Half Time West Ham 1 Birmingham 0 - Holland in Claret & Blue!

Dear God, what the hell is going on? Upson and Faubert camped in the opposition half whilst playing as full backs, Noble, Spector, Parker and Sears buzzing around all around all over the shop, and Piquionne doing his best to play in midfield runners who are actually trying to get in the box. True Obinna is taking the wrong option virtually every time he touches the ball but let's not moan, we are ahead!

How good was Noble for the goal? He broke from close to the half way line, drove at the heart of the Birmingham defence and chaos ensued. True there was then an almighty scramble and Spector's "pass" was a misplaced shot on the turn, but what a finish from Noble! Blame the defence, blame the keeper, but there was a touch of Van Basten the way Noble powered it in. Brilliant!

Sears' movement has been superb and the whole team is playing with wonderful gusto. Spector forced a save. Obinna forced a brilliant save. Tomkins forced a save. Even Upson forced a save.

There's one big worry, however. We are only one goal ahead with three quarters of the contest to play. I fear Zigic coming on second half!

  1. Hoping for a second early on in the 2nd half to put them away. Upson at LB seems to be working. Tomkins, Sears and Noble all out there with Spence and Hines on the bench, credit to Grant for giving the West Ham products a run out there tonight in a relatively important game.

  3. Obinna - idiot. Send him back to Italy or Spain. Hasn't got the temprament for PL.
Reid - a huge waste of money at £4m.
Those two clowns have cost us this - we're mediocre at best, but that behaviour [Obinna] is just mad. As for Reid, he looks out of his depth as soon as there's any pressure.

  5. Second half we were back to defending too deep along edge of penalty area again of course the inevitable happened. Why do they do it? is it just a lack of fitness or what.
Obina's madness like a petulant child doesn't being paid all this money entitle us to expect a bit of self control from player's?
Foster couldn't believe how slow and straight Cole's shot could be and dived unnecessarily an absolute gift!. I thought that sort of thing only happened to West Ham.Thank God we are having a lucky spell.
