Ever thought the gods were against you? Bolton score two goals in as many minutes, Wigan score three in ten. Tevez awaits. It is written in the stars, just like I warned. Hull will beat Sunderland. Hull will beat Wigan. IF we don't beat Wigan, we are down.
Still, in Zola we trust!
I have never used that phrase HF, so it's sad that you have suggested I have.
ReplyDeleteBest we beat Wigan then.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought our season would of been done and dusted before the Man C game. I now feel it is going to come right down to the very last kick.
ReplyDeleteI expect Hull to turn Villa over and score two late goals to win their game in hand.
Hull are not going to beat Sunderland with the likes of Boateng and Hunt out for the year.
ReplyDeleteStill though we have to...you know...play like a side that deserves to stay in the top division.
True Stani, but you have been the most vociferous expont of the Wigan escape route. 4 points from 2 home games knocks that one on the head. The worry is that Hull now have two home games. If they take 4 points from those, we could be in deep trouble, I would back Hull to get at least a point at Hull, maybe 3. A win over Wigan, which is a BIG IF, may not be enough. You have not said, "In Zola we trust", but you will accept that you have been one of his principle apologists. A deep cravass opened beneath us this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe last few minutes in the games of Bolton and Wigan mean we have to respond by winning at Liverpool. This is the only way we can cancel out the adverse effects those two unbelievable results will have on our survival bid. Can we do that? We need a miracle. But miracles do happen these days as those two results clearly prove. Why not for us? We need to believe we can beat Liverpool and play the right team. If Zola can get it right then I will say anything bad about him again; at least for this year.
ReplyDeleteIf we win at Liverpool, I will amaze the world by walking on water from Dover to Calais! If we draw, I will be delirious!
ReplyDeleteNot above personal attacks against fellow fans eh? You reeeally have sunk low..
ReplyDeleteHF,
ReplyDeleteMy highlighting of the Wigan escape route as you have referred to it, has nothing to do with the phrase 'in Zola we trust'. You have now linked the two. You have also associated this phrase in the past to what you referred to as the 3 monkeys brigade. By then suggesting I have used it, you are thus linking me to that which is totally unfair. My support of Zola is not blind because it has been tempered with criticism of him.
In regards to Wigan; with a game in hand over them and the fact that we only have to equal their points tally to finish above them, it's not a foregone conclusion that we will not finish above them. We still have to play them too.
I have not termed you one of the Three Monkey Brigade Stani. You have used arguments to defend Zola, they just say we must support Zola because he is our manager. You will not deny that you have been defending him presumably? And you will certainly not deny that that you have been saying that Wigan will finish below us because we will beat them, and they will not win another game; unfortunately they have. Now a victory over Wigan may not be enough. That would still leave us needing at least another point. We now NEED them to beat Hull. If they don't, we may be in very deep trouble. I keep saying that our home record against Wigan is poor. If we draw that game, Hull win at Wigan and beat Sunderland (and I would start them as evens for both games), then we will still need 2 more points to stay up. Fulham away? Liverpool away? Man City at home? Worrying!
ReplyDeleteHe's making a monkey out of you Stani
ReplyDeleteLOL Want a wooden spoon to stir it with or is your cock long enough?
ReplyDeleteI have placed bets with the esteemed william hill West Ham to win 2-1 at anfield and 7-2 at the cottage my winnings will allow me to hire a helicopter so as to follow your progress over the channel
ReplyDeletesorry got to go these gentlemen in white coats wish to fasten the buckles on my jacket
Amongst other things, you are such a drama queen HF.
ReplyDeleteEver considered that Wigan winning is a GOOD result for us?
With Wigan more or less safe now, they will be under less pressure on Saturday thus (hopefully) making it a slightly easier game for us to win.
Also, we are NOT down if we fail to beat Wigan. We have a game before that and we have 2 games after it.
We are only down if Hull and Burnley start winning.
Still, at least if Tevez scores the goal that sends us down you can celebrate on here to us all about getting that prediction right can't you?
If Tevez sends us down, I will be utterly and completely dejected of course.
