Well Done Leeds!

I blogged earlier in the season that Leeds were on their way back and today they secured promotion in the most dramatic of ways, coming from a goal behind when down to 10 men. True they were only playing Bristol Rovers but we all remember the greatest Leeds team ever losing to Colchester, so the "quality" of the opposition should not take away from their achievement and performance.

I loath Leeds but they belong in the Prem and that's where I reckon they will be in 3 seasons' time. Good to see Beckford answering his critics too. As Clough discovered, when the Yorkshire flatcaps take against you, life aint easy at Elland Road.

Now, let's hope Charlton can join them at Millwall's expense!

  4. You loath them as well T.I.S?

Let's face it, everybody in the country loaths Bastard United, so I am not unique there. I saw the great Revie team come back from two goals down at Upton Park to draw 2-2. I loathed them before that, but that made it even worse!

But for all the ill will I have felt for them, I didn't want them down in the old Division 3 and I'm pleased in a strange, masochistic way, to see them on the way back.

  5. Quick question from Canada...Why is there 2 left wing parties (Libs and Lab) and only one right wing party (Con) It seems unfair that the left wing vote would always be split. More british are left wing according to the seat and vote share from the election. Well over 50% is left and only 36% is right. Its cameron who doesnt have a clear mandate. Is this true

  6. strange that you should loath leeds united cause i think that you will find that everyone in the country despises your disgraceful fans. an absolute disgrace to football.

  7. And yours are any better? I have twice been caught up in street fights with Leeds "fans" and on both occasions, I hadn't even been to the game. Once outside the old Dell following a game between Southampton and Leeds, and once in Thornton Heath following a game between Palace and Leeds.

  8. Quote: I have twice been caught up in street fights with Leeds "fans"

I notice there hasn't been a third time. After the second you must have worked out that winding you're neck in and not behaving like a c**t gets you home in a taxi instead of an ambulance.

Remember the 25th of August 2009. It takes two to tango. For 5 hours!!!

  9. You could not be further from the truth Peace Frog, on the first occasion I was on a bike and was punched as I cycled past. It knocked me to the ground and yes, I did retaliate; who wouldn't? On the second occasion, I was in my car, stopped at a red light on a Pelican crossing and this C*** in Leeds colours kicked my car door. And yes, I got out and dealt with it as all hell broke loose with a street fight between rival fans. Back in the 80s. I'm too old now!

  10. For your additional information, I condemned the violence at the Millwall game and called for the club to resign from the League Cup.

  13. I shall be writing down you Leeds prediction..... in fact I have a whole book of predictions now... you predict a lot don't you? so as they say you throw enough s*** and some of it's bound to stick!

  14. Do you need to write them down? They're all on record here. But anyway, I will reiterate it, Leeds will be back in the Prem in 3 years time - by that I mean a maximum of 3 years to win promotion from the Championship.
