So tell me, is the head of the BBC a Spurs fan or something? Hammers fans were always moaning whilst we were in the Prem that Match of the Day failed to show enough highlights from our games and now, if you want hard evidence of the BBC bias against the Irons, just watch the edited highlights of the game against Bristol City below!
Now, when watching, keep in mind that Allardyce termed our performance "exceptional" and some fans have claimed on here that the performance was good, we were simply very unlucky. Given that, can anybody explain why the edit has cut out all the great saves made by David James on the night? I can see one good save by Green and a desperate clearance by Faye to prevent Bristol City scoring from the rebound, but apart from Nolan firing a shot, from outside of the box, straight into the bollocks of James, I can't see a save of note from the former Hammers and England stopper.
It's funny too that we don't get to the byline to cross but pump it in from positions between their penalty box and the half way line, making it so easy for the Robins to defend. In fact, I can't see one chance created inside the box, apart from a weak Piquionne header straight at James. Anybody would think, watching these highlights, that we were crap on the night and that Bristol City, bottom of the table, might have pinched it!
That, of course, is a ludicrous idea. This is patent BBC bias. In fact, maybe it is racism because James is black and all his best moments in the game have so obviously been edited out!
Write to your MPs! Demand the head of the Director General! This bias must end and end now! We want to see brilliant play when we look at the highlights of a West Ham game, not dross that suggests that we were truly crap on the night!

"Best start to a league campaign in 21 years" - says it all really COYS!
ReplyDeleteIll be honest hF i think we played some nice stuff judging by the highlights and that you are simply now moaning for the sake of it. It wasnt really long ball either like some people said and im more worried about the fact that Nolan keeps missing sitters like that as it could cost us come the end of the season
ReplyDeleteIn the Championship and not the Premiership; says it all. We have, of course, only secured automatic promotion once in that time, and that season we did it on goal difference and only because we won 15 of our last 23 games, with another four games drawn. In fact, we only lost 4 games in the last 27 that season. We have already lost 3 games in 15 this season! We lost two home games all season in 92-93, we have lost 2 games at home already this season.
ReplyDeleteYou need to get your head out of your arse. If Hull win their game in hand, they will be just one point behind us. If Birminham win their 3 games in hand, they will be two points above us. A draw on Saturday would be a fair result and Boro must be fancied to beat Watford and then they would be above us.
Look beyond our position in the table. The result at Brighton was hailed as brilliant, but Brighton have scored ONE GOAL in their last FIVE GAMES. Brilliant, we kept them out and scored a goal that was handed to us on a plate! Wake up! Stop swallowing the bull!
Do you Fred, so talk me through the times we tested James and highlight the passes that opened up their defence.
ReplyDeleteEverything's negative with you! I challenge you to look up where we were at this point of the season during our promotion campaign in 04/05. We weren't where we are now by a long shot. Yes, the style of play is awful. Yes, Allardyce isn't giving the youngsters a chance. Yes, his tactics are often questionable. But lets remember he's only on a 2 year contract and probably doesn't want to stay here after that, so if he gets us up this season and keeps us up next season or even takes 2 seasons to get us up, I will be happy with that. He will have done what he was brought in to do and will leave a good foundation for another manager coming in. I'm not a fan of Allardyce and wasn't pleased with his appointment but lets enjoy being second, it's not often we're at the right end of the table. COYI!
ReplyDeleteHow do you think the Monty would float here? Looking to see how it would grow.....lots of ideas but wanting to expand...
ReplyDeleteYou, sir, are a legend. Not a Hammers fan, but I regularly frequent this blog. Great stuff. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteBest start to a league campaign in 21 years - wow!
ReplyDelete2224, we only achieved promotion through the play offs in 04/05. Are you up for that lottery this season? Do you remember what happened the year before?
ReplyDeleteThank God Doctor Evil is only on a two year contract. God help the Academy if he was here for longer! You lot talk about him as if he is a God. What has he ever won?
As for being at the right end of the table, we are in the old Second Division! I have supported West Ham since 1968 and I can't remember us being at the wrong end of the old Second Division in all that time!
LOL 2329, I am a West Ham fan but thanks for the back handed compliment!
ReplyDeleteDarren, happy to carry if you want to submit via the email. Just leave a comment confirming, cos I don't check the email every day.
Green still parrying into the path of on rushing players I see.
ReplyDelete2339's saying he's not a Hammers fan, not that you're not HF.
Oh I see Stani. Sorry 2329, I was being dim!
ReplyDeleteBest start to a league campaign in 21 years - great!
ReplyDelete08:27 dim HF? you? never!
ReplyDeleteThat's alright HF. Nothing wrong with showing people that you're human. You should do it more often...and believe it more often, for that matter.
