Roll up, roll up, join the queue to buy your season tickets, the first of the big seven summer signings has been captured!
According to the Official Site, we have "snapped up Faye": that's snapped up in the way that a crocodile takes down an ancient wildebeest exhausted by a thousand mile migration presumably.
The OS boasts about seven imminent newcomers and Faye has a Yul Brynner haircut so is a fitting starter for the Magnificent Seven. Who will follow? I tell you what, if we complete the full set, I don't fancy Barrera's chances as the only Mexican for miles around!
Why is it, despite the hard sell on the OS, I find myself feeling distinctly underwhelmed by this news?
my central pair would be costa and tomkins, i can only hope this is a backup signing (but unfortunately i dont believe this will be the case)
ReplyDeleteI think Faye will do fine in the championship and if he pushes ^^ that pair to perform better to keep him out then its a solid signing
You're not the only one that's underwhelmed...and what's that water buffalo doing shagging that crocodile ? Jon
ReplyDeleteit's a good championship signing, we need some older heads with experience in the side and there's a lot more games we'll need cover for. I think he could do ok for us.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the Guardian this morning we've also allowed Hitz to leave... Apparently he was offered the captaincy after Grant was told to do one, but Allardyce has told him he can go...
ReplyDeleteThe OS and owners are bullsh*tters, as we've established.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Faye; we're in the Championship HF. He was Stoke's captain until recently.
The thing West Ham have lacked for ages is a no nonsense centre back. Now we finally have one! our defence was terrible last year so I would mind a few more defenders to be honest.
ReplyDeleteRicardo Gardener is up next. Reports he is at grounds for a medical.
ReplyDeleteNoland!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNolan in for medical!
ReplyDeleteWhat's a the fuss about? Big Sam has been given a brief - get West Ham promoted!
ReplyDeleteFaye is a dream signing, over 6ft tall - good at either end at attacking balls from set pieces - and not Adair to get stuck in. And a free transfer. A good signing.
If we get Kevin (scored more goals than Wayne Rooney last season) Nolan, again over 6ft and not afraid to get stuck in where it hurts, we will finally have some steel in midfield for a change. Nolan reminds me on Martin Allen, 100% commitment.
