Davenport Charged - It's About Time!

So Calum has had his collar felt at long last and may end up behind bars. I know the guy has had some rotten luck with his broken neck and the double stabbing of his legs but these charges are surely long overdue. I trust the charge sheet simply reads, "Criminal Defending!"

Do you think Curbishley could be done for aiding and abetting a crime?

  1. Not funny. Also, if you knew anything about West Ham, you'd know that he's done well when he's played. The only criminal thing was how Zola dropped him.

  2. Do you know West Ham's record with Davenport in the team? Do you know how many clean sheets we have kept when he has played? Do you know how many goals we have conceded on average when he is in the team? If you did, you would not make such a misinformed comment! Done well? Matt Le Tissier described hm as the worst player ever to play for Southampton!

  3. SORRY! Get my apologies in early.
This is completely off subject but in the photo you’ve used it looks, for all the world, as if that giraffe’s eating a fish!

Quick notify the Natural History Museum or David Attenborough or whatever it is that one’s supposed to do, new species discovered. Herbivore turns carnivore, shock, horror.

(For all you literal types, yeah I do know it’s its tongue, thank you.)

  4. It is his tongue mate. That's why female giraffes have always got a smile on their faces!

  6. It seems the depths you will stoop in order to gain a laugh are limitless.

    What an insensitive jerk.

The bloke had life-threatening injuries and you use this as material to try and get a chuckle? He might not be a brilliant player, but he's still a human being.

  7. Scott, I haven't pressed charges against him have I? Now I am not saying he is guilty but suddenly there is less certainty that the guy merits our sympathy. I suppose you are one of those who want Jimmy Carr banned from TV because of his bad taste joke? Most humour has a victim. I would hate to live in your PC Right On World, it would be full of glumfish! "I see that Basil Fawty is hitting the stereotypically incompetent waiter again, I shall complain to the BBC about mindless violence and crude stereotyping. Now, what else can I find to complain about? Stereotypical portrayal of white working class market traders, humour at the expense of people with silly walks, unedifying portayals of kebab shop owners, plasterers, working class council estate dwellers, laughing at transvestites and gays and incontinent women and...dear me, all humour is a disgrace! Let's ban jokes and laughter!"
