Time for Sullivan and Gold to explain. Something stinks!

Dear God, even WHTID has expressed amazement at the decision to allow Daprela to join Brescia on a free. When Pravda publishes an article critical of the Party, you know something stinks in Moscow.

This Daprela deal, on top of the one that took Diamanti to Brescia for next to nothing, simply has to be explained to the fans. Sullivan has said that West Ham are no longer a selling club and, I suppose, he is proving true to his word: we are now a Give Away Club!

Sullivan was quick to use his email when he wanted to engineer Zola's departure and also laid bare his soul over Tottenham's approach for Parker. He is big on straight talking directly to the fans, so let's hear his explanation of why he sanctioned two deals that will stagger 99% of West Ham fans.

If no sensible explanation is forthcoming then we will draw our own conclusions. The involvement of Nani invites all sorts of speculation. I want to know what the Italian knows and how many dodgy deals we have to rubber stamp before our "debts" are settled.

  1. here's an interesting spin for you HF, I have borrowed it of another site seing and the gunners have piched Sav's piece for one of their own blogs ...

An interesting fact about the game at old trafford - the team consisted of five players who first played under Alan Pardew (remember him) - Cole, Noble, Green, Gabbidon and Spector; and six who were signed whilst Alan Curbishley was in charge - Illunga (not Curbs choice but on the books before Zola arrived), Upson, Dyer, Parker, Boa Morte and Faubert. So not a single one of Avram six signings for a variety of reasons, and not a single Zola signing. The pertinent thing here is surely the total rejection of all the incoming Nani signings under Zola - Daprella and Diamanti gone and every effort being made to move on Kovac and Behrami. Maybe the method of payment for the Nani signings is making this an imperative rather than footballing reasons but it does seem strange

They have wasted more money than they have spent since they arrived ... a£4.2m loss on Diamante, £1m on letting daprella go on a freebie ... £4m on Reid to play at RB when he is no better than Tomkins ot CH ? add to that the payments to GFZ and SC who must be chuckling away to themselves constantly ...

  2. Interesting thought about the structuring of the deals when we signed the Nani men. But if that is the case, Basher and Goldfinger would surely tell the world if it was above board. That would show Duxbury and Nani in a bad light which would surely suit the new owners. Was there something dodgy about the original deals in terms of bending rules perhaps? Something seems very very very wrong here.

  3. If you are West Ham it never gets boring...but sometimes it would be nice to recover.

What should I say - totally agree HF.

  4. Probably best to wait until 6pm tomorrow before we assess the damages.

Very suprising that Daprela has gone but he may have been sacrificed to get the wheels in motion. Perhaps the Brescia centre forward is part of the deal, which in turn will let Cole be sold to Liverpool (odds on with skybet tonight). Tiene may be lined up as a more experienced replacement left back. The Parker/Keane swap deal could still be on the cards, but then we would need to hold on to Behrami. Oh, and we still need a proper right back.

It's going to be an interesting day and no doubt HF will let us know if we are going to be up to our necks in the brown stuff.

  5. Cant believe they got rid of Daprela. From all our youngsters, he showed the most potential. He will become a top left back.

What the hell is going on? First Diamanti and now Fabio?

I hope there is nothing dodgy with the deals Nani had made. It may go some way in explaining why both managers have tended not to select Diamanti and Daprela so as to avoid any issues.

In answer to your point HF; The reason G&S may not want to disclose any potential dodgy Nani deals is because we may be still liable for punishment.

  6. I have been thinking the same thing Stani. If there was something shifty about the Diamante and Daprella then perhaps we could incur simular fallout from the Tevez deal if they play. If they dont play, the FA cant accuse us of gaining advantage from inelligible players.

Unfortunately its clear that we will never find out what is going on for sure. So much for our new 'transparent' club!

5 hours left of the window. At this point it feels more like damage limitation
