Bridge debut provokes bid for Ben Haim!

Tal Ben Haim - West Ham United v Oxford United - Carling Cup
You couldn't write it! With Avram on his way out, Ben Haim was sent packing back to Pompey and a cool £2million invested in 5 months of game time from Wayne Bridge. But, after one nightmare performance from Bridge, coinciding with the shambolic attempt to replace Avram, we are now trying to sign Ben Haim on a permanent basis!

So much for shuffling the bleeding pack, one Iron in the fire is an Iron we already had! Does this mean Upson is off I wonder?

fred,
Bridge is supposed to be a professional, so he should have been upto the job ffs! Yes he may not be totally match-fit, but he should have been able to produce a decent enough display. Yes 'OUR' team were sh*t, all of them, not just Bridge, but he was at fault for at least two fo those goals. That isn't good enough, he may not have been fit enough. But his bloody brain should still be working!!!
BTW, didn't Bentley do a decent enough job on his debut for Brum at the weekend and he's supposed to be unfit as well...

Hammered - remind me again who were Brum playing at the weekend? Oh yes, I remember now, the Mighty Villa!

In my 47 years of supporting West Ham United I have never felt so ashamed ............

West ham used to be a players club, cherishing their manager and showing loyalty on and off the field......

West ham used to be a force..... you never knew what team would turn up on the day, this would unsettle teams, very often to our advantage..........

West Ham used to be the gentlemen of football, never a club for the red tops, never talking unless something decent had to be said.........

The last 5 years has seen nothing but turmoil, bringing my once great loved club to its knees with everyone looking and pointing......

A lifetime of support doesn't warrant this........ not on a personal basis or through the eyes of every other fan who spend their hard earned money on the terraces only to be continually mocked from the inside and the outside.....

West Ham never used to have "supporters" like the owner of the blog............ like everything to do with my beloved club, it's a disgrace.

This blog is a disgrace? Why exactly? I have been a supporter of the club for just about as long as you 0927, so the period you are referring to must be a narrow window of eight or nine years. I'm not sure what you find so offensive about the blog.

My disgust at paying Bridge £90k per week? I remember the outrage when Moore secured a contract paying him £100 a week!

My belief that Grant deserves a chance? I remember the club standing by John Lyall when we were relegated.

My belief that a Cup win would compensate for relegation because I believe football is sport and is about glory, not a business preoccupied with survival? That used to be the spirit of the West Ham I grew up supporting.

A belief that relegation playing football would be better than survival playing the Allardyce way? I thoought that was what we were all about!

What have I missed in all these years of supporting West Ham exactly?
