What dignity! Paul Collingwood: a man who always knew his limitations and made the very best of his ability. He is one of the best fielders I have ever seen and, with a test match average of 42 before this series started, showed what grit and determination can achieve.
He faced Warne and McGrath and lived to tell the tale - and has been a part of three Ashes triumphs. I tell you what, if Pietersen could be blended with Collingwood you would have something very special!
We will miss him.

I tell you what if every West Ham player followed his example we would not be bottom of the premiership
Like Douglas Haig in the first World War = your mind was elsewhere - posting about cricket whilst our team is being annihilated. With the lions of this page being led by a donkey.
Erm, I didn't write that.
After the Jew lets for the schwarzer, has to be Chris Houghton for me, he was after all born in Stratford.
At his best, he's the kind of player every team needs. Excellent fielder and dogged batsman.
Only blip was sticking by an appeal against New Zealand's Grant Elliott, who was knocked down by Ryan Sidebottom during a single, and run out in a ODI couple of years ago.
Has had a good career and as he admitted himself he's probably overachieved. I guess not many cricketers can retire saying that though.
Time for Morgan and Bopara.
Time for Morgan then LOL. Actually, there's a certain leg spinning "all rounder" who might offer a better balance. What's his name? But, I suppose, given he has a Muslim sounding name, our selectors won't give him a chance eh?
Too right HF. Time for Morgan then eh? :)
