West Ham v Liverpool. If Anybody Deserves A Great Reception, It is Carragher.
I was appalled by the crowd's treatment of Lampard and Terry, feeling that in the case of these two, bygones should be bygones. Lampard had no choice other than to leave the club after the dismissal of his dad and uncle, and had been a figure of hate for a section of the crowd even whilst wearing the Claret & Blue. Terry left us aged 14 and can hardly be held responsible for the actions of his mother. Both are brilliant in their positions and fantastic servants of the England team. Carragher, on the other hand, is beyond reproach as a model human being.
To begin, leaving aside his supposed great crime against West Ham, there is this mistaken notion of Jamie's dodging his National Service. The guy has been accused of being a traitor, putting his ego over and above the national football team. Upset about not being first pick, some say, the Jamie Dodger walked out on the England team and declined to swallow his pride when injuries and suspensions made his presence crucial in that vital game against Croatia. Now some will argue that, in the long run, that torrential cloud had a silver lining because the Wally with the Brolly was washed back down his spout, but I believe that, even with McClaren in charge, we could have made the final in the Euros. Because of Carragher's selfishness, some say, we will never know. "If I'm not number one, I'm not playing and sod the country." Carragher's attitude seems, to some, to sum up the whiney Scouse Nation perfectly - they think they are a people apart, so special, so unique. Give them their own Nation some say, now that literally would be a police state! What nonsense! The people of Liverpool are the salt of the earth - every one a model bastion of society and the perfect citizen!
And Carragher is not a stranger to crime some say! They point to that "autobiography" where he talked about his mates asking him on a mobile about whether they should beat up Luckless after seeing him in a shopping Mall? The only reason Carragher gave for not green lighting it, he says in the book, was that Neill had seen him with one of the guys, so the link might be made. Do I believe the story? That's not the point, it is the example it sets some say. Those Liverpool teenagers who have actually entered the education system might read that and think it is acceptable to behave in that way, they contend! What nonsense! We know there is no street crime in Liverpool, no gang crime! What an absurd assertion! Everybody in Liverpool respects the laws of society and cooperates with the police to help solve crime. Closing ranks against the rossers? Not in Liverpool mate!
But to the supposed big crime, the reason why West Ham fans should loathe Jamie - that instruction he gave to press Scaloni in the Cup Final, ignoring all the supposed rules of gentlemanly conduct in the process. Gentlemanly conduct? What am I saying? This was a Cup Final, a showpiece event it is true, but a Cup Final. Remember what Shankley said about football being more important than Life and Death? There's no gentlemanly conduct in war is there? Well apart from the Geneva Convention and that seems to be flouted all the time these days anyway. No, Jamie was right to give that instruction! He was leading, setting an example, showing the world that winning at all cost is more important than honouring the spirit of the game. Jamie deserves a medal. Oh, of course, he got one!
So I don't want a repeat of the vicious abuse of Terry and Lampard - that cannot be justified under any circumstances, and nor do I want to see the guy get the whistle every time he touches the ball. That's not what he deserves. In fact, why not give him a plaque before kick off thanking him for his services to the National team and to the spirit of the game? Jamie Carragher, Liverpool and England God, a figure admired and revered by every Hammer in the land. Jamie, this blog salutes you!
Get your facts straight...Carragher was with England for years and then McLaren picked Woodgate and King ahead of him and realised his time was up so moved aside to do the right thing by his family. Anyway, what the hell has the England team got to do with todays game? Or are you one of the littel Johnny Englander's that I thought we only see at the village teams like Blackburn and Barnsley etc?
ReplyDeleteI personally couldn't give a toss about the England team and find it quite funny when the media builds them all up and then they get found out by the first decent team they play. Shows that they are not as good as they think they are.
You are an embarassment to West Ham.
ReplyDeleteYour 'version' of the Lampard affair is SO inaccurate it's not even worth commenting further on.
Wow! I hope West Ham fans follow your lead and boo Carra. I'm sure it will improve his game!
ReplyDeleteMethinks you need to get some medication. Oh and by the way, remove the "" around "If I'm not number one, I'm not playing and sod the country." if you want to avoid old Bill coming round. Carra never said any such thing.
What a pathetic arcticle!
ReplyDeleteCoultn't even read past half way!
...and I thought Stan Collymore was a bad writer!
Embarassing...
Garbage...written by cybernet geek.
ReplyDeleteWE ALL DREAM OF A TEAM OF CARRAGERS !! A TEAM OF CARRAGERS !! HAAAAAHAHAHAHA UR AN IDIOT WERE NOT ENGLISH ANYWAY WERE SCOUCE HA U LOVE THE QUEEN WE LOVE CARRA
ReplyDeleteAre you even a West Ham fan? I have read some rubbish on some of these football blogs but this is right up there with the worst.
ReplyDeleteAnd why so offensive? I can only assume that you are a supporter of another club and are just trying to stir trouble.
You didn't attend the Chelsea game so you can't really pass judgement!...will you be going today?
ReplyDeleteps most hammers fans think you are a joke!
