There's not many around who would have stepped forward to retake that penalty a total of three times! Love him or hate him, you have to give credit where credit is due. It would have been so easy to turn to Bollocks or Drogba and say, you take it. But not Lampard. In the eye of the storm, he calmly stepped forward and tucked it away time after time after time. The big question is, will he cope that well in an England penalty shoot out?
yeah great credit. he's on 120k a week. i wouldnt want to take 3 pens for that money! idiot
ReplyDeleteA wee bit bitter n'est pas? Shame Noble didn't show the same level of composure in the equivalent fixture last season!
ReplyDeletestill a hateful littleman who has never had a good word for West Ham or the fans so doesn't deserve a good word about him and unfortunately I don't get to whinge about him to the press or to lie about the way I've been treated by him either
ReplyDeleteGreen should have done more having had three goes at psyching out Lampard. The pressure was on the taker by the 3rd attempt by which time Green looked as if he had given up.
ReplyDeleteShut up you mug, we dont care what you think!
ReplyDeleteThis is why I don't like Lampard:

Pearce asks him if he still has a soft spot for us at 48 seconds and just listen to his answer. He struggles to stop himself smiling too. Grow up Frank, I know we have some fans that go too far but this club has done a lot for you so appreciate it.
Big headed
ReplyDeleteBig Gob
Thinks he knows football
Sorry to start with a list...
but see where I'm going with this?
You show a picture of Humble Pie and then pitch in with this…
"Faubert was just as guilty mate, and Gabbidon's handball was beyond dispute. Then there was the Green bodycheck - outside the box, that would have been a free kick and a booking without question"
And this…
“...why did Upson dive in? Sturridge wasn't going to score from there so Upson should surely have stood on his feet. Tackle in the box and you give the officials an opportunity to give the penalty, stay on your feet and the onus is on the opponent to create a better opening than a free shot on goal from 12 yards. We had already won a penalty so the ref was looking to even things up, never mind that he had turned down two legitimate Chelsea penalty claims already! A bad decision by the assistant referee, but an even worse one by Upson!”
And this…
“A wee bit bitter n'est pas? Shame Noble didn't show the same level of composure in the equivalent fixture last season!”
And this…
“Lampard has got balls”
And this…
“Upson went to ground unnecessarily and penalties resulted - doesn't bode well for England's chances in South Africa!”
West Ham CAN DO WITHOUT SUPPORTERS LIKE YOU M8. You should hang your head in shame, so too those that have their tongues in your brown place YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!
I would suggest the in-breds or the plastics for you it suits your style
If only you showed the same support for our current players eh?
ReplyDeleteIf only our present players were as good as Lampard eh, FBP. Don't think we would be in the bottom three then!
ReplyDeleteThe bitterness displayed by some to this thread is sad. I have been a football fan for over 40 years and I am struggling to remember seeing a player ordered to take the same penalty three times. The composure of Lampard, in front of a hostile crowd, was impressive. Grow up, put your bitterness to one side and think of England!
LOL 0804, how many words did you have to edit out to come up with that? You certainly chose to edit out the same criticism of Ashley Cole for your last article.
ReplyDeleteDo you not think it a shame that Noble missed his penalty against Chelsea last season? Are you a Plastic?
I stand by what I have said about the penalties. We should have had two and so should Chelsea. Or, if you count Faubert's, Chelsea could have had 3! And that doesn't count the one they were given! (Green, Gabbidon, Faubert).
Lampard has got balls. After tucking away three penalties, some might argued he deserved the match ball. ; ]
Aaww poor little Frank so hard done by, aren't those West Ham fans awful, imagine castigating the poor boy when he played far below his potential and cheering when he broke his leg, imagine applauding when he was carried off and that petition we all got up to Terry Brown to get his honest Uncle the sack (and he loved West Ham too all that loyalty his Uncle has shown to all those supporters of clubs he's managed) awful, awful people we are, poor hard done by Frank no wonder he boasts how he sat in front of his telly and cheered when that evil club that tried to stifle his true genius was relegated
ReplyDeleteI on behalf of all West Ham fans apologise for treating you so badly after you so graciously bestowed your talent upon us please accept our apology and continue to stare lovingly at your own image whilst masturbating
Harewood would of tucked triple that away....
ReplyDeleteHe still tucked the penalties away well Deane. Why can't we just move on guys? I know Deane isn't an England fan but surely the rest of us would prefer Lampard to score in a penalty shoot out against Germany than miss?
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, West Ham treated Frank Sr like a tw@t so I can totally appreciate why Jr doesn't particularly like them.
ReplyDeleteSpot on mate. Treat my Dad and Uncle like that and I wouldn't have anything nice to say about you. Blood is thicker than your average BNP member!
