QPR owner Fernandes wants a marquee but bids for a tent!

So Tony the Twatterer is at it again. You have to wonder what deals have been done in exhaust filled rooms that have resulted in Bernie the Runt selling to Fernades the Cnut, but the early signs are not good for Rangers fans. There are echoes here of when Sullivan and Gold bought West Ham. Lots of talk about marquee signings only for a two man Argos tent to be delivered as the window slammed shut.

So, what happens? Self proclaimed West Ham fan Fernandes indicates that QPR will bid for Parker - and then tables an offer of £4million, knowing that we won't accept it. Of course, had we done so, the deal would have collapsed when Parker was offered fifteen bob a week to play. Now the target is a Man City reserve who was on loan at Sunderland last season. Gabbidon won't like that! After passing his "trial", he expected to be lording it at the soon to be renamed Lotus Road.

It's going to be interesting watching what happens. Will Warnock be for the chop? Lose the next two games and I think that will be his lot. But then, by that stage, there will be no time for a new manager to shape his team. Fernandes has bought a pup, but Ecclestone is probably bending the rules of Formula 1 even as we speak to help Lotus improve their position on the grid.  I suspect there's wheels within wheels involved in this deal!

  1. I preferred it when you had nothing to say about Rangers. It was better than reading ill-informed jealous rubbish.

So Fernandes made two failed bids for WHU, is that why you refer to him as a cnut? If not that, why?

Bitterness is not an attractive characteristic. We may be in for a difficult season but we're going to enjoy it. Why not do the same?

    You Rs!

  2. It's rather ironic that your rules of posting forbid obscene langauage when this article kicks off with unnecessary, crude insults. If you want your material to be taken seriously, try focusing more energy on your command of less colourful English language. The term is "marquee" not "marque".

Please take no notice of HF. He does not speak for the majority of West Ham United, infact a very a small minority.

Just look at the popularity of Scott Parker amongst West Ham fans and compare them to HF's horrendus articles where he has been very critical of one of our best players even going so far as to using the death of his father as a way of getting one over his fellow West Ham fans.

HF is a joke gone too far amongst West Ham fans.

It's unlikely that he'll allowe this comment to stand though.

  4. Two reasons Jason. Firstly he timed his Twittered bid for West Ham for the day that Allardyce was appointed. It was self publicity and he knew it wasn't going to be accepted. And then there is the rhyme if you rearrange Cnut to the more traditional spelling.

I'm sorry if I am pissing on your bonfire but I expect to be proved correct. From a West Ham perspective, the bid for Parker was insulting and this is a West Ham blog. There have been a spate of articles on QPR because of the signing of Gabbidon - who twittered bile about West Ham fans - and Dyer who milked the club for a fortune. The Fernandes link and Parker bid inevitably provoke a view from Claret & Blue fans.

Apart from Fernandes, Warnock (who we detest because of the Sheffield United business), Gabbidon and Dyer, I have nothing against QPR - I was going to cheer your mob on this season.

  5. Well spotted 1328, I thought it looked wrong! The C and F words are banned. Cnut was a King of England!

  6. LOL 1330, still arse licking opposition fans I see! Conduct a poll to establish how many West Ham fans want QPR to succeed with Warnock at the helm, owned by Fernandes and with Dyer and Gabbidon on the books! I think YOU are in the minority!

  7. I think you hammers chappies should carry on blowing bubbles and leave the premiership to us . After all you never really went higher than half mast in the last 5 years , we can do NO worse than you .
Now tango and cash have gone we can surpass your record i think.
    Come on you RRRrrrrsssssss
    QPR for life.

  8. I think you'll find that the majority of QPR fans weren't too enamoured with the signings of Dyer or Gabbidon either.

Just as we didn't appreciate Harry pinching Sinclair and Impey for loose change plus 4 rejects. We're tired of West Ham rejects.

Does any of this mean that I will launch an anti-West Ham campaign? No, that's football.

If this is a West Ham forum then I suggest the moderator sticks to West Ham issues. Surely life at the Boleyn Ground isn't that dull?

  9. No anti QPR campaign here. This is a West Ham United related article, which involves QPR.

You can't do any worse? In our first season back we finished ninth and reached the FA Cup final, only losing on penalties to Liverpool. If you achieve that, I will run naked across your pitch on the opening game of next season!