I'm a WHU fan I agree with Jamie for quitting England he was only being used as a fringe player and when any youngster's came in he was pushed aside he's been superb for LFC and to be fair if he's good enough for them he is good enough for England, I don't understand why you think it's ok to slate him and not Terry and Lampard (not that i really agree with that either), personally i've never booed any WHU player past or present just move on!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a complete blurt, West ham fans will be ashamed at having such a low life-form as a supporter, a thing so ill at ease in it's own skin that it feels the need to spout vile diatribe at others in an attempt to make them feel as bad as it does, obviously that won't work, spiteful creatures such as the writer of the above article are as low as life has de-volved so far in the known universe, they are few and far between, no human will ever feel the same self loathing as the author of that pathetic rant.
ReplyDeleteSort of feel sorry for the 'THING' really, must be very lonely being something like that, no-one wanting to touch or interact with it due to the stench and disgusting habits he undoubtedly has.
All my love...rascal (in RED).
God you're a tit.
ReplyDeleteAny'pool fans reading this tripe,
sorry.
He sure ain't one of ours.
I've been a West Ham fan for nearly 40 years, I'm married to a beautfiul intelligent woman from Liverpool and I have two beautiful sons, half London, half scouse. I always tend to read your blog, I don't know why because you're always quite volatile. This is a very foolish article and deeply prejudiced, I'm tired of the jokes made about 'thieving scousers' it's old, it's untrue and it wasn't even funny when the whole generalisation began. Liverpool is a brilliant city with a brilliant night life, you ever go there on a Saturday night? It's one of the best nights out you're ever likely to have, everyone is so friendly and happy it's an embarrasment to the coldness and rudeness of a night out in London, people are just too damn cool in London sometimes. You need to come down to earth mate, you're trying to divide people through football, but blood is thicker than anything, especially f'n football, or would you die for your stupid footie team rather than your kids first? I'm bringing up my sons to support both teams, because it's fun - fun, you get it?
ReplyDeleteInteresting to read the highly predictable responses from Liverpudlians about why Carragher is right to turn his back on England. It is all self above others, so typical unfortunately of "warm hearted Liverpool", a city with a massive chip on it's shoulder that feels the world owes it a living. I will knock off a detailed article about the Liverpool complex but I must nail my colours to the mast here and say that I had a certain sympathy with our esteemed Mayor of London when he made his comments about Liverpool. It always happens to Liverpool and Liverpudlians doesn't it? And it is never their fault is it? Pure chance, that and the fact that the whole world has got it in for Liverpool, a city built on the profits of the slave trade in the first place.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to the question, have I ever spent a night out in Liverpool, I can answer yes. I attended a wedding in Liverpool and stayed at the Adelphi. When we returned in the early hours, we literally had to step over people drunk in the doorway. Girls virtually unconscious, their knickers on display, guys aggressively begging fags and money; and there were pools of sick everywhere. It was truly disgusting! But that's not truly representative of Liverpool is it? Just happened to go there on a bad night I'm sure!
To be honest i will people get sucked into thinking that Carragher is better than he really is. I don't really watch him play to be honest but form what i have seen he constantly is getting caught out for pace and makes mistakes like the ones at Arsenal (4-4) As for turning down England, he needs to stop being a bitch. The whole idea about the England team, in particular the centre backs, is you need to be vey very good and reliable and consistent, something Carragher is not. And Spencerc how can England have fringe players? lol
ReplyDeleteIm a hammers season ticket holder and i just want to appologise to all Liverpool fans for this total idiots story. He is just looking for a response and does not represent in any way shape or form 99.99% of hammers fans. I have always found liverpool fans to be humerous decent and know their football. You play the right way and you have awsome worldwide support. The cup final in 2006 was one of the greatest days of my life even though we lost it due to both sets of fans getting on amazingly but then again this total arsehole that writes this crap wouldnt have been there as he never goes to the games and just wants to stir up trouble. Carras not all bad either as he scored for us in the cup final as well. Again sorry liverpool fans and to the arsehole who writes this please just go away you dont represent us you are a joke and a disgrace. You are just hated now

ReplyDeleteTo 1223, the term "wanker" is an insult for a good reason, yet time and again, you come on here boasting about being one. Says it all really!
ReplyDeleteTo 1219, all clubs have a mix of great fans and scum amongst their fan base. My issue with Liverpool is that they are ALWAYS the victims. Heysel? It was the stadium's fault, nothing to do with Liverpool fans trying to attack the Juve fans was it? That guy in prison after the game against AC Milan? Mistaken identity. Must be. Always is. Never get the right guy when Liverpool are involved do they?
I start the article by owning to the scum in our own face base; when the people of Liverpool stop closing ranks to protect the villains, and stop blaming everybody else for their own failings (and there are some controversial examples that could be quoted here!), then I will soften my attitude. But time and time again, it is somebody else's fault and the whole world is expected to bleed in sympathy for Liverpool. Maybe a good hard long look in the mirror might help. Four guys who wrote pop songs and a decade or two of dominating in English and European club football is about the long and the short of the City's glory. Big deal.
You are very obviously not a west ham fan or a complete idiot who hasn't got a scoopy doo.
ReplyDeleteF*ck off and write about another club. Sounds to me like you'll suit chelsea to totscum.
There's been so many forum discussions about how shit your blog is. Close this site down now.
Interesting the way Carragher's comments about Neill have been ignored!
ReplyDeleteTalk about an over the top reaction! I am calling for Carragher to get the bird because:
ReplyDelete1) He walked out on England.
2) He wanted his mates to beat up Lucas Neill and boasted about it in a book.
