Grant Talks Total Boll***s!

Listen to the idiot! Ahead of the games against Chelsea and Man City Grant said, "We have won against big teams this season so we can do it. We will fight."

Have we? Who? The "big teams" are Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City. In the Prem we have lost:  0-3 and 2-4 to Man Utd; 0-1 and 0-3 to Arsenal; 1-3 to Man City; and 1-3 to Chelsea.

So, in total we have played 6 and lost six, scoring 4 and conceding 17!

So what the fcuk is Grant talking about? That League Cup victory at home to Man Utd Reserves or is he now counting Tottenham a "big team"? If so, he is going to be even more unpopular amongst the fans than he already is; if that is possible. Or maybe he is counting Liverpool. Well we are away from home in both games and away to Liverpool we lost 0-3!

Watching that performance yesterday, I have no hope for the next two games. We have to try to keep the goal difference down in my opinion and pray that rivals lose, keeping us in touch for the last three games. If Grant believes we can win and plays 4-3-3, then expect Torres to score 5!

  2. Why have they not sacked this guy yet? Brady should give the dithering Dave's a 'him or me' ultimatum.

I'd even have Parker as player/manager lol!

  3. Yep, all about goal difference next two games. We still have to play wigan right? They're goal difference is closing in and you can tell by the way Martinez talks that he is well aware of it. Not sure if Grant is though.

  4. Feel like I have to break this down for anyone who is either deluded or just thick. This mess we are in is all Grant's fault! The player's can only set up as they are instructed and they are instructed to sit off the opposition until they get in to our half and try counter attack. This is just the most pathetic looser mentality to go in to a game with. That yesterday was the way the players are being told to defend. They are not being told to get in their faces and press them high up the pitch and put them under the cosh. No. We sit off and let them stroke the ball around OUR PITCH!!! Dont think I've ever seen a worse West Ham team than this. We always used to have fight and a dusting of quality but not any more. This does not feel like the same Club that I have supported since I could walk. It just feels cold and hollow. So thank you Grant, Groves and Downes for being the most pathetic management team to have ever destroyed a club by playing the same negative way week in week bloody out.

  6. He is clearly delusional.

With no reason to think this other than my own jaded mind, I bet that there is a clause in his contract that allows us to sack him with little or no compensation if we are relegated. And Stupidvan and Gutless ( just thought of those names on the fly ) figure we are down anyway so why risk the money when it's going to be tight anyway.

    That's my theory.

  7. Where has Ironside gone, HF?

  8. Amazing! The guy lost touch with reality, totally.

But I ask you HF. Avram Grant is who he is and can't be anything else. It is in his nature to screw up and get teams relegated while he bullshits his way out by talking total rubbish. The fault is not Avram's for being who he is. The fault is entirely on the owners who have not even responded with even a statement (not to mention dismissal) following the total show of incompetence by Avram Grant.

Christ! How much more do they need to see to make them do something about it? We are at the edge of the cliff with no signs of things getting any better. Perhaps all they care is the money they put in their pockets at the end of the day. I am not buying the notion that they "supporters first and business men second". They are business men (and woman) first and foremost and may I add rather bad ones by the decisions they took (or should I say, failed to take).

  9. it's sad, but it seems our luck has run out, and we are bound for the championship..there is still hope, and we can all pray for a little miracle, but im slowly coming to terms that we will be relegated..would love to be proved wrong, but with such a crazy season, i dont think we can count on much help from other teams..

  10. no 4-3-3 is the bes formation to play against chelsea but tomkins must return and play with upson and collison has to play instead of noble this game only if parker isnt injured nex tgame and ffs we have to drop carlton cole and play keane up top with piquionne and demba ba on the wings or 4-4-2 with demba ba and keane

  11. "...first half good, second half not so good..." that's been more or less what he's been saying for 9 months or so. Zola was crap, but he is worse.

  12. We HAVE to get rid of Grant NOW if we want any chance of staying up. Changing managers this late in a season is probably not a wise move, unless in special circumstances, which this certainly is. If Grant stays, we have NO hope. However, Sadly I feel that Karren and the David's are too narrow minded to think of that. I think the cost of paying off Avram is a price that is worth the risk.

  13. Maybe he counts being 2-0 up at home to Man Utd as a 'kind of morale victory.'

I listen to him a lot and I have to say that he doesn't make a great deal of sense a lot of the time.

The defeat yesterday must feel like a real kick in the guts, West Ham seem to have already had their decent run and are going back to pre christmas form again now.

On a positive, I think Scott Parker deserves the PFA player of the year award. Although something tells me Vidic will probably win it.

  14. Almost all official communications from the club have the sound and feel of post WW2 soviet propaganda. I have long given up expecting any real information to emanate from manager or owner. They even claim that they have continually consulted with fans on the move to the olympic stadium. Well...they have told us they are doing it but they haven't asked for opinions on whether we want to.
....Back to Grant I'm afraid any hammers fans who genuinely believe Grant will be sacked before the end of the season are deluding themselves. To be honest I'm not sure a new regime with 5 games to go is going to work anyway despite how bad things have got. Grant was never the right choice but I believe his appointment had more to do with getting a line into the super agent Pini Zahavi (I have no evidence for this but it makes sense to me). The flaw in this strategy is that we have no money with which to expolit such a relationship. Ultimately the owners, manager and players must all take a share of the blame with the exception of Scott parker who has continued to give every last drop of effort even when most players of his calibre would simply say 'no thanks...this lot are a shower of sh*te'. The Villa match showed up how much we have relied on Scott Parker...in fact his return to the team is much more critical to our survival than keeping or losing Grant. Where are the other senior pros...I'd say apart from Greenie in goal they should hang their heads in shame.