This isn't anti QPPR anyway. If I was a QPR fan, I would be expressing the same concerns. Did Fernandes expect to get Parker for £4million? No. So why did he publicise the bid? It aint hard to work out is it? And aren't you just a little bit suspicious of a deal between Ecclestone and Fernandes? If not, you are fools! And as you say, you are rightfully upset about signing Gabbidon and Dyer so my criticism of those signings is not anti QPR is it? By the way, the best player we captured from you was Phil Parkes.

  10. Wow, never hear of you before HF but you have a narrow view of things. Tony Fernandes is much better for qpr than Flavio and Bernie anyway thats how most people will look at it. And i think the 4million bid is a starting point, it's called negotiation, we bid, you say jump, we say how hi? you say 8million we laugh and give you a new figure. cause lets be honest no 31 year old England international is going to want to stay in the championship, not even as good as WHU.

We bid cause we must have a chance, TF clearly didn't pay all that money to get relegated and lose a fortune now did he? Look at the bigger picture, don't resent us and spew bitter vile because you're still angry that a team of such quality ended up where you have. I had 15 down in those leagues I know what its like as you do. Why care that we have two players that were a disgrace for you, I'm not happy QPR have them but up until now that's the best we could get. Neil Warnock wasn't my perfect manager but jesus did that change. So maybe DG and KD might turn me around, but why should you give a rats arse, they are off your books? You should be happy that all these "cnuts" are in the same ship cause if we go down they'll all go down together. But i think your smart enough to be worried that they could succeed, and everything you seem to hate could be where you want to be. And that's what gets at you. If we somehow manage to get Parker, well that little bit of hope you had is gone. Everything you hate plus the one you really love. Is that what's wrong buddy?

  11. hahahaha the owner of this blog is a narrow minded bigot - I can't imagine why any West Ham fans come here - from what I can see the moderator is a disgrace and a jealous one at that. I mean why the anti QPR stuff are you jealous we don't have perverts running our club?

I heard Bullard is free - why don't you sign him now your doctor has nothing to do. hahahahaha

  12. 14:49 that's very astute of you my man - you've got HF's number in one go. Luckily you don't have to come back here week in week out to try and temper his rantings...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yes but a Cnut for that? a little out of proportion wouldn't you say? you don't strike me as a particularly happy person - where does all the angst come from? it as they say only a game.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh I wouldn't say that was out of proportion Jason. Put yourself in our shoes. A guy claims to support the club and says he wants to buy it. He launches his bid on Twitter, makes a derisory offer and times it all to coincide with the unveiling of Allardyce. It was a crude move to undermine the club. Now this so called West Ham fan - who has only ever been photographed in a Man Utd shirt by the way - has bought a rival London club off his boss in Formula 1. He aint worth a mint you know. It seems like good news for now but come on here in 9 months and share how you feel then. Sadly, and I use that word genuinely, I suspect you will say that I was spot on, if you are honest.

Who makes you 1751? Like I keep saying, you are trapped by the Game. Like a fly in my web. I make you return time and time again and you are powerless to stop me. Makes you kind of pathetic doesn't it?

  15. Oh I don't know, I rather enjoy all the slaggings that you get - it seems to have reached a new high recently. Are you well liked in the real world?

    ReplyDelete
  16. But that's not the case is it? Most of the critics have disappeared. It is only the desperately inadequate like you who are still unable to kick the habit. The Game is still winning.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Most of the critics have disappeared? you're in denial mate. This post for instance has eleven comments (not including your own) and from what I can make out 9 of them are negatives.

    ReplyDelete
  18. LOL Still getting to you isn't it? I do so enjoy getting under your skin! Turned purple with frustrated ire yet? The Game has your bollocks clamped in its vice!

And I would expect the Rangers comments to be negative - they are rival fans, albeit you have your tongue pressed against their brown button holes!

No HF you are wrong again. The majority of Hammers fans understand football better than you do and live in the real world.

The bid for Parker was business, club often offer below the asking price to test the water.

Fernandes tried to buy West Ham, got knocked back and so decided to crack on with another football team. Fair do's, nothing to see here.

The majority of West Ham fans couldn't give a f*** about how QPR do next season - no offence to QPR as I'm sure they care as much about us.

  20. Fernandes may not be the mother of all benefactors but he's arguably a step up from the Flavio and Bernie regime and most certainly a notch above the 2 porn magnets in charge of Wet Spam!