3) He gave the instruction to cheat in the last minute of the Cup Final.
Why the big deal?
What an absolute knob you are!
ReplyDeleteYou need a knob to open a door. Am I the knob or are you the knob for coming to the site, reading and replying in that fashion. Explain WHY Carragher doesn't deserve the disapprobation of the West Ham crowd!
ReplyDeleteIve been on this blog about three times as it keeps coming up on our news portal. A few times i've had a pop back personally at West Ham but this time I'm staying quite calm. Most of the responses seem to be West Ham fans who areclearly embarrised my the moron who wrote the article. If it's not him then it's his sidekick Celtic Hammer and I'd challenge the both of them while West Ham are playing any game to both stand up when it's a bit quiet and say "I'm Hammersfan and I'm Celtichammer" I can see them getting coined to death by the decent West Ham fans. Why should Carra keep going on international duty and be constantly picked by players he feels he is better than, players who cannot even train with their clubs as they are that injury prone. Spurs fans would debate that King and Woodgate are better players than Carra and that's their opinion but he never moaned about it or threatened to leave wheras blackmailing an England manager, he just left and said he had retired. Just like Paul Scholes left for not taking the nonsense of being played out of position to accomodate a player of less ability. Hammersfan and Celtichammer have skeleton's in the closet and call me paranoid have an afinity to a club but i've a feeling it isn't WestHam. He states again that we are whinging scousers which in his terms he clarified we are whinging scousers because we won't let Hillsborough lie. These were comments he made about three weeks ago in a little blog which also attacked Liverpool when calling all our players a disgrace for not waiving match fees for the Luton Town game in the same article he was doing his nut as to why Liverpool had not been put into administration just like his sidekick was doing again yesterday. Have I missed something in my 35 years or have in sometime West Ham and Liverpool had some big falling out as these two are more bitter and twisted than some of the bile that comes out of the Evertonians mouts but we expect that? Or like I said are they West Ham fans at all and why do their blogs keep turning up on our portal.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead Hammersfan give us some of your quotes about us scousers whinging and closing ranks and crying we are not to blame. Prepare to be ridiculled.
ReplyDelete1248 says, "If it's not him then it's his sidekick Celtic Hammer and I'd challenge the both of them while West Ham are playing any game to both stand up when it's a bit quiet and say "I'm Hammersfan and I'm Celtichammer" I can see them getting coined to death by the decent West Ham fans." For your information, "decent fans" do not coin people to death for disagreeing with them!
ReplyDeleteHe continues: "Why should Carra keep going on international duty and be constantly picked by players he feels he is better than, players who cannot even train with their clubs as they are that injury prone." The clue to the answer is in the word "Duty". We have a duty to our nation. Carragher earns a fantastic living out of football. How unfair that he has to join up with the England team every now and then , train, and maybe not get a game. Poor diddums! What about the fans, the lifeblood of the game, the people who pay Carragher's wages, and the people who are desperate for England to succeed. Is it really asking too much for Carragher to do his "duty"? Your word mate!
I make no reference to Hillsborough here. In fact this site carried a sympathetic article from Celtic about Hilsborough! Heysel is a completely different matter however. We missed playing in the UEFA Cup because Liverpool fans got EVERY club in England banned from European Competition because of the disgraceful scenes in Heysel. Yes the stadium was crap, yes the police were crap, but nobody would have died without Liverpool fans attacking Juve fans in the first place would they? But it was all UEFA's fault for selecting that stadium! They should have known better! What did they expect? This is Liverpool we are talking about! Not my words, the complaints of the people of Liverpool themselves!
You'd love to have Carragher in your team, hush your claat and get ready to receive a serious thrashing!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have him in the England squad! Sadly he doesn't want to put in his shift! As a player, yes I'd have him in our squad, though it is a toss up who is better Upson or Jamie Draft Dodger, and, as a club, we like to blood English youngsters so we will be keeping Tomkins in the team rather than buying a Spaniard / Bosnian / Serb / Brazilian / whatever. And our players turn up for England duty, the club doesn't arrange for operations to coincide with crucial England games!
ReplyDeleteI could have been ultra negative to you in my first post, but I wasn't, I thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt, I'm the LONDONER west ham supporter with the Liverpudlian wife and kids, it seems you truly do hate Liverpudlians, then you are a complete tosser as I suspected. You are an ignorant, rascist tosser, and I am deeply ashamed my beautiful football team has fucking arrogant simpleton supporters as you who obviously likes a fight. you've got fucking hate issues mate, if you seriously keep on generalising about a whole city of people you will never understand the deep complexity of a human being. "I attended a wedding in Liverpool and stayed at the Adelphi. When we returned in the early hours, we literally had to step over people drunk in the doorway. Girls virtually unconscious, their knickers on display, guys aggressively begging fags and money; and there were pools of sick everywhere. It was truly disgusting!" Yeah, and every other fucking city in this binge NATION of ours, you are really a fool, blinded by stupid logic, I feel sorry for you, I truly do, you've got a real problem with humanity. what happened in your past mate? let it out, let it go.
ReplyDeleteWow - is this serious? I think you need to cheer up. I currently live in London and it is difficult to argue that its a nice city. Crime is far worse than in Liverpool and the people certainly are, but I'm not bothered as I enjoy the place.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing your comments are pretty much born out of Jealousy. Liverpool is a great city that is improving quicker than anywhere else in the country, the football team also. I can only imagine it's Jealousy really. Why pick Carragher really? What was you REAL reason?
