It's a bit rough on them after beating nine man Chelsea 1-0 and scoring two goals at home to Man City, but QPR can now feel the pressure of the bottom clubs pressing up through the seat of their pants. Bolton served notice today that they will not sink without trace, whilst Wolves edged to within a point of Warnock's boys.
It's beginning to look as if it could be a right royal scrap to avoid going down along with Wigan and Blackburn. Everton will climb the table and can be discounted and Fulham, West Brom and Stoke have too much about them to finish in the botttom three, which suggests that the three promoted clubs plus Sunderland, Bolton and Wolves could be desperately trying to climb the slippery pole.
Over the season, logic says that the wheels will come off at either Norwich or Swansea, but QPR are a point behind both at the moment and have a dramatically inferior goal difference. With just 3 points separating 18th place Bolton and QPR in eleventh, it threatens to be a humdinger of a relegation scrap again this season!

ReplyDeleteIs that a request? Pull your trousers up, stand up straight and show some dignity man!
ReplyDeleteAs a Toon fan and regular reader of this blog I am glad you have noticed just how poor Sunderland are. They bought poorly in the summer and were praised for it. Finally people are coming to their senses it would seem.
ReplyDeleteYou have issues.
ReplyDeleteGood to have a Barcode looking in! Pardew or Bruce? No contest! As you say, Sunderland have bought old lags and yard dogs. Bruce thought Ferguson was doing him a favour! You would have thought he would have known the guy better by now! A gift horse from Fergie? Get an orthodentist to check out his dentures!
ReplyDeleteDo you actually watch any matches or just blog after reading the results?....I'm a Chelsea fan while my wife is a QPR fan and having seen QPR up close and personal I can assure you they will be in the top flight next season, they are way better than at least half a dozen clubs in the top flight. I'd be more worried about what division your team will be playing in next season. I never understand people who try to take the piss out of teams that sit above them in the football pyramid!!! Bizarre....u need a pastime to keep u busy my friend, try a girl!!
ReplyDeleteYeah we believe you 1831. So you were impressed by a QPR team under the cosh against a 9 man Chelsea team were you? Come on, man up, admit you are a GRRRRRR!
ReplyDeleteWhat's a Grrr? Actually don't worry I'm not interested. Blog away my friend, I'm sure the QPR fans couldn't care less about your articles!!
ReplyDeleteWell said Mr Moore, a proper and decent Chelsea fan!! QPR are playing really well at mo and will strengthen again in Jan window. Yes we made a meal of Chelsea,s 9 men but 9 WORLD CLASS MEN might i add.
ReplyDeleteas a whu fan i find it embarressing and quite frankly pathetic dedicating so much time slagging off qpr. I think u must be a closet chelscum fan
ReplyDeleteChelsea may have been a second half struggle but our 2nd half against spurs and 90 mins against City (Dzeko describing us as the best team they have faced) leave us in good stead. Given that we have money to spend in jan I would be shocked if we were bottom 3. There is a lot of mediocrity in the division and I doubt we will be in the bottom 3 ofthis group given what I have seen over the last couple of weeks. The big difference with West Ham is that our players are giving 100% whereas last year most of your lot didn't give a toss
ReplyDeleteI thought you had gone away. Get off my news feed you're boring.
ReplyDelete18:45 not sure you 100% understand what man up means HF. You're at least 55 if a day and I believe you would come across slightly more dignified if you didn't try and adopt the common parlance of the streets. You should have of coursed used the expression fess up, which as I am sure the under 55's know means confess, whereas man up means be bold, courageous and forthright.
ReplyDelete18:31 "I never understand people who try to take the piss out of teams that sit above them in the football pyramid!!!" Very funny.
I'm sorry but did you watch the QPR vs Manchester City game yesterday? QPR deserved to win the match, they had better stats but got punished by a team that cost half a billion pound. Even the City players said that QPR were the best team they have played this season.

