Should We Let Tottenham Take The Jimmy Riddle?

Apparently Tootatthem are sniffing around our number one target, preparing a bid of £10m for Jimenez. Now is 'Arry taking the piss, is this just spoiling tactics from the Brown Manila Envelope King as he desperately struggles to retain goal difference superiority over little old bankrupt West Ham, or is this Jimmy Riddle the real deal?

I must admit that I don't know much about the guy but isn't that significant? I didn't know much about Di Michele either, or Dos Santos, or Roman Pavlova or a whole host of Jimmy Foreigners who are recruited to play in our Premiership. £10m sounds a lot to me in the current market (ignoring the worlds of Real Madrid and Unreal City)and I'm not sure he would be a wise purchase.

On the other hand, we know that Darren Bent can do it in the Prem because he has a proven track record. 'Arry doesn't fancy him - but then 'Arry doesn't want to be associated with anything bent does he? So my solution, let 'Arry take the piss and try to solve the Jimmy Riddle whilst we take Bent off his hands and team him up with Carlton Cole. I reckon £6m could land him and, to close the deal, 'Arry might even throw in his goal scoring wife as part of the bargain!

  3. £6million!?!?! Are you having a bubble!?!?

"we know that Darren Bent can do it in the Prem because he has a proven track record."

Do you actually think that £6million is going to be enough for the highest goalscorer (outside the top 4) in the Premier League then yeah?!?

    Mate, you're deluded

Hi, Spurs fan here (sorry and all that).

I follow all the rumours for us as much as you probably do for the Hammers and I'll honestly say Jimenez barely figures. I'd be amazed if we were trying to gazzump you.

Benty would be ace for you. Christ, he's ace for us. He's a bit one-dimensional but when that dimension is 'guaranteed goals' we shouldn't complain.

But you're right that Harry doesn't fancy him and sure he'll move on. 6m is laughable, however. Add a one on the front and that's his worth. He may end up going for 12m if we allow it (he's on a long contract, is young and how much are teams paying for proven PL quality Number 9s? Lots because they're few and far between).

Frankly, unless your new owners are super-minted Sunderland will outbid you and he'll go there.

Either way, it'll be sad to see him go. I really think it'll be tough to find a quality goal-scorer to replace him.

*Goes off to pretend there's anything in these rumours we're signing RVN*

  6. F*ck me!!! To say you're obsessed with Tottenham is an understatement. I think you're a closet Spurs fan working undercover in the murky world of the unfortunates that is West Ham.

If Jiminez wants to join a club that's got a chance of success he shouldn't be joining West Ham! No matter how hard you try you'll always finish below Spurs.

Aren't you lot about to go under in the next 48hrs? Apparently the consortium that bought you is about to go bust!

But expecting you to right about somehting other than Spurs is asking a bit much isn't it?

  7. Why are you commenting on tabloid rubbish concerning Spurs if you are not jealous of them? Get over it. Move on. Concern yourself with your own tin pot team.

What is it with your clubs pointless obsession with Spurs lol Does anyone know the real reason why that is?

And £6m for Bent? Even more stupid than even I thought x

  8. If Bent leaves Spurs it will be for more than £6mill. Realistically 10, you need to remember he is a proven goal scorer (and english) and even though he only played for bits of the season, and was rare starter - he still scored alot of goals. More than most strikers in the league. Bent will do well, no matter where he ends up. Im sure of that.. I just doubt it will be at west ham, seeing as your arrogant CEO Scott Duxburry basically said he would never sell to spurs, although perhaps you lot done us a favour selling bellamy to city.

  9. 6m? Sunderland will pay double figures matey boy.
Also, I think that lying weasel Duxbury made it clear that West Ham won't be getting any cheap deals off Tottenham in the future with his little rant last season.

If Spurs want Jimmy, they will get him. West Ham will have to look for another target, as they can't compete with the likes of Tottenham.

  10. 'West Ham United - The Game's gone crazy'....strange name for a Spurs blog... What! Not a Spurs blog you say...then write something about your own fcuking team for a change...

  11. I Read your apology about the use of a moderator and the reasons for it. Then I read your article. Seems to me that you can say what you want how you want because it's your blog but if someone says something you do not like you will censor it.Are you by chance a fully paid up member of the BNP? Snide remarks about Harry Redknapp and brown envelopes are no better than racist or homophobic references. It appears that like most west ham people you have a huge chip on your shoulder about anything to do with Spurs. the eason you feel inferior is because you are inferior so get over it and get on with your life. Oh yea I don't suppose you are a big enough person to publish this comment. Written by 4everaspur.

  12. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to go one week without posting about Tottenham

If not, then this message will self-destruct and blow this site to pieces.

  13. Haha £6M for Bent are you joking Sunderland are going to pay £12M! Also where are you getting your money from? The reports I have read say that the the people who took over your mob have a finance issue as well = WHU are skint. I believe Upson has agreed to sell his house to swell your coffers or is that he's looking to leave?? Bent for £6M that you don't have, you spammers make me laugh!!

  14. £6m unlikely as Spurs turned dpwn £10m from Sunderland & Everton in the transfer window!

  15. This article is just dumb. No other word for it. Why are you speaking about "'Arry" as if you know him or anything about him??

'Arry is a mastermind in the transfer window. everyone knows it, time after time has he pulled out stars. he just lives football. Look what he did for a shit portsmouth side, look what he did for spurs in january.

I doubt any story about spurs after a right winger is true. Lennon??????? springs to mind. Not to mention Bentley who on his day is class, just getting a bad ride at the min.

Last but by no means least are you crazy? 6mil for a player spurs paid 16mil for and a player fwho scored 17/18 goals last season, 12 in the prem which was in or around the same number as people like Rooney and Torres. Obviously not comparing the players but your valuation of 6mil is a joke. He is probably on his way to sunderland in a swap deal for Jones!!!!!!!!

  16. part of me wants him to go to Tottenham n fail so that we can laugh. But by the same token, WE need him more as admittedly he 'sounds' good. Anyway, screw tottenham and Harry for being dicks!

  17. Do you guys read beyond the headline? The article is about who West Ham should buy! Any club paying £10m for Bent would be getting a bad buy. Yes, Sunderland might be stupid enough to do it but I doubt it. He is worth £6m to £8m on current values - he isn't an international class striker, just a good Premiership striker - like Kenwyne Jones who Spurs might pay £18m for!

  18. HF - What do you expect? They see 'Tottesham' in the title and they're all over it like a bad rash.

Funny how 'Arry 'not me guv' Redknap ex of WHU is an 'ero over there now eh? The second ex manager of a sworn 'enemy' to take the helm at the Lane. LOL

The great Bill Nicholson will be turning in his grave.
