Sullivan Talks A Good Buy (No, Not A Goodbye!)
Well, if we believe David - and who wouldn't? - the signing of Der Hammer Hitzlsburgermeister is something of a coup. Explaining the German's failure to impress at Lazio, Sullivan said, "He was injured when he went to Lazio, but he has now recovered, and we have done our homework on this score. He made four appearances at the end of the season that helped keep Lazio up, he's a fighter as well, the kind of player this club needs."
He continued: "Lazio offered him a four-year contact to stay, he had offers from four other Premier league clubs, and a top Spanish club. We are so pleased we managed to persuade him to come to West Ham, we feel it is a great coup considering how many top sides wanted him."
"He will have a huge and immediate impact and he is an international player of the highest quality. He is a midfielder who scores a goal every five or six games, which will be a real asset to the team."
Well I'm impressed! Let's hope he lives up to the top billing when the new season kicks off!
i think he could be a real bargain lets hope he does the business at west ham
ReplyDelete"Thomas is a top-quality player who I know the fans will love - and not just because of his nickname."
ReplyDeleteIs he taking us for mugs? Looks how he's trying to play on our emotions jut because Hitzlsperger's nicknamed 'Hammer'.
If those quotes you gave are real HF then it's a goal every 8-9 games David. Some "homework".
Oh Stani, stop being so negative. Zola's gone, let him go. I know part of you will die if the Sullivan, Gold and Grant combo works but remember, you are a Hammer before everything else, except for being a Muslim of course. Be positive! You were expecting Ben Haim. Surely this must be good news in that context?
ReplyDeleteSol Campbell next
ReplyDeleteStan, i am of the same ilk mate ... its all hot air and bluff to get bum on seats ... the same old brum number but with a different colour ... an average signing but a steady one to start the merry go round off ... he is a left footed player too.
ReplyDeleteI am more concerned that he has come in for free and we are looking to offload Cole and Noble to Stoke and Hitzleburger and Yakubooo are the cheap replacements ..
HF,
ReplyDeleteWhy will a part of me die? I'm a Hammer and if my club does well then that's all good. Grant cannot really fail can he? BUT, I will never sit easy with Sullivan at the helm. You know the morals and principles I live by, so how can I support a guy that is deliberately fooling us? I will stand for the sanctity of our club HF.
And I'm still expecting Ben Haim :)...sorry :(
Tom,
Absolutely. I would like more Brum fans to come here and tell us exactly how G&S are. Maybe HF can do one of his magic headlines that attracts fans of other clubs :) and the Brum fans can come and tell. I thought HF would be one of the first to spot what Sullivan is doing but I'm not sure how Sullivan's managed to sweeten him up. Maybe he offered him a exclusive interview like Dux did with Dale....and Kumb...and anyone else who was willing to listen.
A free interview? Mate, I've got free porn, free use of massage parlours, two afternoons a month with Karren Brady and any porn model of my choice, fur lined underpants...
ReplyDelete...I didn't know they did your size.
ReplyDeleteBrady's getting on a bit now HF...don't you think?
so is HF lol
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I am. Still looks quite fit to my olde eyes.