I've just worked you out. You are a deeply lonely man who has nothing better to do than incite people's fury because you don't get much attention. I bet you're the kind of person who sets hedges on fire just to see the ambulance turn up and say to yourself, "ha ha I caused that." not thinking about the real fire across town with the children trapped in a house. I reckon you don't hate Liverpool at all, or any race for that matter, I think you love everyone, but no one loves you. You're comments don't endear you to anyone, stop hating, start loving, you'll get some love back then, love is a nice feeling, you never know, you might like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a red who has moved down to London. I've been down here for 7 years now and have a 2 year old son. I was intending on raising him as a Hammer - so he can support what I thought was a team supported by proper working class fans. What I would call a decent club, with history and fans who know the game, know why we watch the game and what it means to us. You have made me doubt my decision. You are a simpleton who is using football for the wrong reasons. The kind of fan I would expect to see at Milwall. I may now chose another side. You are not doing your club proud.
ReplyDeleteLOL I have stayed in hotels all over Britain and in many places around the world and I have NEVER experienced anything like that! I was amazed. The hotel was lovely inside but just outside the door...truly incredible.Anyway, it was in response to a question about whether I had ever been in Liverpool. I have and that is what happened. But I am at fault of course! I only noticed it because of my attitudes to the people of Liverpool! Like I only noticed the events in the Heysel stadium because I have a "racist" attitude towards the people of Liverpool, a city built on the profits of the slave trade!
ReplyDelete1343, your response is so typical! Call a West ham fan a pikey and he will respond, but not in such a heated way! The article is about Carragher, not Liverpool. Yes it does poke fun, using stereotypes as they relate to Carragher, but he conforms to those stereotypes. He does whinge, he does whine, he did cheat in that Cup Final, he doesn't seem to regard himself as English, he does expect the England team to be built around him, seeing himself as the centre of the universe, and he did write about wanted Neill beaten up. Don't blame me, blame Carragher - oh and those people paralytic drunk outside the Adelphi, and the "fans" who stormed the Juve section in Heysel. But no, none of them are to blame are they? Mistaken identity again! It wasn't Carragher what wrote it, it was his ghost writer! The drunks were from Manchester! They were Juve fans attacking Juve fans, they were just wearing Liverpool colours! The world out to get Liverpool again!
This is embarassing to all Hammers. I doubt he's even a West Ham fan and just some troll on a wind up.
ReplyDeleteI've got no problem with LFC or scousers and been treated well whenever I've gone up there.
Ps. I was out in the West End last night and couldn't move for sick and piss and abusive chavs staggering about all over the place. Luckily I'm not a generalising moron.
First comment, Sean from Liverpool, and I quote: "I personally couldn't give a toss about the England team and find it quite funny when the media builds them all up and then they get found out by the first decent team they play." Hmmmm. Pleased when England lose. Says a lot!
ReplyDeleteHammersfan
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of all the hammers that are saying you are an embarassment to the club?
1400. Don't forget Liverpool fans have travelled down for the game!
ReplyDelete; )
Lighten up!
They would be the same Hammers fans who hiss to simulate gas chambers when we play Tottenham would they? And the same Hammers fans who hung an effigy of Beckham? And the same Hammers fans who hurled abuse at Ince, Terry and Lampard? What do I think? I think Carragher deserves to be whistled which is what I say!
ReplyDeleteI'm not even sure what this piece is about. The weird timing aside, it seems to have gone from condeming him for his decision to retire from international football, to blaming him for Heysel and the booze culture that infests every major city in the UK, and then a bizarre hatefilled rant about Liverpool.
ReplyDeleteOr have I missed something here?
Are you having a go at your own fans now? Assuming that they are the ones being abussive? Is there anyone that you arent generalistic about?
ReplyDeleteAh, so he's not a Hammer and just a sad attention seeking little troll.
ReplyDeletePoor fella. Obviously got some 'issues'.
Hurled abuse you say??
ReplyDeleteIn this day and age?
Shirley not.
Sickening.
Yes you have missed something anonymous 1408. Read the original article, that is what it is about. The comments section tends to go off on tangents because of the related arguments that are put up by people who do not address the issues. So far, nobody has justified Carragher's book, Carragher's instruction to cheat in the Final and Carragher's failure to do his England duty. That is what the article is about!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou want him to justify his book?
ReplyDeleteYou're not very bright are you, lets face it.
To the latest two anons, I condemn the actions of our fans in relation to Lampard and Terry in the opening paragraph of the original article. That doesn't mean I don't support West Ham, it means I disapprove of the actions of a section of the crowd who participated in that. That is the point I make about the people of Liverpool - the closing of ranks and being blind to how they are often at fault. That is not a virtue!
ReplyDelete1414, explain. Do you mean, "I wrote it in my book because I wanted it to sell and I don't care about the example it sets to young fans in Liverpool who idolise me?
ReplyDelete1409 The troll reference exposes you as an orger. How many posts as "Mr Outraged of Upton Park" on this thread I wonder?
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad little man you are.
