If it is true, that can't be bad can it? Bloody Turds and Egg would have bid £6m for each before even asking what the offloading clubs wanted for them! I know that McCarthy is no spring chicken and that Eidur has fallen on lean times, but they have to be better options than Sears, Jimenez and Nouble don't they? The idea of McCarthy and Cole up top together in home games and of Gudjohnsen playing in the hole in away games makes perfect sense to me. If we can land a utility defender before the window closes, we will have a squad equipped to survive and to kick on next season. Exciting times!
Great business by the chairmen!
ReplyDeleteStealing a relegation rivals best striker and then nabbing their prime replacement...
class!
ur mum
ReplyDeleteloool
ReplyDeleteAre you feeling OK HF? Lol! I can barely remember reading such positivity on this blog?
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree though, in terms of strikers for that kind of money, they're pretty much about as good as we could expect given our league position.
Both the wrong side of 30 but both have experience of the PL and proven success too. Hopefully the Hartson/Kitson signings of 2010!
All we need now is 3 points tonight...
Glad to see t let we are signing 1 white striker or we could have had a new zeland strike force (the all blacks) with Cole Mcarthy and Nouble and also Benjani. Franco doesnt count. Great buisness by the board well done the davids
ReplyDeleteParallel Universe is it, no long faces and pessimism I like if HF puffin stuff
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say the davids have saved the club from turning into a Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Crystal Palace, Charlton. Thank you boys we are in your debt for a long time to come. And to think many wanted Intermarket whoever the fuck they are.Gold and Sullivans claret and blue army
ReplyDeleteSHUT IT U RACIST MUG
ReplyDeleteIts Called humor not racist you prat. Anyway 2 great signings go get some results Zola now.
ReplyDeleteHammers fan you are a chopper. I thought the overspending was nothing to do with Iclandics about two weeks ago. Now you say that eggy and turds would have spent 6 mill on each. You are a bouncing hypocrite
ReplyDeleteoh no 18:56 you've fallen for the American spell check
ReplyDeleteWhen did I say Eggert wasn't responsible for the big spending?
ReplyDeleteWasn't it the Pompey game last season that you last your nerve?
ReplyDeleteWhat's your take on the game at half-time? I think we did a good job, but we can do better..I like how Collison and Nouble were both doing alot in the game..I think our subs are much better than those of Pompey..I think having Cole, Stanislas, and even Sears on the bench will be good for us, should we need a goal or two..I think we'll eventually score..Begovic has been wonderful, but good goalkeeping alone cannot stop goals..the Pompey defense looks pretty weak from what I've seen in the highlights..
ReplyDeleteLost your nerve of course.
ReplyDeleteKareem why don't you go and play on MSN and stop pretending you know what you are talking about.

ReplyDelete2047, as I remember it, I was promised two tickets which did not materialise. But yes, a brainless thug did make physical threats. Had the tickets been available as promised, I would have been at the game.
ReplyDeleteHammersfan, it looks like Gudjohnsen is talking to the man with the nervous twitch now. To be honest, i'm not sure about Gudjohnsen. Not real quick & has done very little the last couple of years. He won't come cheap either. Experienced but i don't know. Cole could play behind, he would suit that role if we could get two strikers. McCarthy would be my pick first as his strike rate is the highest. Benjani would be next. Both would be great & you may get them both for a similar wage as Gudjohnsen would want. I know Zola would like him & i could of course be wrong, but that's what i reckon.
