What the hell? They are building a prison in Dagenham! What a waste of money! Don't build a prison IN Dagenham, build a bloody great wall AROUND the town!

  10. LOL I'm leaving the comments up despite the language. It was a joke but, to be honest, those who claim to be from Dagenham kind of validate the forum.

It will make no difference I know but my father's cousin was literally decapitated by a direct hit on the family home in Dagenham during the War. My Dad was in the cupboard under the stairs with his aunt and uncle, his cousin never made it. Seen those pictures of the staircase in amongst the rubble, that apparently was the scene afterwards. Dad found the head if you can believe his account. Both were 12 years old at the time. My Dad (died from cancer in 91) had nothing good to say about Dagenham. His words, "The bastards killed my cousin but left the rest of the town standing!"

Chill you sad cases. Do you really take everything SOOOOOO seriously? The thing that made us special, as Brits and East Enders in particular, was our ability to laugh at ourselves. Now our Yob Culture means that any joke has to be confronted with aggression. Very sad!

hammersfan , you must be a twisted little fuck !! if pissing other teams off with your shite blogs isn't enough you have to turn on your own teams supporters. You know some of your blogs do make me laugh but you don't seem to know where to draw the line, where do you get off ??

  12. Generally speaking at Putney Barry. Anywhere East of there brings you into contact with foul mouthed yobs who think life is a war!

  13. do you not think before you write ?

    ReplyDelete
  14. No, I don't need to think. Unlike you. Now then, is it right, rite or write? LOL Do you think before you reply?

Barry, what's interesting? I don't think I've ever got off at Putney in my life actually. It was a jokey response. Over your head? Well Putney is an overground underground station isn't it? That's an oxymoron by the way.

  15. So called Hammersfan...You've never been to the area, not Dagenham, not even Forest Gate or Green Street for that matter!!!!I thought I had an idea where you were coming from recently.....but I can admit when I'm wrong...your a knob.

  16. Frank? Is F & R inter-changeable for a W these days? Born in East Ham Maternity Hospital, taken home to Chester Road, East Ham. Grandparents lived in Kathrine Road after their house in St Mary's Road Plaistow was compulsory purchased. But let's not allow facts to get in the way of misinformed opinions eh?

  17. ignorant, no mates fool off you go again telling people your better than them we will find your address

  18. It is Cell Block H, Dagenham!

  19. hammersfan i've been on here before and got a decent response from you.

    what is you problem?

you call yourself a west ham fan yet you continually lay into everything west ham. you brown nose other clubs and now you come out with this trash which has nothing to do with West Ham. Nothing to do with football, no point in it at all.

If it was original and funny then maybe you can get away with it...but it is neither.

I'm not taking it personally as I don't live in Dagenham, but people do...many of them are West Ham fans.

So essentially what comes out of this post is that you want to lock a large majority of West Ham fans up.

I know your general response to comments on here is to pick holes in the grammar, trying to make yourself out as some academic with the highest honours.

By all means go through my comment with a fine toothcomb but I've not sworn or directed any abuse your way, and I think it's about time you took your head out your arse and realised the juvenlie nature of your very own blog...

  20. LOL freddyfreddy, I wouldn't stop at Dagenham, I'd build a wall around Essex!

It is a joke. I wouldn't be able to see most of my family if they built a wall around Essex!

They really are planning to build a prison IN Dagenham. I have a picture of the residents of Dagenham scaling the walls to try to get inside! Come on, it isn't the prettiest town in Essex is it? Grays, Stanford No Hope, Chafford Hundred, Dagenham - they are no going to feature on the English Tourist Board website anytime soon are they?

    As I say above, it is a sad reflection on our society that we are losing the ability to laugh at ourselves. Everything has to be "in the face" confrontation. Yob culture mate, which is what passes for an art gallery in Dagenham. ; }

    ReplyDelete
  21. i'm sorry mate, i completely disagree.

As for Essex, I would rather you didn't got parading your high horse around there either as I live there.

More importantly I think what's more of a sad reflection of society is in fact you, and this blog.

Petulant, juvenile, 'men' who go behind the guise of different names, alter ego's, pseudonyms and alias'.

Who make cheap digs at other people who are 'below' them in today's sociological climate.

Pretty much the "I'm better than you because you live in Dagenham" approach.

Where is it that you live may we ask? Maybe it would shed some light on your superior attitude

    ReplyDelete
  22. It would. How did you know? In a shed. With a single bulb dangling from a frayed cord. Me, my mum, her sister, my uncle Joe who was evicted from his flat in the Roman Road, my fifteen kids, my wife, the dog, the goldfish, the cat and the budgie.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'll leave it at that, but the way you described your digs, you're clearly a Millwall fan

  26. LOL It was on the news and struck me as very funny. The residents of Dagenham protesting about a prison being built in their back yard. Do you know there's even a place called Dagenham Village now? I bet it is a Staffy Free Zone - all King Charles Spaniels and Sushi eating houses. One has bought a house in Dagenham Village doesn't one know. One was thinking of moving to Stone but one decided Dagenham Village was an altogether better address. We have a Waitrose don't you know! And now they are thinking of building a prison in the town! I am sure there is a suitable site in Chelemsford or Basildon, one doesn't want to see that sort of thing in Dagenham Village does one?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Been reading your blog for quiet some time, I think that some of your posts are quiet witty and in turn have some good discussions as well.

But this one bout Dagenham - I wet myself. I live not too far from the place and you could be forgiven in thinking that the place is a prison, so many gangs, police and just generally not a nice place to be. There is nothing to the area except council flat blocks and estates.

Yeah a lot of West ham come from Dagenham but there are just of many of us outside as well. Im sure the residents of Dagenham have cracked a few jokes about som of the neighbouring areas - basildon maybe? romford im sure of...

I am West Ham thru and thru, used to work at Upton Park in the Castle Suite and held a season ticket for 4 years (96-00).

Come on guys lets not be so serious all the time. The season has finished, we all need something to talk about, even if it is pointless!

  29. On a slightly more serious note, Barking and Dagenham Council have TWELVE BNP councilors. Build a prison there? Bad idea! How long before it became a concentration camp?

  30. Anon: 18.58 - where am I? I'm certainly not in prison... But I've got my eye on you... I'm gonna take you down, down to china town..