Damn good game between Qpr - Man City. Man City showed that regardless of performance they are lethal in front of goal. Qpr were for the most part the better team, but it is winning that counts in the end. Will be a real tough season for Qpr and I think alot depends on how they spend in January. After watching them against Man City I just cant see them getting relegated though. I could be wrong but alot depends on whether those Asian fellas back up all that yapping with their wallets! As for West Ham, they will be back up next season for sure! What would have happened if we ended up with that Malaysian chap?
ReplyDeleteSimples, Malaysia would have disappeared beneath the Pacific after a massive volcanic eruption!
ReplyDeleteKeep being "plucky" and losing, and you will be well and truly plucked by the end of the season guys. For all your pluck, you are still just 3 points above the drop. Blackpool were plucky and gave some of the big boys a run for their money. They were two ahead against Man Utd, were unlucky to lose at Spurs, beat Liverpool home and away and beat Tottenham at home. They still went down! Birmingham won the bloody League Cup and were still relegated! And we beat...well nobody except Spurs but we were last season's Wigan and Blackburn rolled into one!
ReplyDeleteA Grrrr is an angry R!
ReplyDeleteYawn..just another one of your 50 or so blogs a day that demonstrates your complete and utter lack of understanding of football in general, and sad sad bitterness that QPR now have a decent owner that tried to buy your club.
ReplyDeleteThe term "get a life" has really never quite been so valid before.
Fair play to the Chelsea supporters comments - and you're right, Rangers fans no longer care what this boring turnip passes off as a blog. It's just irritating that it appears in my newsfeed.
I don't call being plucky dominating the unbeaten league leaders for 90 minutes. I can't see QPR getting relegated if they play like that for the rest of the season, but with such a thin squad who knows.
ReplyDeleteWhere do I say that QPR will go down guys? Please show me! I think I suggest that the most likely teams to drop are Wigan, Blackburn and one of Swansea or Norwich don't I? But I say that QPR, Bolton, Sunderland and Wolves are likely to be in the mix.
ReplyDeleteWesthamfan u really do have an empty sad little life, concentrate on your own teams fortunes and stop carrying on like a jealous school kid!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteQPR will be fine, second half against Spurs we gave them a run for there Money and against Man. City we could of won that game,We will buy in January and be absolutely fine.Worry about the wheels coming off West ham instead of thinking about QPR , You really are pathetic
ReplyDeleteYour always negative about QPR ,why don't you write a post saying how well QPR played over the past few games instead of always being negative. Your a joke!!
ReplyDeleteyou need to get a girlfriend of boyfriend if your that way inclined. Nobody likes you,QPR fans think your a complete A Hole,West Ham fans think your an embarrassment and other fans rarely read your drivel as you only talk about WHU and QPR . So really why don't you just go away and leave real fans in peace. Go and ask mummy to make you an nice hot chocolate and tuck you in bed. Mummy's little soldier.
ReplyDeletei have been reading blogs from MCFC and SPURS fans and they are all been positive about QPR and there future ,its only your blog that is always negative, in every post you slate us. So it really is a question how significant or how accurate your opinion is. Taking all that in to account your opinion means nothing and you are nothing to everyone.but don't worry i am sure your mummy loves you.
ReplyDeleteyour only one point above the play-off's and 6 points to drop out of the play-off's so WHEN you have a bad patch you can kiss the premier league goodbye for another year.Being negative about other teams will only come back to bite you this season and then you can think of all the negative comments you have made about QPR.
ReplyDeleteWe will see who is right 2251
ReplyDeleteIt's not just with QPR, Hf barely talks positive about West Ham either. Mostly he tries to analyse the situation from an impartial view although he has a soft spot for catastrophizing. But to be honest, that's the reason why I visit this blog on a daily basis. If I want to read how good my club played and how bright the future will be I could stay with most of the west ham blogs or the os.