ReplyDeleteFirst things first Liverpool fans pay Carra's wages not England fans. Pitty the England fans did not show John Barnes some respect while on international DUTY(figure of speach)instead of booing him.If you want to see what the scouse think of nternational DUTY softlad go the army careers office and join up and see what proportion of the population that are fighting in Afghanistan are scouse. As for your whinging jibe then you did mention Hillsborough in your blog on the 14th April so don't try and deny that one. Again you bring up Heysel, A decrepid stadium which UEFA were forwarned by liverpool Football Club as unsafe advice was ignored just like Athens in 2007. 39 Juventus fans unfortunately died that died after a wall collapsed when the Juventus fans were chased by the liverpool fans due to a number of factors as well as inadiquate segregation. High Ranking police officers and leading figures in the Belgian FA went to jail, Why if it was the fault of the Liverpool fans? Liverpool fans were also quite rightly jailed and we take away any faults of any body else and take the whole blame for the 39 deaths as this being our darkest hour. Lets just hope that all of the legging that goes on around nearly every football ground that nothing ever happens like this again. You say decent fans would not coin you and your sidekick to death, I think your wrong mate as they would not be decent if they did not put you two out of your misery. as for bodies lying in the doorway of the Adelphi it is virtually impossible as their is no corridor so anyone lying on the floor would be run over in the 30 ft long sliproad used by the hackney carriage. As for the rest of your attack about Liverpool as a city then you really are clutching at straws now. As for Boris he was refering to - you guessed it Hillsborough because we are constantly whinging because there are 96 families that want to stop being lied to and someone take the blame, After all we held our hand's up over Heysel.
ReplyDeleteThen why the assumption that any hammer who has come on here and called you an embarassment to the club (who are coming across as much more intelligent than you and probably less likely to have dished out the abuse you have spoken of) are the ones dishing out such abuse.
ReplyDeleteHave you had anyone backing you here? Does that not make you think you might be wrong?
Re 14.19. I salute you sir.
ReplyDeleteanon 1355 don't tar them all with the same brush as it's easy to get annoyed with this blert but most if not all West Ham fans replying think the div's a tosser anyway. Let your lad be a hammer but let's hope for god sake he does not end up with a seat next to this moron
ReplyDelete1419, "decent" fans would not coin anybody. Do you understand the term "Oxymoron"?
ReplyDeleteI do not need to be segregated from anybody. I am a thinking, intelligent human being who can control my own actions. You segregate animals. You are doing exactly what I said Liverpool fans do, blaming others instead of those responsible. I would not have charged the Juve fans. Would you? You take the blame but blame others! Are you Gordon Brown by any chance? "I take full responsibility which is why I insisted that the person responsible resigned."
Wasn't Boris talking about Rhys when he made his comments?
The drunks were on a narrow pavement and in the doorway. Getting past them was decidedly tricky! And you suggesting I imagined it? Typical!
Don't try and reason with him, he's probably getting off on all the attention. Another lonely Saturday night dreaming up another hatefilled rant beckons.
ReplyDeleteBless.
Does anybody want to justify Carragher's actions?
ReplyDeleteWasn't Boris talking about Rhys?
ReplyDeleteErr, no, but don't let that stop you talking shite and using the deaths of innocent men, women and children to score cheap points on your sad little angst ridden blog.
Ps. The Adelphi entrance is at the top of a long flight of steps and has no pavement, you deluded liar.
If you want a sensible debate about Carragher, I suggest you stop generalising about Liverpool and bringing up human tragedies to bait LFC fans and fuel your warped view of the world.
ReplyDeleteHammersfan how many times do I have to explain whose fault Heysel was? It was our's Liverpool fans. Now you ignorant horrible **** just like when you were losing the battle a few weeks ago you threw Hillsborough in now your doing it with a poor kid who got shot in crossfire. Is this another slant for you to have another go at Liverpool because Johnsons comments came about 4 years before Rhys was killed.
ReplyDeleteYou say animals are fenced off and segragated, Quite right. Explain then why we had segregation?
ReplyDelete"Crossfire"? Oh, that's alright then! No blame there then, it was the kid's fault for being in the wrong place at the wrong time! I did not bring up Rhys, I said that is what Boris was talking about. I thought it was!
ReplyDelete1435, those steps never touch the ground. The bottom step floats about twenty feet in the air! It is a modern miracle, truly a stairway to heaven. All those drunks? Venial sinners in Purgatory, awaiting Mary's hand to lift them into Paradise!
Can I suggest you ALL read the article again carefully. I think this reaction is very over the top! I defend the guy and the City!
ReplyDelete; }
Congratulations on THE most pathetic 'story' on the Internet today.
ReplyDeleteAll the 'facts' are wrong - and I'd like to see Carra sue you for defamation as your quote is also rubbish.
Don't really like West Ham all that much - but with fans like you I can see why you're pretty much disliked everywhere.
How can you say you defend the guy and the city?
ReplyDeleteRead the article!
ReplyDeleteI've read the article and all the post's!!!
ReplyDeleteCrossfire? no it's not allright. What are you on about no blame there then. The **** that done it as just been given 18 years min so what r you rambling on about. This isn't a West Ham fan.
ReplyDeleteOf course I don't think its alright. Understand irony?
ReplyDeleteRead it again Spencerc! With your glasses on this time!
; }
don't be a tit just because you use "some say" in front of everything YOU wrote in the article, after you started receiving grief you picked up your shovel and just started digging a big hole and then accused all the WHU fans that disagree with you as being the sort who hiss at the spurs fans, maybe you should re-read all the replies you have left just to see what an idiot you really are, FROM A REAL HAMMERS FAN!
