Parker On Holiday With Redknapp!

KUMB are scraping the bottom of the barrel I see. They have revealed that Parker took a holiday with Jamie Redknapp and Frank Lampard this summer and floated the idea that this is evidence that Scotty was tapped up! You see, the Redknapps have been plotting to unsettle Mr West Ham all along! Bloody nerve, footballers taking a holiday together, it shouldn't be allowed.

KUMB might also be interested to know that Parker spent some time in the summer in the company of Defoe, Huddlestone, Lennon, King and Dawson - clear proof obviously that he was tapped up by Tottenham! Mind you, Carragher, Johnson and Gerrard were there too, so maybe he will join Liverpool instead. Or maybe the presence of Milner, Warnock and Emile may have tempted him down the Villa route!

Of course, the killer was probably when one of this unscrupulous bunch said, "Look around you Scott. See all this? It is all part of a greater land mass known as Europe. Of course, if you weren't at West Ham you would have the opportunity to play in Europe!"

I bet that fair turned the lad's head!

  7. What's wrong guy? I didn't float the story, KUMB did. Care to discuss the topic rather than just post insults? No?

  8. Care to post something worth debating? No? Thought not.

  9. Yes. Will Parker still be a West Ham player by the time the window closes?

  10. Blimey, shame you have to sit through all of that before you get to something worth saying.

Yes, I do think that he will be at upton park next season. Hopefully he will realise that its better to be somewhere that will have a team built around him rather than somewhere that has a plethora of midfielders and will probably only get ten games a season.

  11. I disagree. I think he has something to prove and wants the opportunity to play in Europe. I also think that S&G will gladly accept any bid over £12m.

  12. Realistically, Spurs foray into the champions league will not last long. Their main hope has to be that they go out early enough to drop into the uefa cup. Which I'm sure the chairmen will have assured him is a target in the next couple of seasons anyway.

As for any bid over 12 million, I can't see it being that low, not after sullivan categorically stating that he won't be going.

  13. If Parker is determined to go, we will have to take what is on offer. Even if Tottenham go out at the group stage, there's still a window for Parker to prove himself to Capello and to answer his own nagging doubts after his Chelsea failure.

  14. Thats 'if' Parker is determined to go. If he wants to go thats his perogative but as of yet he hasn't said anything that we know of. the last I remember him saying was that he was looking forward to being at west ham next season and working with Avram Grant. Its purley conjecture that he wants to leave.

I don't think he has a prayer of playing for England ( I hope I'm wrong) but Capello will be looking at blooding the youngsters, not someone who will be too old at the next world cup.

  15. Too old? Sullivan has just offered him £75k a week for the next five years! The World Cup is less than 4 years away now! Are you saying we will be paying 75k a week to a has been?

  16. Too old for the biggest football stage in the world? yes. Too old for West Ham? No, its a different level.

That figure is guesswork by journalists and besides which, its not unheard of for us to pay over the odds for a has been?

  18. It certainly isn't! Look what we are paying Upson! But back to Parker, he is a life long Tottenham fan. Wouldn't you want to play for the club you support?

  19. Is he? I've never seen an interview with him that says that. Again only hearsay.

  20. Be honest HF, if the rumour about the Parker family meeting up with the Redknapp family on holiday is true - don't you think that would provide an ideal opportunity for tapping up?

Or put another way, if your wife went on holiday and met up with a 'friend' of yours... and this friend approached you on his return and made you an offer for your wife.... wouldn't you be a little suspicious about what had gone on whilst they were away?

PS: I wouldn't blame your wife btw. :-)

  21. Be honest, if Redknapp wanted to tap up Parker, do you think they would need to go on holiday together for it to happen? Have you never heard of a mobile phone? Derrrrr!

  22. How much is this friend offering for my wife by the way? And would he expect the Anadin as part of the deal?
