Injury to Tottenham's Carlo Cudicini bad news for West Ham fans
The injury to Cudicini spells bad news for our hopes of holding on to Robert Green. As if the failure by Duxbury to give him an improved contract was not bad enough, the last thing we needed was for Redknapp, already dubious about Gomes, to lose his understudy keeper.
Now it must be odds on that 'Arry will be bidding for one of Green, Robinson or James. The mounting injury problems being suffered by Calamity suggest that age is getting the better of him and, as brave as he is, even Redknapp may baulk at the prospect of bringing Red Faced Robbo back to the Lane. Which kind of makes his target number one as Robert Green, if only by default.
Upson is already on 'Arry's shopping list. Who would bet against a double deal come January?
One last thought, can you believe Premiership clubs allow players to ride motorbikes?
He was in breach of contract by riding a bike.
ReplyDeleteStill, at least you'll be returning to your rightful role as our Feeder Club.
Was he? I should think so! Crazy thing to do.
ReplyDeleteI think all major league teams around the World prohibit motorcycle riding (along with many other endeavors) in their contracts.
ReplyDeleteLosing Green was the first thing I thought of as well when I saw this.
When I saw this break I just knew what your take on it would be!
ReplyDeleteDisappointed you didn't pick up on the Lampard story though. Thought that deserved your acerbic treatment.
Poor Frank forced to travel economy class!!!
Welcome to our world, Frank.
Don't know the story mate. Remember, I stick up for Frank! If you are the Org's "straightforward", how about posting about the banning of ironsfan and what that says about the operation of the Klan on the Org?
ReplyDeleteI've not been banned my log in is still open
ReplyDeleteEx Org's Straight4ward if you don't mind.
ReplyDeleteThink the topic you suggest has already been covered at different times and with a 'different' cast of characters by others better qualified than me.
Hmmm "ironsfan", prove it by logging in. I hope it is true!
ReplyDelete1. the picture is in bad taste mate
ReplyDelete2. every single premiership footballer has it in their contracts not to ride motorbikes, jet ski's etc otherwise they are in breach of contract
3. regarding green and upson: redknapp has come out and said recently he is a big fan of gomes and is not looking to replace him. The fact gomes walked straight back into the team after injury even though cudicini done nothing wrong proves this point and i cant see green leaving west ham to sit on the spurs bench.
same goes for matthew upson, he's a really good defender but in his 30's, just as injury prone as woodgate and cant see him wanting to sit on the bench either when woodgate and king are both fit, plus bassong and dawson arent as good as upson but are younger and have more potential.
4. why buy players from west ham in january when in the summer we can have the pick of your whole squad once those relegation release clauses kick in
So Stevie, writing off Champions League qualification already obviously - if you thought you had a serious chance, you would be paying the extra money in January! Picture in bad taste? It is a warning about the risks of riding motor cycles. Redknapp should pin it up in the Tottenham dressing room.
ReplyDeleteyeah because judging from what ive seen this season of green and upson they are really going to be the final piece in the jigsaw to get us in the champions league! would be good squad players for next season though
ReplyDeleteWell Redknapp probably thinks differently. Woodgate and King are unlikely to get through the cold winter months uninjured - thus the need for a good, solid, experienced, international defender. But I hope you are right and 'Arry decides to stick rather than twist. But come on, it's 'Arry!
ReplyDeleteIts not funny that he got injured its funny what the explanation is, because he was in economy class. LOL.
ReplyDeleteWhy was he in economy class? And what happened?
ReplyDelete"We are all sorry to hear about what has happened to Carlo". Harry Redknapp
ReplyDeleteThat's his goalkeeper....and he could of died. Not the best with words is he? May be he's already thinking of who to buy! You could be right HF.
You have to be joking right ??????? Why on earth would rednapp even think of replacing gomes with green ?? Gomes is world class, green is a half decent prem keeper at best. Please, save your bolox and right about somthing else...
ReplyDeleteEverybody knows 'Arry is hell bent on some Pompey reunion at Spuds, it'll be James because a) he can walk into Pompey at any time and just pick players he wants like it's Tesco Metro, and b) Greenie knows we hate spurs more than having to get up to sign on.
ReplyDelete1147, they really do need to do something about the schools in Tottenham! I think you meant "write". The opticians can't be up to much either if you think Gomes is world class.
ReplyDelete1155, sadly Green won't give two shakes of his dick about West Ham. He is not a West Ham fan, he is a professional with a limited shelf life.
A feeder club, that's all you'll ever be.
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone else worth buying from your shitty club??
There's the pot calling the kettle black! Who fed Carrick and Barbietop to Man Utd? And who got the shits when qualification for the Champions League came down to the last game of the season at Upton Park? That would be Tottenham on both counts wouldn't it?
ReplyDeletewe made a profit of £20 million on berbatov and £15 million on carrick. no one at spurs has any problem with being man utd's feeder club if we make that sort of money. got to be better than being skint! anyway, hillarious the way your club has been run. lampard, joe cole, carrick, defoe, rio ferdinand, kanoute, glenn johnson all sold and your still skint with currently one of the worst squads in the premier league. think i know what position id rather be in.
ReplyDeleteby the way, upson having a good game for england so far, only problem is im sure you'd rather he was having a shocker, the better he plays the more chance harry wanting him.
LOL, you pillock 1809, by selling the likes of Carrick and Berbatov you have surrendered your chances of finshing in the top 4. As soon as you get close to achieving your dream, the top 4 cherry pick your team. Look at last season when Keene and Barbietop waved goodbye and so destroyed your season. Will you keep hold of Modric? Not if Ferguson wants him! We feed you, you feed United. There's no point in boasting as a vole because you eat a worm when you are sitting in the shadow of the kestrel! You're (spelt correctly) in the food chain mate, the big 4 are at the top of it!
ReplyDeletesurrendered our chances of finishing top 4? ok so it did set us back a season but i think you'll find looking at the league table we have a chance of finishing top 4. how does it feel to support a club that will probably never win a trophy again in your lifetime
ReplyDeleteIt feels fine thanks because we have won the World Cup for England and continue to produce the best players for England. Who have Spurs brought through the youth team in the last 25 years?
ReplyDeleteWooaahh there Lassy, hold your horses, they've brought King through their ranks! and also.....erm also......!
ReplyDeleteQuite mate, and King is a crock.
ReplyDeletewouldn't suprise me if ol' 'arry knocked him off the bike personally so he could get his own way and sign James that'll so that Levy upstart who the BOSS really is
ReplyDeleteLOL Deane. 'Arry wouldn't be seen dead in the car involved in the collision. Mind you, Prince Phillip and Prince Charles wouldn't be seen dead in a white Fiat Uno in a road tunnel in Paris would they?
