Word is, he is still in charge. There's been no white smoke: the kippers were done to perfection, Sullivan has wiped his mouth on a napkin and let out a delighted burp, and Avram and the chef are both still in a job. For now.
Brady didn't look happy last night though, did she? Something had definitely crawled up her hole and had a nibble. Perhaps it was because we were winning? Damn! She was itching to steal Sugar's line and say, "You're fired!" Until Avram recommended something for cystitis.
And what of Avram himself? Well, no doubt, he is feeling refreshed after his afternoon nap. Who knows, he may even take in tonight's match, checking out Arsenal ahead of the Premiership game and running the rule over our potential Final opponents.
Then there's all the transfer news to catch up on. Nothing has happened of course but there are still lots of Irons in the fire apparently. Kovac to Brescia? So that's another give away deal then. Spector to God knows where. He is open to offers. No, not that sort Karren! Noble to Stoke? That would be a total disaster in my book. Upson to Arsenal. What that old chestnut again? How many years on the trot has Upson been linked with Arsenal? Carlton Cole to Stoke? Why when they already have Kenwyne? Behrami to Italy? Anywhere in Italy! Probably. It seems he has no desire to play for us. McBenni on loan to QPR? Well they have just lost a striker to a double broken leg so that one may just ring true. And coming in? Bridge has had a medical. Or has he? And...well we will have to wait and see apparently. There's no hurry is there? We are bottom of the table and don't have any full backs available for selection but why panic?
Not that Avram will be very interested in any of that! He will leave all that messy transfer business to Sullivan and Gold. Training? Wally has that in hand. What to do? Time for a massage? Better not. I know, let's have another snooze.

I know your saying that we ought to give the bloke time, but that's something we haven't got now is it really... Unless you don't mind that we go down again. I, for one, don't want to see that happen. Some people are already saying its inevitable. But due to the closeness of some of the other teams around us it's not this season (which is a god send). But I would rather us get rid now and get someone in who could possibly motivate the team so that we end up pulling away from at least some of the other teams. Grant is certainly no motivator, you can see that on his face and if he doesn't get involved in the transfers then what the hell is he doing at our club??? Aren't managers supposed to get involve? Say who they want tell the board? They are the ones who are supposed to say yay or nay!
If he's supposed to be a coach, then what exactly is it that he coaches, because it doesn't look like he trys to coach the team, that seems to be WD and KK's jobs... I don't get the present setup at the club and I certainly don't get Grants position...
He has a master plan mate. He has set it in motion and now he is sitting back and letting it all unfold. Two cup final appearances, 16th place in the Prem, place in Europe next season, checking out the massage parlours of Holland...
Thank god we have a left back knowing grant he will play him right back and keep gabbs there
Only time can tell...
At least one piece of decent news today though with Bridge signing. Just hope he can find his form again for us...
Yes because he really had a choice when it came to playing Gabbidon at left back. He tried Ilunga and was slated as Ilunga is garbage, he's tried Spector there against Man U early in the year and ws slated as Spector is no full back, what else could he have done?
Liverpool's loss this evening is proof enough that short sighted board decisions and sackings do not guarantee an instant turn around of form or even long term success.
Grant's only Master Plan is about staying a West Ham manager against all odds and despite all his failures. He will take us down just as he did with Portsmouth. What is really pathetic is that we sit here discussing what is right for Avram Grant rather than what is right and best for our club. And then HF gets offended when I question whether he truly supports West Ham? Lately you seem to care more about what happens to a certain obsolete manager rather than what happens to West Ham.
What would be right for West ham would be for them to get some players who can actaully do the business consistently. The squad inherited by Grant occasionally play well, but also give up far too easily. Grant inherited a right rag bag of mercenaries, youngsters and clapped out time servers, the result of owners having no 'plan' at all or in the case of Duxbury/Zola, the wrong plan. And with 10 or so injuries, he's never had the full complement to play with either. Add the Gold/Sullivan/Brady axis of evil, and all thgings considered, Grant has done ok with a mediocre squad.
Nice to see that O'Neill turned WHU down because he didn't think we had the makings necessary to stay up. This from a guy who bought Harewood, Reo Coker and clogger Collins [ was that the 'West ham way' ?]...
Avram gets my vote - because there really is NO alternative.

Censorship was rampant throughout Nazi Germany. Censorship ensured that Germans could only see what the Nazi hierarchy wanted people to see, hear what they wanted them to hear and read only what the Nazis deemed acceptable. The Nazi police dealt with anyone who went outside of these boundaries. Censorship dominated the lives of the ordinary citizen in Nazi Germany.
Hmmm.... sound like anyone we know?
What are you going on about? Censorship on here or elsewhere?
