It's Sears Desperation All Over Again!

This is Groundhog Day! Remember how, last season, we called a goalless Freddie Sears back from a loan spell in the Championship to fire us to safety in the Prem? Well we've just done it again! It's a year on, he still hasn't scored, but we need him!

Quite how a kid who can't score against the likes of Preston, Watford or Hull is going to be much help in out current situation is anybody's guess. I bet Moyes is having sleepless nights at the thought of Freddie putting the Toffees to the sword!

Sears desperation!

  7. If COLE is going to be moving on in the January sales, and with HINES injured ,GRANT has had no option but to bring back SEARS.We only have PIQUIONNE,OBINNA and an unfit McCARTHY

  8. Must be something to do with Hines. Sad

  9. Sears had one outstanding goalscoring season in the reserves and has done absolutely nothing since. He can't even score in the championship. The only potential he has got is to be another West Ham flop.

  10. Yes HF, but according to you, Avram Grant is just not anyone. Perhaps HE can release the potential of Sears. Now that would be a miracle that would start me thinking just maybe he is not a bad manager. I mean, even Zola, managed to bring the best out Carlon Cole, so to match that AG could transform Sears. Between me and you I much to work with Sears rather than Cole.

  11. When have I said that Grant is a miracle worker? I think he is a decent guy and a decent manager. Zola was a brilliant guy and a crap manager. I prefer decent times two (2 x 2 = 4) than brilliant times crap (10 x 0 = 0!)

  12. He may be a decent guy, but I still don't get how you deduced he is a decent manager. All the evidence so far (during and before his time at West Ham) supports just the opposite conclusion.
