So what happens with Behrami now? He has made it clear that he wants to pack up his troubles in his Nike kit bag and clear off back to Italy, but the club rejected a last minute approach for the Swiss Roll around in feigned agony appealing for a free kick.
Does he have a place in Grant’s team? Well not wide on the right presumably, as we have Barerra and Faubert to cover that position. In centre midfield? Noble, Parker and Der Hammer already look short on goals as a midfield three and Behrami will not improve us in that key department. Maybe he could anchor and allow Parker to move further forward but I don’t think it’s in Parker’s nature to get in the opposition box all that often, even if protected by a genuine defensive midfielder.
How about at right back then? That would be the logical answer but I think he is just as suspect defensively as Faubert and Spector. He gives away far too many free kicks in midfield – so I fear he would be a penalty waiting to happen if used regularly on the right of defence.
So, it looks like there is no natural berth in the team for Mr Huff & Puff. He has moved from hero to near zero in 12 eminently unimpressive months.
Is he fit? No one seems to know. Will we see him play before January? I’m not so sure we will – except for Switzerland of course! He is in our 25 man squad but not through choice. God help us if he plays without his usual enthusiasm – that is his only redeeming quality!
Well that's clearly not what he said is it? He actually said he was looking forward too playing for roma and wanted too play for them that isn't what you have tried stating what he said he also said he would like too play for west ham until january at least , another made up sad excuse for an article from you.
ReplyDeleteI'm not interested in what he SAID. He wants to leave so he doesn't want to play for West Ham. We will see a) If he plays and b) If he plays with passion and verve.
ReplyDeleteSo you are now psychic are you? Add that too stupid, immature and plain dumb.
ReplyDeleteMy god, you truly are a dick HF. Now school's started again, I'm glad it means you post much less drivel. If you could reduce the amount down to 0 that'd be terrific, we'd all really appreciate it. See you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhy John? Why do you keep coming back if you hate the site so much?
ReplyDeletei know you are always slating behrami but how well do we do when he isn't playing? from what i remember we pretty much always loose. he gets played out of position and asked to do a job for the team. he wants to leave and go back to italy, fair enough, why not, roma were a totti meltdown away from actually winning the league and he would be played in position, in the champions league etc.
ReplyDeletenow he has to stay and i hope he plays, you know better than most his shortcomings but how about what he adds to the team that kovac or noble dosent. pace, desire, ability to win back, tackle and hassle teams. and in the new 3 man midfield with parker and hitzlsperger he is ideal. like i say the alternatives don't fill me with confidence and hitzlesperger is injured so we have a terrible midfield without him, its simple
