Behrami Situation Stinks

We know Behrami wants out. We know he is homesick. We know his wife and child have legged it back to Italy and Valedictory wants to join them. We know West Ham value him at approximately £5million. We know Fiorentina only want to pay £2million. And now it looks as if Behrami is feigning injury to secure a move.

Feigning injury? Well how else do you explain this statement from the club? "The player says he is homesick. We have a real problem as the player really does miss his wife and child who couldn't settle in London and have returned home to Italy. He has also been injured. We have only 25 players to name in our squad and, if he continues to be injured then it's not worth keeping him, so he might now be sold."

Now, presumably, Fiorentina are not trying to buy a permanently injured player so this appears to suggest that Behrami's is an injury of convenience. Sell me, or I won't play? That's certainly how it sounds!

  1. More like 'Sell me or I'm injured and won't play'

  2. At least Behrami is planning to leave so that stink will go with him. Shame because he is a good player.

What is going to happen to the skunks left behind? Below is extract from the Guardian re another Brady interview:

"It's made our resolve and our commitment to get on and get things done and stay up," she said. "But I think that was always there – that is always at the forefront of our minds, what things can we affect as a board to ensure the football club stays in the Premier League. And that is on and off the pitch, whether that be the Olympic Stadium [the club want it to be their new home], whether that be bringing players in – that's what keeps us awake at night. So those are the things we focus on."

On Tuesday West Ham issued a statement that said the club was "committed to retaining" Grant. However, Brady twice passed up the opportunity to offer personal support to him. Asked to agree that Grant had shown leadership during the speculation regarding his job Brady refused to answer directly. She said: "I'm sorry I've got so many calls coming through, we've got our Olympic Stadium bid going in tomorrow and that really is the thing I'm focused on for the next couple of days."

This isn't going to work. Avram will think that whatever he achieves will be in spite of her. By the way we've got a difficult game at Everton tomorrow.

  3. Maybe he just doesn't rate the manager? I don't blame him in that case.

  6. A complete and utter prat. Totally devoid of every attribute required in a good modern player (apart from an engine)!!

If the useless t**** wants out then the solution is simple.

He pays the club £5m and goes (wherever he wants)....a complete and utter waste of space and sadly a drain on the clubs meagre resources.

Failure to get the required going rate for him in this transfer window I would put him on the training pitch and get Billy Bonds and Julien Dicks to boot him from 1 end of the pitch to the other!!
