QPR Beware!

QPR fans are probably feeling pretty chipper at the moment. Five games played, 7 points banked, 9th in the table, new owner, Barton scoring, Wright-Phillips...What could possibly go wrong?

Well check out recent history guys. Blackpool were doing rather well at this stage of last season and, perhaps more pertinently, Sheffield United were as good as safe with six games to play in The Great Escape season, but Warnock contrived to get them relegated.

It is a long, long season and there is plenty of time for things to go horribly wrong. The Rs were lucky to catch Everton early in the season when they traditionally underperform and Wolves were very, very poor today. My money is still on all three new boys to struggle despite their victories today. But that said, outside of the Manchester clubs, it is a very, very ordinary Premiership this season.

  1. You twat, get over it mate your where you are because you were crap last year
We made Wolves look poor today by the fact we passed it round them for fun and we'd do the same to you.
    Tool.

  3. More generic rubbish from someone who doesn't have a clue. Puncheon is on loan, Wright-Phillips is a full transfer! Blackpool didn't have the depth of squad nor the quality we now possess.

We should have beaten Newcastle comfortably. We should have beaten Wigan if the truth be told, and we're certainly better than a lot of teams right now.

Concentrate on your own club - even the bookies understand that we're not likely to go down now. We're playing excellent football and now the goals are going in. Wolves underestimated us, as will a number of clubs before we're through with them. Beware my arse.

  4. Boy, I enjoyed playing the pants off you today!
Just admit it you took one "helluva" of a beating.
Go on, no excuses, no bitterness about the 'obscure' past to reduce the enjoyment of giving you a jolly good thrashing.
The reality is that this is a much tougher league this year than last, and your assertion it is a "very, very ordinary Premiership this season" is dilusional based on a primal fear of what you fear about Wolves this season after such humiliation today. I have no doubt we will finish well above you this season in at least 17th place! goodbye!

  6. Stanislas is having twins! Do you think that is part of the reason we sold him? Random question I know.

  7. How the mighty fall... and that tends to go for the arrogant upstart minnows too when they start boasting about their invincibility.

  10. It does sound like a West Ham fan that has got bored of Alladyce's ridiculous football and is looking around and criticising the wrong stuff. QPR were very good in the Premier League today. West Ham are in the Championship. We can all be friends. Still friends yeah.

  11. The irony is, when we went down in 96 we thought it would be for 1 season just like Hammers fans. It took us 15 years to get back so wind your necks in and concentrate on your own peril.

Imagine if you don't bounce back at the first attempt. That's a big olympic stadium you won't be able to fill when you are a championship regulars boys.

  12. We have a squad capable of getting the 42 points you were not. No one is smug, we still know we are in a relegation battle and are confident of surviving. Are thing at WHU so dull that you must write about QPR?

  13. Now really HF, why do we have to be concerned with what QPR does. I for one wish them all the best and hope they stay up and play us next year in the Premiership. I am thankful they have off-loaded us from some crap players but I am sure they will soon realise that they are no good and pass them on to another club.

QPR is the nearest club to where I live in London and it was the team my old man supported. I really want them to make it. All the best and good luck to you guys. HF aside, West Ham and QPR are friendly London clubs.

  16. LOL QPR Dave, that's like asking, "Which creature do you expect to survive extinction the longest? A) The Sabre Toothed Tiger B) The Dodo C)The Wyoming Toad (Extinct in the wild!)

So QPR stand a better chance of staying up than Norwich or Swansea, big bloody deal! Ask a different question, Which team is most likely to be relegated? A) Man Utd B) Man City C) QPR and you will get another very predictable answer!

I DON'T want QPR to go down. I'm sad Blackpool went down actually. The article is intended as a reality check. I may be wrong, I may be right. The anger suggests I have touched a nerve however!

  17. yahoo asked the question and 77% say we'll stay up - I say you'll stay down.

  18. Not even a couple of months back in the Prem and these QPR supporters get all lippy! Settle down ladyboys and enjoy your fleeting time in the sun, it'll be all but over come May next year.

  19. I have to say this is possibly the worse football blog I've come across and that's saying something.

  20. You know I really wanted QPR to do well I've even gone to quite a few games there over the years but a combination of the twat responses and Warnock means a total turnaround me thinks

  21. I thought that this was a West Ham site !
Why do your posts court controversy with other clubs. QPR? Who cares?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Err QPR Dave, your poll results come to 101% mate(77 + 13 + 10 = 101) Kind of takes away from the relevance of the result when it don't add up!

Still, hope QPR stay up, much better club and supporters than the likes of Blackburn, Wigan, WBA ....

  23. 15:58 cut and paste from yahoo - what can you do - it's their survey

  24. 15:58 probably found that the computer rounded up or down - not sure 1pct makes a lot of difference - basically the yahoo readers believe QPR will stay up.
