Jimenez and Mancini in the bag?
OK, I will probably wake up and find this is all a dream but, according to The Sun (I know, I know) but anyway, according to The Sun, we have landed both Jimenez and Mancini from Inter Milan. Yes, that's right, two fully fledged South Americans who, it is to be hoped, we are allowed to play without paying compensation to Shafting United.
I must admit that I don't know a huge amount about either of them, but Mancini played 20 times for Inter this season just gone, so that would imply that the guy can play a bit. He plays right midfield or on the wing so this suggests that Faubert's days are up if we can find a taker. What-is-more, the guy has played for Brazil 6 times.
Jimenez, meanwhile, is a creative / attacking midfielder who has played 19 times for Chile. Hopefully he will prove a little more effective than our last Chilean import, Javier Margas.
Now, let's sort out a right back, recruit Sturridge, keep Ashton and Dyer fit and then launch a bid for the Premiership. Hang on, have I walked through a portal into Championship Manager?
hang on hammersfan, this is a bit positive for you, do you need a lie down! seriously though, these are great players and not the sort that I and other hammers had expected.COYI
ReplyDeleteHow can you be a football blogger and not know anything about Mancini!! the guys a wizard played on the left at Roma- so will do that for us I guess, its a very clever ploy by Duxberry no money spent- decent players- and we become a more attractive prospect to be sold...job done!
ReplyDeleteLets hope they amount to more than Faubert did.....
ReplyDeleteand theres a swedish chap too and some american and that chap rolls
ReplyDeleteWould be brilliant to see Mancini and Jiminez come and get rid faubert, but im not going to believe it until it happens. this also stinks like someones looked at tevez and mascherano and tried to copy it
ReplyDeletethey call him the human stepover. check him on utube. dunno what u think but that only leaves rw between behrami, nobes and collison or savio
ReplyDeletethe lad Mancini looks sh*thot ! just watched him on youtube and jimenez is also a very good signing. i just hope it all goes through ok.roll on aug 15th coyi
ReplyDeleteBe careful with YouTube - it made Faubert look brilliant before he joined us. There is even footage of Boa-Morte SCORING GOALS!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have seen of Mancini, the guy's mustard, a very skillful player indeed, but part of me is expecting to read tomorrow that it was all a load of bollocks.
ReplyDeleteLOL 1815, just like my dreams eh? Fingers crossed it is actually true!
ReplyDeleteEXCLUSIVE! Just seen Faubert at Basildon United from the Essex flip flop league for talks, apparentley all he wants is £200 worth of Lakeside vouchers! Honest!.
ReplyDeletePositive move by Zola if there is any truth in it. Mancini is a great player during his Roma days. A bit inconsistent but still has the quality. Jimenez or El Mago on the other hand is just the type of player you want to partner Parker with. A very attack minded player and can frustrate opponents with his terrific skill on the ball. Check out his performance against AC Milan on Youtube and you will see why. Shame though he hasn't played much last season because of injury.
ReplyDeleteYou call yourself a football blogger and you don't know anything about MANCINI?? WHO ARE YOU.
ReplyDeleteWasteman, go back to your isolated cabin in the woods of Sherwood Forest you moron.
Why don't you enlighten us all RJ? Actually I saw him in the flesh playing for Roma at Inter a few years back. He didn't make a huge impression in that game to be honest.
ReplyDeletea couple of transfers seems to sort out your blogging aswell.
ReplyDelete6th August!!
ReplyDeleteStraumur must still convince its creditors that its plans for West Ham and its other managed assets are acceptable. The bank is attempting to transform itself into an asset-management company but will need a "composition agreement" to be granted by creditors, who will be asked to accept a fixed sum for what they are owed, at a meeting on 6 August. Should they fail to reach an agreement, Straumur would be wound up, a move that could have serious implications on the stability at Upton Park.
Dicks might be right to worry if the Straumur meeting on 6th August doesn't go well. Let's hope it's good news
ReplyDeleteDunno about you folks but i'm very optimistic about this season. I have predicted the results of all our fixtures in terms of win, lose or draw and i am estimating 57 points, 6 more than last season. I did of course estimate almost top points against newly promoted and loses for all top 6 away, but thats my prediction. Now if we can get these two, which the sun have boudly claimed we have, i may bump it up to 60! Bring on europe
ReplyDeletepls lets hope we sort out the meeting on the 6th of aug and we have signed the inter pair COYI!!!
ReplyDeleterj 1944,your a gobshite,,,go away !! anon 2210, can you not see light at d end of d tunnel ?? did the last owners not have the same prob, and sorted sheffscum out nd moved on,we just signed a top striker and a winger from milan and more on d way with a bit of luck,.,me thinks were goin forward and not, backwards as a lot of people seem to think, why dont you put your head between your legs and vanish up your hole,,twat !!!
ReplyDeletePicking the bones out of the groundhog left me asking a few questions. GZ has said he wants a 20/21 man outfield squad, which must pretty much come down to two players for each position, so where are these two intended to fit in? We are currently short of a first choice right back and striker and back up left back, defensive midfield and striker. We've landed a right sided midfielder (Behrami) and attacking midfielder (Noble) so who's going to play where?
ReplyDeleteI can see Behrami covering the defensive midfield spot, I think it may well turn out to be his best position, so will we take the money for Parker if it's forthcoming?
And what about Noble? Could there be some truth in the rumour? Or has GZ come to the conclusion that many of us have; that Dyer will probably never make a telling claret and blue contribution? If he has then he may have come to the same conclusion about Ashton and Gabbidon. That would mean we also need another striker and centre back. With Upson on his way too, we could see a very different squad next year.
I know we're all dreaming of days of wine and roses but are we really going to sign Mancini? The frenzy to sign a diamond now has us linked with Cato as a surprise striker, Herb Alpert is looking rock solid with the Tijuana brassnecks and could give us a solid base in defence and if Nani gets his way Acker Bilk could be a stranger no more. Anyway, enough speculation, I'm off down the road for breakfast at Tiffanys.
ReplyDeleteVery good eL M hope you had a good breakfast (You should go lightly at lunchtime ).
ReplyDeleteI hope it's all true and he 'scores' a couple of goals.
I can see the headlines now : 'The Pink Panther strikes again'.
I still think we should have signed Rodrigo Borgia.
6.
on another note i herd from whtid blog that manc city have put in a bid of 17 mil for upson he said it was from talk sport and if true i think we should bite their hand of he is 30 and we good get a decent defender for 10 mil and put the seven mil to buy jimenez and then we could secure mancini on a perminant deal next year all good at upton park and does anyone know if they have acctually signed yet
ReplyDeleteI can believe it of Unreal City mate! I'd say we will take the
ReplyDelete£17m but we want Caicedo on loan too - and you can pay his wages! Remember, that offered £100m for £56m Kaka and £120m for £80m Ronaldo. More money than sense!
Another SHIT posting form you I see! We have't signed shit!
ReplyDelete1331 "We haven't signed shit"? Have you seen Faubert 'play'?
ReplyDeleteYou missed the point! When I said we haven't signed shit! I meant it as we haven't signed ANYONE!!!
ReplyDeleteYou stated we had sigbe Juminez and Mancini!
I said we haven't signed shit!
Derrrrrr, I know what you meant. Irony really does pass one hundred feet over you head doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteFull on blanket suffocation of every thing West Ham...business as usual eh Fanno...still they are enjoyable reads and amusing if not somewhat tongue in cheek.Keep it up son and hopefully I'll get to write some stuff soon
