Bloody hell, so Grant has gone for Reid ahead of Upson! Now Matty may still be carrying an injury but, nevertheless, this is a strange choice. Say Tomkins or Reid is injured early doors, what use is Upson then as a replacement? If not fit to start, why is he on the bench? Is Da Costa there too to cover Upson? Strange!
Otherwise, it is the team that beat Blackpool - or it IS the team that finished against Blackpool I suppose. Presumably Parker is captain. I would give the armband to Keane personally!
Zigic starts so we know how Birmingham are going to play it - but from the start this time. Can we combat the route one approach? THAT is the question!
So you would give the arm band to a spurs player (technically) ahead of our very own talisman???
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't make sense.
Are you coming Bolton away in April, It's a dotOrg thing
Tomkins hasn't even made it to the early doors. Nightmare!
ReplyDeleteGive the arm band to keane? That has to be one of the silliest ideas you have come up with! new signing? give him the armband over parker. Idiotic Idea! Please explain why?
ReplyDeleteTomkins injured before the game! Upson and Reid did okay though...2 handballs as well...we seemed okay in the first half...COYI!!!
ReplyDeleteShould have started with Da Costa and Cole
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but you cannot defend Noble for that. Utter stupidity. Get him off, before he gets sent off.
ReplyDeletewasnt a yellow card stani and he was dishing out what was given to our team parker was utter shite today keane was acting more of a leader then him and cole was shite whe nhe came on and obinna was our biggest threat yet again
ReplyDeleteNoble's brain went out of gear, Parker couldn't pass to our players, Green is scared to step of his line. But we did look every bit as fit as them today and physically the better side. Maybe we just tried too hard. They managed to expose our weakness and score from it once. This shambles could well save them, and put us in the championship. Note WBA have had the guts to sack their manager today. Ours once again didn't appear to have a tactical clue.
ReplyDeletebut i do agree with you stani but the referee was terrible today and shouldnt referee a blue square premier side after that performance but all the yellow cards we got were not yellow cards and bentley is a diving cnut
ReplyDeleteCome on Fred, dont defend him after that. You need to care about West Ham united, not Mark Noble united. This guy is weighing the team down. You did suggest in the past that he could tackle but he can't. He's worse at it than Parker. I remember he conceded a similar free kick in a dangerous area that led to goal last season against Hull I think it was.
ReplyDeleteAll he had to do today was stand his position and the best the Brum player could have done was pass back down the line. But he gives a free kick and Brum a chance to execute their major threat and everything they planned for. I will never understand what he did in a million years. Madness
John,
ReplyDeleteIf you look at Brom's Chairman's words they are spot on. It is everything G&S should have been saying months ago. Unfortunately we're stuck with this guy now.
"This has been a tough decision," said West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace.
"But we, as a board, believe it is the right one to give the club the best possible chance of remaining in the Premier League."
"Our poor sequence of results stretches back more than three months and there has been little sign of it coming to an end,"
"If this run continues much longer, achieving our goal of retaining our Premier League status will become increasingly difficult. That is why we felt compelled to act now."
"This club's track record proves we do not take such decisions lightly, with Roberto being only our fourth manager or head coach in almost 11 years.
"However, we are in a results-driven industry and felt we had no choice but to act now."
