Back In The Bottom Three

No surprise really and I reckon a Bolton win was probably the best result for us tonight. I can't see Bolton going down personally: I reckon it is between Hull, Portsmouth, Wolves, Burnley and ourselves. So, a defeat for Hull is probably good news for us long term. The lower the points total for survival, the better!

  3. LOL, I don't believe it! Bloody hell, those goals must have been scored late. Funny, but seriously bad news in my opinion. Hull will be running on adrenaline again!

  4. It's probably just me but i'm actually quite excited about Sears returning, it'll nice to have a new player playing this season and who knows, he may want to fight for his stay in the premiership.

    Well done Hull!

  5. We are in as good as the relegation zone -Bolton have two games in hand, had they played them they just need a draw in one of the two games to put us down there below them. So theoretically we're as good as in the trapdoor...
Looking on the bright side, alot of teams above have a poorer goal difference than us, so if we can win draw without shipping too many over the next few weeks then fingers crossed... we'll be mid table

  6. All those games without a goal; I can't wait!

  8. Hi mate, Happy new year to you!
Well 'the Org' can't be missing me as they banned me for just stating the obvious or winding the odd person up (nothing malicious...)?
I'm surprised that you're now doing their advertising for them with a link?

  10. Let's hope, Blackburn. Burnley, Wolves, Wigan, Hull, and Portsmouth end up below us by mid feb...

    It's a shamble!!
Either/ both Duxberry and Nani need to walk the plank for this mess!

What I find really sickening is many of players that the club let go (some for nothing) are doing really well!

    Bellamy
    Zamora
    Ethrington
    Bowyer
    Konchesky
    Pantsil
    Mears
    Neill

And Zola was all smug about liking a small squad... Didn't someone in the club with a hundred year history tell him it was a nonesense way of thinking? (I remember Curbs, mentioning it when he looked at the squad)....

  11. Of course not, the powers that be were desperate to reduce the running costs and Zola is just a puppet. Duxbury has his arm up Zola's arse to his elbow, that's far enough up to operate the mouth!

  12. a good analogy..lol
but the players listed (except Bellamy and Niell) wouldn't have fetched large wages.. And they were neive to think they could lose players like Bellamy not replace him, while Sunderland, Stoke, Wigan etc invested in players... We shold have bought Darren Bent or someone of similar quality...

Duxberry has got to go..... Nani as well, I mean Jiminez I hope the club don't waste 12 million on him - he's no better than Mullins or Bowyer that we gave away for nothing..

  13. I'm surprised that we're not seeing fans demand a 'regime' change... As in the 1980's with the Bond Scheme? I mean it might not be directly related to the pocket - but who's going to want to travel to fizzy pop clubs and watch them at 1am in the morning on the football show?

  14. Most of your list were shown the door by Turds mate. The big wage earners, Neill and Bellamy, were ushered out by Zola at the behest of Duxbury. Etherington, Bowyer and Mullins were to reduce the wage bill further and in bring in cash from, albeit, relatively small transfer fees. What a sorry mess it all amounts to.

  15. And what is meant by that 2316?

  16. I think he meant 'cup'...he thinks we're gonna win a cup.

  17. it's all the more annoying, seeing spuds do well..

  18. Nine home games to go, most against the teams in the bottom half. Provided none of the top players are sold in January, then we should be able to pick up enough points from these games to avoid the drop. Another striker needed urgently. I wonder what the score would have been at White Hart Lane if Defoe was still playing for us?

Happy New Year, and bottoms up...

  19. I think the best way to save money in the new year is to sack Nani,

What fu**ing good is it having someone with contacts(so he thinks)
in the transfer market if we dont have a pot to piss in?

Please correct me if Nani fills some other purpose, but im buggered if I can think of one, unless he makes a mean cup of tea.

  20. Like the optimism pajowa!

Really not sure what use Nani is Dave, unless it is to deflect blame away from Duxbury. No hang on, he has sourced Di Michelle, Lopez, Savio and Jimenez - credit where credit is due!

  21. I'm sure Duxburry said that after the first year, all the TV money goes into the transfer kitty!!?? SO 30-40 mill in the summer?

  22. Im not sure if Zola's comments favoring a small squad were naive or he is just towing the line really.

Fact of the matter is we dont have enough senior players of sufficient quality to maintain our prem status with absolute certainty. For a club of our supposed stature and ambition this is a bloody disgrace.

The likes of Stanislas, Sears, Hines etc. are good prospects true but other teams have u21 internationals too and dont have to risk them for 30+ matches. The front office are taking advantage of fan favoritism towards academy lads to keep our team cheap.

When we see the likes of Sears starting we shouldnt be thinking "how noble are we giving young englishmen a chance" etc. rather "how cheap are we, sending a boy to do a mans work." Am I off base here?
