Ashton's Salary

With the news breaking that we are liable for Ashton's salary for the full length of the contract, the question must be, can we sue somebody?

  1. There were a lot of strange and conflicting comments being made about Ashton, and Zola sounded as though he had not a clue about his condition or when he was coming back. How could this be? the manager of the team did not have a clue about his star strikers condition or availability! Can you believe it? the more you think about it the more it seems as if the retirement process was put under wraps until the club was sold. If this is the case and I am sure it is,perhaps that is the reason Duxbury walked.

  3. I dont think the Sullivans can cover the staggering mismanagement the club has endured in the last 4 years. It may sound odd but perhaps they should already be selling their stake to a sugardaddy like Fernandes.

We just need capitol to blanket over all these ridiculous cracks. Its some bitter medicine to take but what else can we do?

  4. Maybe you are right Hammalot. Take the bitter pill and push on with the slow build up to security. I just think there are too many people taking the piss thats what annoys me. To do anything about it involves lawyers and all they do is argue amongst themselves until there is no more money left in the pot and then recommend you to settle.Probably swallow hard and work hard is the answer.

  5. On a different subject (by the way i like this site) I have a bad feeling that the two D's maybe jostling for Zola to go so they can put their pal Curbishley back in charge and save a few quid in the process! Just a feeling I have and hope i am wrong.

  6. Not on topic but..

In confirmation with Anon, as Ive said multiple times my biggest fear is that Gollivan are sporting xenophobes who think British is best with regards to football matters. Im all for the academy and admit there are plenty of dodgy foreign mercs but to dismiss our progress in becoming a quasi-italian side would be a step backwards.

Obviously on the pitch stability trumps all this but foreign skills can give us an edge over teams of British hoof it merchants.

  7. To be fair, so far they have signed a South African, an Egyptian and a Brazilian. Keep this up and we may see the return of 'Arry as manager!
