Just Watch 'Arry Reshape Tottenham Now!
After the Cup exit, defeat at home to Stoke and Wolves and the draws at Villa and Everton, expect 'Arry to go transfer crazy in January. The Wigan result apart, Tottenham have been distinctly average of late and you can bet your life that 'Arry is feeling the old wheel and deal urge coming upon him. Keane and Pavlova look set to exit, as does Bentley if 'Arry can find anybody to take him. Hutton's days are also probably numbered and Bale and Jenas will also be shown the door if anybody is willing to pay above £5m.
Who will 'Arry recruit? Well Upson must be high on his list and he might fancy Green too. God only knows who else he might take a shine to. 'Arry does tend to operate in weird and wonderful ways and has a great habit of buying a bulk load of wheat and chaff before starting the sorting process.
Will tottenham finish in the top four? No. Will 'Arry still be Tottenham manager by the end of October next year. No. This was never a marriage made in heaven and was never destined for a happy ending. The honeymoon period has been long and protracted but Levy felt the need to warn that purchases would have to be financed by sales in January so 'Arry has clearly been asking how much he has to spend. Once a couple start arguing about money, the writing is on the wall. 'Arry and Levy are booking an appointment at Relate even as I type.
The 'Arry Redknapp Revolving Door is about to be installed to the Tottenham dressing room and 'Arry himself will be bundled into it sometime between now and the end of October 2010. Two years in the job? That qualifies you for a a long service award at Tottenham!
See, you've been doing well today HF but you have to go and ruin it don't you?
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame.. West Ham fans are crying out for a blog that can make a point using a bit of humour and sarcasm. You keep threatening to provide that, but then you have to revert to being just a Wind-Up Merchant to other clubs. And sooner or later you will again publish a post which is, basically, just a public dig at someone you have fallen out with on a forum somewhere, or an attack on a 'rival' blog.
God knows there's enough going on at Upton Park at the moment to feed any number of posts without all this crap.
Redknapp will find a way to fill spurs with eastern europeans no-one has heard of except some agent he knows, just to finance his sandbanks property empire, but who cares?
Let the bitterness go and you might have something here... but I don't think you can, can you?
Not sure it is bitterness Munky, more of a prediction. I did predict Tottenham for a top 4 finish back in September so I am stepping back from that after recent events. 'Arry's 'andling of Keane seems odd and the Tottenham boards are speculating that the Irishman will be packing up his kit bag and moving on again. The relevance to West Ham? 'Arry still feels like one of ours to me, Tottenham are local rivals, and I expect 'Arry to be trying to recruit from ourselves. Anyway, in amongst the criticism, there were some nice compliments there, so thanks.
ReplyDeletemost of what you say is true but you need to look at some of the facts. this stage last season we were bottom 3. now we are 5th. ok so i will admit we have been poor lately but everyone has a poor run at some point during the season. don't believe everything you read that levy has said. ok so he may say that we have to sell to buy but that has never been the case. if you come out and say you have £20 million to spend and then try to sign a decent a player how much is the club going to want for that player...£20 million.
ReplyDeletewe have a good young squad, a new stadium on the way and extremely healthy finances. West Ham have none of these. you say you're not trying to wind other fans up but if thats the case why are you always looking at whats happening at spurs? Its like a fulham fan trying to wind up a Chelsea fan, you'll get a response but deep down we dont care what happens at West Ham because you are light years behind most of the teams in the premiership. Try concentrating on your own sinking ship mate.
How is it a wind up if "most of what I say is true"? Genuine opinion, that's all.
ReplyDeleteI'd give him Upson for Pavlyuchenko....and Hutton :)
ReplyDeleteBut I suppose that would really test Duxbury's promises not to deal with Tottenham.
You'd sell your grandmothers soul and possibly Keiron "Dire" to beat City as well as we did last night. I think a collective SHHHH! is in order for you sir.
