Sullivan Admits Parker and Hitz Will Leave in Summer

So, Big Gob has suddenly come over all confessional. He admits that we have a less than 50-50 chance of avoiding the drop and concedes that Parker and Hitz, who have release clauses in their contracts, will depart in the summer if we go down.

Now then, please explain the logic of retaining Parker in the light of this. Those protracted contract negotiations before Parker eventually put pen to paper just guaranteed that we paid him a king's ransom to stay, but gave him a knave's exit if we go down.

Mr West Ham? Cobblers! Mr Look After Myself more like! Of course, the Parker fans will explain again that he has been our best player all season, but to what avail exactly? We are currently second from bottom and I expect us to be propping up the entire division by the time we take to the field against Liverpool tomorrow. So how has retaining Parker helped?

Parker will leave, so will Hitz, and Upson, and Faubert, and Bridge, and Piquionne, and Cole, and Green - and that's just for starters. Any thought that we might regard our drop as a blip, a brief holiday in a division where we can win most of our games, has been knocked into the long grass by Sullivan admitting that our better players will leave. Will Tomkins, Ba and Noble join the exodus? God help us if they do!

So, we will have the stadium but we won't have a team to play in it! Never mind, we've paid Scotty £80k a week to keep us in the bottom three. There's value for you!

I think we're paying Grant to keep us in the bottom three HF, not Parker!

Did you hear the sad news of Dean Richards passing away? Just 36

HF - any chance you could come up with something new, you know something of recent origin, something that we haven't heard a dozen times before.

It would be like a breath of fresh air, and very welcome.

I don't know. It depends on whether or not there is anything new to report I suppose. I comment on the news, I don't make it. I must admit that finding something to comment upon since Monday has not been easy.

Any quotes to back up this story?

"I don't wish to discuss individuals but you must accept there will be certain players that don't want to play in the Championship and you've got to respect that," Sullivan said. "You can't have players that don't want to play for you and if you get a satisfactory offer, they'll have to be sold."

I guess the news element in Sullivans statement, your comments are rather badly aimed.
- Nobody will be surprised if our best players leave a club that has had years of mis-management. Gullivans rule so far has been comical in it's buffonary
- We could not afford to keep most of them anyway.
- As Torres said when he joined Chelski - they are professional players doing the best for themselves and the club they work for. At no point has Parker called himself Mr West Ham. He has just tried harder then almost anyone else. Parker got 3-4 yeards left at the top...I would wish him all the luck in the world at a new club if we go down(as long as it wasn't Spuds)

That does sound ominous even if it is obvious.

I actually believe the Olympic Stadium will be our only saving grace, HF. If we go down, SuGo will have that place in the headlights.

In all probability, there will be a lot of revenue generated by playing there. Thus, whatever is required to spend in order to come back up will eventually be spent because the payoff is a virtual certainty. Like the poker term, "doubling down".

I am not defending them. They are absolute nitwits and I hope they lose a ton by being forced to sell the club to someone with even deeper pockets. Their stupidity and dishonesty deserve nothing less. But assuming they decide to keep the club until they are both back in the EPL and in the Olympic Stadium, I think the payoff will be substantial.

You base your pointless rant on the fact that we are being relegated you idiot. We won't be and you can then kiss my arse. prick.

Is he laughing at us there in the image? Probably thinking 'You mugs!'

By the way, I doubt those shelves are full of books, they're more likely adult films.

You say this like it is news, every team has break clauses in players contracts if they go down as it protects them as much as the players. As far as Parker and Hitz leaving, of course they will, they are two of the best ctr midfielders in the lg and we would need the cash. Without scott we would already be relegated so none of this is news just HF trying to find some support for his feeble footbal thought. HF= prick! COYI today, if your goin today fancy meatin outside the boleyn at 12:00 for a chat ?

I hope you are right 2117, but Sullivan reckons we are going down - less than 50% chance of staying up - and 0951, that's what this story is based upon.
