QPR Target Parker - The Ultimate Big Fish in a Little Pond!

'Arry still fancies him, insisting that Tottenham are light in the midfield department, but if you believe the latest rumours, Scotty could be on his way to the might Queens Park Rangers - assuming twatterer in chief Tony Fernandes buys the club.

Wouldn't that be so fitting? Parker would exchange one small pond blighted with a deadly algae for another. He would be far and away the biggest fish in the Loftus Road backwater and would receive rave reviews for his unstinting effort and drive - and come next summer, he would be back in the Championship still yearning for a dream move to his father's beloved Tottenham Hotspurs.

Could we be lucky enough to offload Parker for £8million to the very same club that have taken Dyer and Gabbidon? I tell you what, if I was a Rangers fan I would start dreaming of fixtures away to Doncaster and Watford - because this promises to be a miserable, miserable season.

  2. Reality check!
    You are in the Championship.
Every club in the Premiership is bigger than you, that includes Wigan, Norwich Swansea and QPR.
Next time you visit Upton Park have a good long look around you and you will then see true misery. I'm sure Rangers fans will be dreaming of European football, a good cup run and happy away days. Even if they are relegated by Christmas. You are a Championship club with despisable owners, get used to it buddy cos it aint gonna change anytime soon!

  6. I think you are a very sad person to keep slagging off Q.P.R and your ex players. And if we do go down at the end of the season which im sure is not going to happen we will be playing rubbish like West Ham because i can see you being down in the Championship for the next couple of seasons.Happy days.

  7. To all you QPR fans, I do refer to West Ham as a small pond blighted with algae so why are you pointing out that we are in a mess? We know that! But if you bought Parker, it would help us no end so I hope it happens! I for one want him to join QPR to help you try to avoid the drop, just like he helped us!

  8. Ridiculous! If Parker goes to QPR it will just show what lack of ambition he has! QPR are out of their league! Literally! And WILL be relegated by April 2012!

Very rarely have I seen a team in the premiership as bad as they are! Even West Ham and Wolves would have beaten them!

As you say, if Parker joins the dreadful QPR, he will be right back in the Championship next season wishing he'd stayed with us!

But that said, if QPR want to pay us £8million for a £4million player and if Scotty wants to go to them then we should grab the cash with both hands!

  10. Why would Parker want to leave a Premiership club in the Championship league to join a Championship club in the Premiership league? I hope he goes, but there would be no gain for him, because club leagues will be reversed at the end of this season Reality check 16.51

  11. Will ye all get a grip. I have never heard such rubbish. Pissed off west ham fans and rightly so the way your club is being run vs qpr fans who are desparetly on the defensive. Firstly, qpr will not sign parker for 8m or any otber fee. The only way he might sign is on loan but still do not see that happening. Secondly, this is not qprs weak area. Its in defence particularly full backs and could do with another speedy winger and a proven front man as their back up is on the light side. I can see bullard coming in long before parker and hell of a lot cheaper. Puncheon possibly too. So forget the parker talk, pure shite journalism as usual. Qpr r constantly being linked with such players yet only 1.25m spent to date. Some good loan signings added to above will ensure their safety. QPR will not b relegated. Ye r judging on one game at start of season, a game that when completely in boltons favour and totally against the Rs. Wait 7 or 8 games then see how things look. Really doubt most of ye actually pay attention to what is going on on the pitch to spout the muck being spread here.
    Keep the faith u Rs!!!

  12. Shut it u stupid queens park rangers fans. you signed two west ham rejects one of which was part of the reason we went down and another whos an injury prone fcuk who tries blaming everything on other people. how can you say youve spent well and apart from taarbt who do you have thats good. our squad went down and is still 3 times better then yours

  13. HF, this may be too long for a post. Feel free to start a new thread if you like.

My 4 1/2 year old son woke up the other night. Bad dream, he said. Probably a 100 foot Avram Grant became his pre-school teacher. Anyway, I went into his room an laid down with him until he fell back asleep. That took awhile, so my mind wondered where all fathers minds go to at such time.

    Football.

In my case, it was a rather thorough examination of the Scott Parker conundrum. Some would love to see him stay, others are hoping he goes and we can use the money to fill some gaps. Both sides have merit. It isnt an easy or simple decision. And despite our occasional desire to throttle 'Arry from time to time, his point about Parkers age, wages, and lack of sell on value is the crux of the matter. But it puts the ball firmly in Scotty's half of the pitch, and he has so far not done anything to help himself.

    Here's what I mean.

If some reports are correct and he is "moaning" to return to the EPL, he could quickly facilitate that hy offering to restructure his contract. It happens all the time over here where many sports have salary caps. They do it to allow their teams to sign other players, or to help create a trade they want. If he did that, even publicly, the transfer market for him could suddenly get very busy. I would even go so far as to wonder aloud why he doesn't play the PR game and offer to restructure his salary with deferred payments once we get promoted or sell him. He would still get the money he signed for, only under different terms.

