Grant BUT SUBJECT TO A WORK PERMIT - AS I WARNED!

Sky have just announced that Grant will be our new manager, subject to a work permit, just as I warned earlier today BEFORE the press picked up on it! Now, this may be resolved but the Gaza convoy attack could have thrown a huge spanner in the works as I said earlier. Normally, the Home Office would be happy to rubber stamp a work permit for an Israeli but not at the moment. Israel is acting as a rogue state and Israeli nationals may not be welcome for the forseeable future.

  1. Alright alright HF, you're not the only one.

Did I not say the world cup ball is shite? Now all the players are coming out with it. You read it here first!

  4. I've no idea where he has gone. Actually, I thought the joke had run it's course. I may resurrect him if the mood takes me.

  8. The OS is stating, as of 2nd June, that a 'new manager' WILL be announced during the next 24 hours.
The BBC Sport website is stating that a work permit for AG is but a 'formality'.

Personally, I can't see a problem, despite recent events off Gaza. This will be AG's FOURTH work permit application I believe, and unless Interpol, or 'EuroPlod' as Gene Hunt superbly terms them, have him down as Mossad, then his CRB checks, Vanquis Visa application and 6-monthly subscription renewal to Fu Fu's should all be smoothly fast-tracked!?

Of course, Fu Fu's is totally with his wife, Tzofit's full approval...after all, she has allegedly appeared live on Israeli TV bathing in chocolate and spaghetti, not to mention imbibing her own bladder bitter!

  9. Like I said in your other work permit post last night:

It has come to my attention that the work permit is going to be an issue.

Also Alvin Martin will run the team with Curbs whilst the permit issues are resolved.

If need be the plan could be for Grant to be the Director of football as a work around.

    This morning:

Seems that Alvin Martin is at Upton Park this morning and also a brown car is in the car park belonging to a previous WH manager

  10. Ah yes, the one who said Curbs was waiting in the wings. You have a selective memory

  11. He is waiting in the wings...and waiting...and waiting...and waiting...and waiting....and waiting...

As I said, he blew it when he agreed to take the Hull job!