ReplyDeletelatest scores

I find it somewhat odd that people drag CelticHammer into this post. For all the posters/bloggers and website owners who write about WestHam I have never seen a guy provoke such a reaction as Celtic. I have read his post on this and other sites and while I do not agree with all of them I do find it funny when all most posters can respond with is comments calling him a moron or stupid.
ReplyDeleteHe cleary is neither.
He has drawn over 200 responses to some of his posts on this site and generates a lot of hits for the site. I do think he is guilty of over reacting to some posters but at the same time I find his articles interesting.
appologies for talking about myself in the 3rd person in that post! I cut and pasted it and should have changed it, maybe its the early signs of medlamania!
ReplyDeleteYour talking about Celtichammer, You are Celtichammer! Hillarious you have just slipped up, I knew all along that Hammersfan and Celtic hammer was the same person. It's sad when you have to have a duplicate ID just so someone agrees with you , Ha Ha yourself! fn MAJIC!
ReplyDeletejust because he's drawn 200 responses why does that not make him a moron
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Celtichammer or should I call you Hammersfan. You would not have to cut and paste nothing when your just posting a comment. As for the 200 responses you or HIM got they were hardly responding it was more like humilliating. He is a moron and you are stupid and he is stupid and your a moron ,Oh yes your him!!!!LOL hillarious.
ReplyDeletesurely if 98% of the responses are negative towards him and disagree with him he's getting something wrong, getting hits on you blog does not make him a good writer or intelligent in anyway it just mean he is annoying people and you don't need to be clever to do that do you hammersfan/cetichammer whoever you are today?
ReplyDeleteAt this juncture, maybe I should interpose with a real life problem currently being experienced within my own family - totally unrelated to West Ham mind - other than I live not far from UP. Maybe some one could advise ….. yes? May I?
ReplyDeleteCome on I'll probably get a response off Hammersfan soon saying "how dare you say i'm Hammersfan, I'm celtichammer".
ReplyDeleteSorry but I think you're way out on this one. As someone thoroughly bored by International football, I don't care about the England side. I've always said Internationals should be for amatuers from across the world. I resent our players going out on international duty and being returned broken (James, Ashton, Collins, Bellamy, Benayoun etc.) without compensation for the people who pay their wages - they don't even contribute to our medical bills ffs! Also, your criticism of Liverpool and its people is out of line. I went to uni there and found it to be a very nice place. In general, the people are FAR friendlier than in other places I have experience of, namely London and Manchester (where my brother went to uni). The city itself has its bad bits (which city doesn't?) but the main city centre is clean, bright and an interesting mix of old and new buildings. The only things I will criticise the Liverpool fans for is that they ARE bad losers, they DO tend to look to look for excuses for their failings. They are also bad winners, gloating a speciality. However, thats only half the city, I wouldn't put the Evertonians in these categories. Overall, I don't agree about Carragher and I don't agree about Liverpool. Sorry.
ReplyDeletewho do we all want to get relegated this year
ReplyDeleteIs right Spencerc sussed it now and he's a west ham fan. I can think about my own club Liverpool safe in the knowledge that every day spenc can weed you out.
ReplyDeleteDenbighhammer thanx for sticking up for our city, as for Liverpool fans being bad winners and losers - Y O U R W R O N G!!!!!!!!!! Only messing mate if thats what you feel that's your opinion and that's what football is all about opinions. Will admit though I hate losing. (and the blues***e r worse moaners than us).
ReplyDelete1556, that post didn't make any sense at all.
ReplyDeleteDen, why not make your debut article on why the World Cup should be scrapped? That should get people debating.
I don't think I'm excessively critical of the people of Liverpool Den, though I agree with everything negative that you say about Liverpool fans.
Celtic, what the fluck was that about mate? For those with suspicions, I am NOT Celtic, his old nemesis Scannel will confirm that when next on!
1549, it takes a special type of moron to type "your a moron". You mean, "you're a moron". Failed your English GCSE perhaps? If you're going to call somebody a moron, at least try to tidy up your English!
It's grammar not English at fault here "maybe something you should know"
ReplyDeleteGood point spencerc, and very well made! Except you needed parenthesis commas around the words "not English" and a semicolon before the word "maybe". 3/10. Could do better! ; ]
ReplyDeletestill at least I score higher than you're article eh!
ReplyDeleteThe post at 1556 means what it says - Spencerc being a West Ham fan can in form all the other West Ham fans when you are blogging your garbadge that Hammersfan/Celtichammer is the same person. SIMPLE!
ReplyDeleteI'm not angling here, but if you don't mind me asking what do you do for a living? just out of curiosity
ReplyDeleteThat was a joke wasn't it spencerc, that incorrect use of you're?
ReplyDeleteI think my article gets 9/10 actually - lots of reaction, some lively debate, a good prelude to the game!
1618 - Is that what you were trying to INFORM our readers about? If so, you are wrong! Celtic and I are different people and we haven't even met.
spencerc, I am a rocket engineer. Thus the jokey email address.
ReplyDeleteSo i'm getting an English lesson of Celtichammer/Hammersfan now cos I put your instead of you're. Deffo clutching at straws now saddo.
