Graham Poll's Verdict On Kovac Dismissal!

Writing in the "Daily No Blacks Mail" Graham Poll has pontificated in his usual know it all fashion on the sending off of Kovac. Personally I thought Kovac was unlucky because the plonker didn't realise Bent had stolen the ball away from him. He was still kicking the ball when his foot thudded into Bent, he was just a few seconds behind the play as he had been all game! Poll disagrees with me, however, and writes:

"Two correct yellows which led to the red card. The Czech could have no complaints. VERDICT: Correct."

But hang on a minute Graham, you say "two yellows which led to a red card"? I thought according to you, three yellows were needed for a sending off?

To be fair, if he'd been doing it all game then he would have got the second yellow for (c3) persistent infringement or it was a bit reckless. In the end of the day, referee's make mistakes, but so do the players and I don't see anybody criticising them massively. Become a ref mate, then you might realise that Poll talks sense, it WAS the right decision and if anyone needs to read the rules, it's you
