Man City's Bellyache To Tottenham?

How ironic would it be if Mr Bellamy were to join Tottenham this summer? After all Scott Duxbury said about not selling to the Cockyfools, how frustrating would it initially seem if Redknapp was able to pick him up for less than he would have paid to buy him direct from ourselves?

Well, ironic or not, I hope it happens because, personally, I do not understand Bellyache's appeal. Yes he is a ferret, yes he winds up opponents, but is he really a top class Premiership striker? Not in my book. His goals per game return is nothing better than ordinary at a ratio of 1 in 3 games played and his fitness record compares with Michael Owen's.

But more importantly, I can't see how Tottenham are going to use him. They already have Defoe and Keane and their immediate need would appear to be for a big guy up front - in the style of Crouch or Kenwyne Jones. If 'Arry shells out for Bellyache, it suggests he is planning to offload either Judas or Keane some time very soon. More unrest at the Lane beckons - and isn't Bellamy just the ideal guy to stir the hornet's nest?

  1. Bellend is more appropriate than Bellyache - Spurs won't buy him, too old especially considering his history of injuries and that his game is based on pace

  3. Spurs fan here - I couldnt agree with you more, (which is something i didnt think i would ever say having read some of the previous posts) Never rated the guy - I suppose he does a job and his pace is quite scary but as a "finisher" i think we have better people available. Frustrates me we are continuously linked with him. Just not the "sort" of player any fan would want at their club - of a similar ilke to that barton fellow

  7. Dont think anyone will be signing him as there's a FIFA rule which doesnt allow a player to play for more than 2 clubs in a 12 month period!

  9. the bell is going nowhere - we need him for battering eto'o with a golf club if he don't sign. also, agree with one of the other comments: where is wet spam's better-than-one-in-three goal machine? oops, they don't have one! silly me!

you really are bitter mate; let go of bellers. you must have been seriously traumatised when he left. otherwise a good blog.

If Bellend joined Tottscum, it would be just his sort of club as he can join the other lot of excremented gentlemen along with DeFoe and Arry, all they would need is Reo Cokernut and Paul Ince as coach and they would have they full set then, horrible club for horrible people, perfect!
