont care '.
ReplyDeleteWell said 1431 and Mike!