ReplyDeletenot a joke just a mistake, we all make them (jokie is not a real word) he he
ReplyDelete1623, it is off in your sentence, not of. You tell someone to "F off" not "F of"! You need some lessons from somebody. Not sure how good Celtic would be. He struggles with apostrophes himself!
ReplyDeleteIt has been nearly forty minutes - may I interpose with my unrelated family issue please? I'll try to use my best grammar - I promise.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Fulham are beating villa 3-1 arewe going to have one of those days when every result goes the wrong way?
ReplyDeleteWell I won't get any grammer lessons off celtichammer/hammersfan cos that would be a bit of a JOKEY!
ReplyDeleteIf not crude or racist or in any way defamatory towards the good and holy people of Liverpool, a city without sin or crime.
ReplyDeleteApostrophes needed in "cos". "A bit of a jokey"? Does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteNo; not Liverpool - Chelmsford actually.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteLady Gruntfuttock and I went to visit our daughter and her family in Chelmsford a few days back. The poor girl is rather distressed, as we are also. It appears that she has made a disturbing discovery; a discovery of circumstances with which she doesn't quite know how to deal. It's very disturbing for all of us really.
It appears that out young four year old grandson caught his mum (our daughter) and his dad in something of a *ahem* compromising position. Apparently mum was astride dad when the youngster walked in. She quickly dismounted and made off to square up and explain to her son what was happening.
She began by attempting to explain how that his dad's tummy was becoming larger in recent times because it was full of air and that she could help to remove it by sitting on him and pressing down on his tummy and rubbing it a little.
Apparently our young grandson, unimpressed, responded by advising his mum that she was wasting her time. Wasting her time, he said, because every time she went out to do the shopping, that Mrs. Wright from next door came in and blew him up again.
Ho ho ho.
ReplyDeleteVery good!!
ReplyDeleteSo what job do you really do, and don't say you run the thunderbirds fan club!
ReplyDeleteI am a rocket engineer mate.
ReplyDeleteyou must have made a mistake with your grammar it's pocket engineer surely?

ReplyDelete(Edited to remove foul language!) I'm a West Ham fan, to all Pool fans, I'm sure I have more in common with you than the fool who wrote this article. Here's a quote from Hammersfan- (Hammersfan, that's a laugh - tosserfan - you should change it to tosserfan) - "The comments section tends to go off on tangents because of the related arguments that are put up by people who do not address the issues." YOU are the one that cause these tangents you idiot, you slag off a whole city in your article- from one night out at the frigging Adeplhi, a wedding eh? I imagine there were some Liverpool folk there too, do you tar them with them same brush? What a nice human being you are. One night out in Liverpool and the tosser thinks he knows the city, what a fool! You're a berk mate and you obviously read The Daily Mail and believe all the mindless BNP crap that paper spews out of it's mouth on a daily basis and he quotes the buffoon Mayor of London? Been round hotels across the country have you - and never seen anything like Liverpool? I was brought up in Romford, a night out there is exactly the same, Watford you name it, every working town, every student town, young people drink too much, no hang on only scousers do that - idiot dumb motherlover. You're a fool aren't you? admit it.
ReplyDeleteI am actually quite happy calling you a racist, because you talk about Liverpudlians as if they are a race apart from you. What part of heavenly England do you come? I guess you think your crap don't smell either right? Correcting people's grammar, that's the lowest of the low, teenage stuff so here goes - this your quote hammersfan '1409 The troll reference exposes you as an orger' Orger? Do you mean Ogre? You're he ogre here mate, I mean...orger. And what's with this whole Liverpool was built on the slave trade? The whole of the country, the whole of western culture is guilty of that too - erm what else can you blame Liverpudlians for - erm global warming, yeah scousers, they're causing that erm...credit cunch - all the scousers fault yeah - erm...I'm a Hammers fan, and I never thought I'd say this but I'm glad the Pool just thrashed us, the team probably read your incendiary remarks before the game just to get you back. Hope you feel sick after that game, I for one am off out to get lashed, lie in the street and be sick in erm...Richmond, I might even put a skirt on and show me knickers - if you're stepping over me I might even lose the knickers for you - I know how much you like to peep.
ReplyDeleteLOL West ham fan and you were glad Liverpool thrashed us because of a blog? What a joke! You have shown your underwear there for sure! Stop cross dressing in claret and blue you scouse tranny!
ReplyDeleteSorry about Liverpool being built on the profits of the slave trade. That is a fact. Check it out!
I regard Liverpool as part of Great Britain, it is Scousers who often see themselves as a race apart. Check out the first reply to this post, a Scouser who wants England to lose so he can laugh!
Credit to West Ham today, they've always been a good traditional club and the vast majority of their fans are passionate and knowledgable about the game. But like all clubs they have a minority of morons, as seen with this odious piece of filth. If he is in fact a Hammer. I get the feeling he's just a troll with an axe to grind with Liverpool.
ReplyDeleteI really like Zola, too, a class act.
0-3, enuff said u hack! Eat it up baby.
ReplyDeleteTrust a bad Penner to turn up in the end!
ReplyDeleteLOL West ham fan and you were glad Liverpool thrashed us because of a blog? What a joke!
