Appeal For Investment

Hi guys,

David Sullivan here. Now I've got an unusual proposal which, at first, may seem like madness but hang on in there, and you may be surprised by your reaction.

Now as you probably know, I have recently taken a 25% stake in the club I love, the club that I and David Gold have supported since we were kids. It is true that the club were in a terrible mess when we stepped in, but we have a way forward, a way that will see West Ham join the elite in European football.

The Olympic Stadium is at the heart of our plans, a new super stadium with a capacity of 60,000. With Arsenal already hamstrung by debt and Tottenham about to make the same mistake, we propose renting a stadium and investing in the team rather than the infrastructure. We genuinely believe that this strategy will enable us to leap frog our North London rivals over the next 5 years.

In Zola and Clarke we have a management team with the ability to develop young talent. Our plan is simple. To recruit the best young talent from around the world and to build a team capable of challenging for a place in the Champions League. The days of investing in knackered cart horses like Ljungberg and Dyer are over; our transfer policy will be two pronged, sourcing brilliant young talent and signing "value" by landing quality players as their contracts expire.

There may be a few bumps along the way but we are confident that glory is just around the corner. Why not join us? I guarantee the ride will be exciting and I have a hunch that we will make a few bob along the way into the bargain.

How about it?

David Sullivan

  2. You mug!

Another example of the mindless, unquestioning optimism we get from this sad little site on a daily basis.

It's naive idiots like you that allow the club owners to milk us dry whilst feeding us stories about European football.

Why don't you just admit you're a spurs fan and leave us to keep our cynical eye on the fanny magnates and their ongoing circus!

  3. Can't do that Munky, I only follow winners and we all know that we have been going through a little blip but, come the end of the season, we will be above Spurs in the table. Zola's brilliant and 'Arry is a mug. Tottenham don't have anybody to compare to Mido!
