Just sell Parker and get on with the season!

I am sick to death of the club dancing around the Parker handbag. We all know Sullivan is going to let Levy have what he wants, so why don't we just get on with it? The same probably goes for Cole and Liverpool! Being coy is no good when everybody in the night club knows, from past experience, that you come across for a Bacardi and coke and the promise of a ticket to Thorpe Park!

It's not as if Parker is a world beater anyway. I keep saying he is part of the problem because of his limited vision and poor goal scoring return. He obviously doesn't want to stay - otherwise that contract would be signed - so retaining him is just dragging out the inevitable and slowing down the process of restructuring. The decision of Grant to start with a team made up entirely of Zola men yesterday says it all. They weren't good enough last season and they won't be good enough this. If we can't buy without selling, then we had better sell, and fast!

Gera was only used as a sub again yesterday and he would be my man to replace Parker. I mooted the Keane exchange some time back and I still think that would be a good option. We must be anticipating another domestic loan signing or we would have had Caceida by now. Who is the earmarked man? Hutton? Keane himself? O'Hara?

In Grant's shoes, I would clear out Behrami, Parker and Cole. It pains me to say this about Carlton but he isn't worth keeping if Liverpool offer £12m or above. Who do we buy or sign on loan? To be honest, anything will be better than what we have. These players are stuck in a pit of despair and the more we move out, the better.

  1. I agree.

As long as we are talking 8 million plus we should cash in on Parker, Cole and Upson.

As for Behrami looks like he will go without much of fee, but he should free up some wages.

The team needs a massive revamp and/or Xanax.

  2. We're a club with a cancer which I had thought was in remission but is obviously not in fact it has actually resurfaced and is in plain sight once again
How much money you hoping to make this time Terence?

  3. I also agree - we have made too many poor purchases before & after Zola went. We need to re-boot and if that means struggling this season then so be it - we all know that you need spirit as much as you need talent. Our club typifies the PL - too expensive to watch, too expensive to fund, full of mercenary foreigners that have ensured we've taken our eye off player development.
We might not make it of course, but to be honest, the PL has actually becoming boring. Am very disillusioned and while I’ll always be a Hammer, my love for this sort of football is waning and I’m worried our club is heading towards the faceless obscurity of so many others.
Our history isn’t rich with success, but it is rich with tradition – we are on the brink of losing ourselves.
David & David – stop chasing a dream via fixes – don’t just fix....look to solve it with a basis of home grown British & foreign players ... not the money-grabbing-bar-stewards we seem to have assembled.
    COYI’s!

  4. I totally agree.

Change is needed and shipping out these players appears the only way we can achieve that. Parker can be replaced with some ease. His heart doesn't appear to be in it like it was last year. Cole simply doesn't score enough. It's a shame nobody is being linked with Upson because in my opinion as a captain he is a disgrace and as a defender he's proven he doesn't have the ability.

Hopefully by Tuesday afternoon it will all be sorted. Best case scenario is we get keane in to replace cole and someone with some kind of flair for Parker. Oh and of course a player that is a natural right back. Anyone will do.
