Zola's Replacement

It is football's worst kept secret that Zola is on his way this summer so who is going to replace him exactly? Well with Mr Gold in charge, I now expect to see somebody appointed who has worked with Clarke, has taken a team to the Champions League Final and an FA Cup Final, has experience of battling against relegation and of managing a team on a shoe string budget.

Now, who fits that bill and will be looking for a new Premiership club in the summer I wonder?

  1. I made that suggestion elsewhere recently. I'd have no problem with it.
Touch of the Curbs about his demeanour though. Not one to win the fans round when they get restless. And they do get restless.

  3. Works well under severe financial restrictions.

  4. But Tottenham might fancy him now!

  5. I really hope it is him. I rate him so highly. Will Clarke be staying though?

  6. Clarke could be made "First Team Coach" and he could come in as General Manager. In fact, he could come in over Zola and Clarke. That has made a bigger man than Zola walk!

  7. O God please no! I rather have Dave Agass.

But he was hardly responsible for most of that you listed HF (the good or the bad)

  9. Hahaha! Careful, you'll get accused of being an anti 's' word.

  10. I will not. I want him! Unless you mean antiSpurs!

  11. You want Curbs?

You honestly want Alan Curbishley back as manager?

    I shouldn't be surprised.

  12. Derrrrr no! Since when has Turds taken a team to the Champions League final? Or even an FA Cup Final for that matter? Read the article and engage your brain!

  13. "I want him!" I bet he's never had that said about him before. And was the exclamation mark really necessary HF?

I wonder how long we can go on talking about him without mentioning his name?

Do G&S own a brothel because I could see where they're potentially going with this one.

  14. LOL Allegedly Stani, allegedly! I don't think he would cost us much either, a "snip" of a manager!

  15. Granted, I don't know him well enough to know about the 'snip', but I take your word for it though HF ;)

  18. You forgot the Hamerettes! They weren't there for the Sunderland game and we won! Coincidence?

  19. I was against the Hammerettes coming back. We need to stay professional they are just a distraction for fans and especially players. Seriously, we don't need it.

  20. The hammerettes were also missing when we played Wolves. Bang goes that theory.
