Chinese Synergies At Liverpool

Rumour has it that Liverpool will be a Chinese take away by the end of this week. So, from the home of Capitalism to the community of Communism in one fell swoop! I have no idea who the inscrutable gentleman is who fancies clearing the debt of the two Yanks but Scousers will argue that it can't get any worse. We will see. If it doesn't work out, they can hang effigies of Huang.

In the meantime, of course, there are some useful synergies involved. Liverpool fans will now be known as the Red Army, and ordering in the local Chinese will now take the form of "I'll have a Stevie G, a Torres, a Jamie and three portions of Pepe." The initials of Mr Huang's company is interesting - QSL. Queer Street Liverpool perhaps?

  1. How lucky are some clubs?

They get a proven manager and a loaded chairman in one swoop, we get a relatively unproven manager and two dodgy chairmen.

    We're just generally unlucky.

  2. I am not sure having the Chinese as owners is lucky Stani. They are not going to be spending mad a-la Man-City. No way. In China they do things differently you know. The Govt. is behind everyone who has money and whatever one does, reflects (good or bad) on the Govt. Therefore, it would be hard to justify spending crazy money on players. This will be in the public eye all the time. And the public in China means at least 1.4 billion people, the last I checked. It will probably be close to 1.5 by the end of this Premier League season.

  3. Exactly Sav! That is what I mean, this is good. I would hate owners like those at City. I'd feel so fake as a fan.