The point is, he can help himself. But he isn't. Whatever it is he IS doing is not working for pretty much everyone involved.

  14. Is there any reason you keep accepting comments from other fans when they clearly can hardly write their own name? I mean, 'jelousy' and 'Rangers fans dreaming of European football'? Jesus HF, why don't you just block them? For what it's worth i'm surprised you haven't mentioned the Piquionne story today where he has been charged with fly tipping. I'm sure there is some mileage in a story about West Ham trying to get rid of their rubbish . . .

  15. Howyoodoin, I try not to censor. Foul language and pornographic references are blocked but, that apart, I try to respect others' right to express an opinion.

Dave, Parker has always followed the money. Why do you think he came to us in the first place? That haircut doesn't come cheap you know!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ask Charlton supporters what they think about Parker and "loyalty". If he gets an enticing offer he'll go anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  17. HF, are you saying that his desire for European football is sedondary to his paycheck? If so, then the decision is simple on his part. He stays at West Ham.

    ReplyDelete
  18. im a QPR fan, but the truth is parker ain't gonna leave a massive club like West Ham to come to a small club like us, even if we are a league above. but thats the reality im afraid.

  19. hf who the fcuk do qpr think they fcuking are they will get relegated there a shit team with a shit ground and shit supporters it goes to show this fernandes cnut is only in football to fill his own pocket as the dildo brothers offered him the chance to invest in us as hes a westham supporter bullshit hes after a quick buck gawd knows what bagadge hes got wich might come out soon just like happened at birmingham look at them now lol we might be in the championship but with our bigger ground and extra games this season we will double QPRS attendance figuires itl be great when they sign all the journey man players and pay them big wages and two/three year contracts and get relegated they will be in much deeper shit than we are now in

  20. HF,

What's the point in saying you block foul language when you let fcuk, cnut and shit through?

Don't let the standards slip, this blog is too good for that.

    HYD

  21. Cnut was a king of England, fcuk are a plc company and shit is not that offensive, unless you can smell it! I use all three words myself. There are times when you NEED the C word and cnut makes it acceptable. Let's face it, the original Cnut was a right Cnut given he thought he could stop the tide coming in (Yes it is the correct spelling of Canute). I love the name of his son, "Alfacnut"! As for fcuk, again there is sometimes a need for the F word and if the advertising agency thought it acceptable to put up billboard posters for Fcuk all around the country, who am I to ban it?

I am a huge critic of censorship of opinion mate - as old friends and enemies on the Org will confirm - and I am desperately keen to avoid it. I only use moderation because twats posted links to pornography sites and left foul abuse - and there is also a problem with SPAM.

Sorry if my tolerances are wrong for you but I do my best to hit the best compromise between tolerance and not causing offence.

  22. It's up to you HF but post 07:19, to me, is more or less unreadable - what with all the swear words and lack of basic punctuation.

If this blog is going to become another message board for bile filled fans to slag each other off, I think it will be a real shame.

    ReplyDelete
  23. LOL Bile filled fans have been slagging me off since it's inception mate. It is tame just now. I think it is horses for courses. Some enjoy the vitriolic exchanges. You can stop reading any comment that triggers your "This guy is a twat" light. I have to read everything as the moderator and, as you say, some of it is hard to make head to tail of!

  24. Hey Fred, where is that link to the highlights? i am not seeing them on WHUTV yet.

  25. In the first 6 comments on this thread 4 are negatives which contain words such as bitch, Bell End and sad person.... 16:51 called for a reality check and by god he is right.

  26. "only use moderation because twats posted links to pornography sites" HAHAHA Oooh links - be careful someone might click one.... you censor because you don't like freedom of speech - html links don't work on this blog which means people would have to cut and paste the links in to their browser to view the "pornography websites". You are a joke man - when will you wake up and smell the coffee?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Good point raised there, not sure I understand why someone who doesn't want to see porn would cut and past a url in to their browser?

  30. FWIW the 22:52 imposter 'Howyoodoin' is not me. I posted the previous comments about my concerns on the swearing and hate filled posts on here and I stand by them. Even more so since the 'Bernie the Runt selling to Fernades the Cnut' post! And don't give me any of that "Cnut was a King of England" bollocks!!! :o)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Funny how yahoo, WHTID and KUMB don't find it necessary to moderate it's comment pages but you do.

Personally I think the porn argument is fantastically weak, the kiddies who WANT porn just need type the word in to the browser rather than cut and paste anything from this page.

From what I remember there wasn't any porn just lots of people who didn't like what you said.

Censorship is for mugabes and gaddafis of this world.

  32. Cheers Fred. The highlights did eventually make it to WHUTV yesterday, just 40 short hours after the final whistle.