ReplyDeleteI am a West Ham fan from Romford and have supported West Ham for 40 years but my wife and kids are Liverpudlian - so no, this is no f'n joke. Your comments made this very personal to me. I love West Ham, when I don't get to a game I listen to the match on radio avidly, when it's not on the radio I check the BBC Premiership live txt avidly every two minutes, but you crossed a line with your prejudiced comments, and you made it personal today, if you had kids you'd understand, so yes I am glad Liverpool beat us today, because of course I care more about my family than I do you a fellow west ham supporter and if today's loss hurt you, then too bad, West Ham losing today made me not so bitter as usual for a Saturday eve knowing you were 100% aggrieved by the loss. You know I honestly feel sorry for you, I truly do. You're plain ignorant, you need to be educated. Racism, bigotry, plain idiocy usually gets passed on within families and continues to breed within circles of bad friends. My dad grew up in Islington in the 40's then we moved to Ronford, I grew up with his racist comments and am very proud I didn't let him pass them on to me. I had educated friends at school, I was lucky. You've clearly been unlucky in your life, you've never met someone who showed how life really is. Keep your blinkers on, but one day maybe you'll be lucky enough to have someone remove them, it won't be me I know ranting at you on this blog, it'll be the black Liverpudlian surgeon who saves your f'n bigoted life one day or the tranny Liverpudlian who you fall in love with and breaks your heart.
LOL It is all coming out now! Dear me you change your jobs and locations don't you mate? I know, you aren't who I think you are! You just happen to pick up on the black surgeon you were going on about the other night in a desperate attempt to prove me a racist. Funny that! Well done for picking up on so many old arguments but it does give the game away somewhat. Kids? I shouldn't think you have much semen left after all your self pleasuring! Pleased West Ham lost because of a blog eh? Says it all. My wife comes from Chelsea territory, I wouldn't care what anybody said about South London Pikeys (her father has made a fortune out of the rag and bone trade as it happens) I would never want West Ham to lose; but then I'm a real West Ham fan.
ReplyDeleteMate I don't rate anything you write on these blogs, you like to pick up on something/anything that you preceived as wrong doing from any time regardless of the situations which surroned the afformentioned situations. Eg. Heysel tragady is now EVERY Liverpool fans fault, regardless of age, or where they were at that time.
ReplyDeleteAs a real West Ham fan you sure as hell take up alot of issue's involving every other club than your own. On that basis you cannot be a real Iron.
I have no issue's with West Ham fans but you certinly push the bounderies and I think you do it to make you feel happier about your team's failures.
"LOL It is all coming out now! Dear me you change your jobs and locations don't you mate? ....I would never want West Ham to lose; but then I'm a real West Ham fan."
ReplyDeleteKeep up with your blogs mate, run through all the comments by the people who hate your guts, West Ham Fans included and you'll see that I've been consistent in who I've said I am and where I'm from right from the get go, born in Romford, Liverpudlian wife and kids, no f'n lie. So someone else has spoken about a black surgeon? Then you must be a racist if you've provoked someone else to mention something similar, it weren't me the first time but if you truly want to think you only rile the same anonymous person every time you write a blog then fine, but I get a sense there's a lot of us out there that hate you. And yeah, I'm a true West Ham fan, I love them to bits but second to my family, so when I say I was happy they lost because it hurt you it means an f'n lot and shows you the extent of how much I hate your friggn guts, and yet you STILL haven't denied you're a racist. You're a coward because you never answer it, because you hate to lie right? And yet you're too much of a coward to say you're a racist because you'd be shut down, and so you should, spouting off your aryan crap, but I know what you are, you can't hide it, you're desperate to show your BNP colours aren't you, come on, you f'n coward admit it. You're clearly a homophobic too, some homophobics have deeply repressed gay urges. How does my profile of you sound? Getting close?
1638, your rant is laughably sad, a good and appropriate oxymoron in the circumstances. In your pathetic attempt to prove me a racist and a homophobe, you flaunt your own racist and homophobic attitudes. Why describe a surgeon as black? A surgeon is a surgeon, his colour is utterly and completely irrelevent - only a racist would feel the need to specify the colour as if it is somehow paradoxical for a surgeon to be black. As for your taunt that I might be homosexual, as if that would in some way insult me, what is that but naked homophobia? The fact that I am, in fact, black and gay somewhat undermines your argument but what the heck, rant away as much as you like, you are the one who ends up looking foolish. ; }
ReplyDeleteI looked up Hammersfan in the dictionary it said : racist, BNP loving, Liverpool hating, homophobic, talentless hack, enjoys winding people up, sad and lonely, has nothing better to do, loves only himself and Jim Davidson.
ReplyDeleteyou're black and gay? woo! Me too. we should hook up then. Does your wife from Chelsea know you're gay?
ReplyDeleteLOL she doesn't exist. She is a virtual wife.
ReplyDeleteWhy describe a surgeon as black? A surgeon is a surgeon, his colour is utterly and completely irrelevent - only a racist would feel the need to specify the colour as if it is somehow paradoxical for a surgeon to be black.
ReplyDeleteOooh cripes, you're so smart, turned the tables, you turned the tables, did you see that, did you see what he did there? Very clever. I can't prove you're a racist, I KNOW you're a racist, if you can express sucg pathetic general jibes at the WHOLE of Liverpool then that is all the proof I need. No homophobia from me mate, I'm bisexual. Racist? My wife is black. I'm the fool? Every single utterance you say is utter turd.I am done with you.
And I thought we were going to get it together!