ReplyDeleteTo the artice: I watched the last three QPR games which were quite entertaining. The one against ManC was a very open game, QPR fought until the end and City had to work really hard to get the three points. If QPR continue their form and they score enough goals they won't have any worries about relegation at the end of the season. The thing is, I know it just too well when your team puts in a great performance against a good opposition and you expect them to go on like this. Sadly or in our case luckily, you don't get anything for being the better team on the pitch. A run of good performances doesn't lift you in the table, in the end all that matters are results. Currently West Ham is in the second spot but our wins weren't too convincing at all. Our performances were solid but they could have easily gone the other way, too.
I'm quite sure Hf doesn't want to slag off QPR, he is just analysing the situation from his slightly negative point of view. Nevertheless, history tells us, newly promoted clubs have to be careful about getting too excited too early. The perfect example is Hull City who were on an Euro League spot at half time and then avoided relegation on the last day of the 08/09 campaign. A couple of serious injuries and bad results and you find yourself in a relegation fight.
Personally, I hope you stay up and we get promoted so our clubs can play each other in the EPL next season.
Been checking your site/ articles since TF take over of QPR club August 2011 you're definitely a prolific antagonist, concise. Keep it up, QPR's need all assist it can in all manner and forms.
ReplyDelete"Zealots are bravest where their lies can't be argued: behind closed doors"
"Message gets muddled among casual adherents"
"Thus certainly not equipped to argue finer points of"
QPR wont go down if they play the way they did against City vs the lower clubs. Unlucky not to secure a point.

Man Up!
Who cares about QPR / Chelsea / Man City or their managers or their fans? This is supposed to be a West Ham site. Keep it West Ham I say.
ReplyDeleteHowever, such bold predictions regarding some prem teams though. Are you going to put any prices up so we can all make some money out of you, HF?
He may be blogging from an impartial view but the point people are trying to make is, "Why QPR?" I have never seen someone dedicate so much time to another club that has nothing to do with their own. There isn't even a rivalry. Trolling aside, it really is pathetic, but clearly the guy is just after the attention and hits from QPR fans under the delusion that he's riling people up. The fact is it's pointless and annoying. Nothing more. People don't talk about your blog. They get irritated for 5 minutes, some reply, then everyone goes back to their lives and clubs. Some maybe shed a tear for the massively unfunny mouth-breather that created this shoddy brain-fart of a site. No problem with West Ham, just black holes of Trolldom.
ReplyDeleteI repeat the question, where do I say QPR will go down? And as for the battle ahead to avoid the drop, let's see who is proved right!
ReplyDeleteWhy QPR? Because you are my second favourite club in London. Supported you actively (second to West Ham of course) in the days of Bowles, Thomas, Francis, Given, Gillard and co. 75-76 was a fantastic season. We came too close to relegation but reached the final of the Cup Winners Cup whilst QPR came so so close to the title. Bloody Liverpool won it by a point courtesy of Toshak and Keegan!
If indeed we are your second favourite club then why the Doom-Mongering when we have showed such promise in the last couple of games despite losing to massively superior opposition? I've only seen one post where you wished us luck and that was blatantly reactionary after so many people questioned you. You appear only to reference us when trying to rain on our parade. West Ham were in fact my second favourite club after you acquired a couple of our players in 97 and a second team usually means that they would be safe from someones mirth unlike the others? I just don't understand how you can hold us in affection and mock us at every given chance.
ReplyDelete09:08 bloody hell - that sounds just like it.... aspergers I should have thought of it myself.
ReplyDelete10:20 the anons make you sick? we'll diddums, from what I can see they appear to be in the majority
Where is the mockery here? Look, you beat a nine man Chelsea team 1-0 and were lucky. The Man City game is a different matter, but they had played a Champions League game in mid week and that takes its toll. The BIG worry is the fact that you have now played 6 home games and only won one of them - against 9 men! That's a third of your home fixtures so, if played out over the season, you would end up with just 3 home wins. The three releagted teams last season went down because of home form. West Ham and Blackpool only managed 5 home wins each, whilst Birmingham managed just 6. Wigan very narrowly avoided the drop with 5 home wins and 8 home draws.
ReplyDeleteI am looking at stats and have been all season. The indicators suggest QPR will struggle.
Kip -you're wingeing as well.
ReplyDeleteYou make me sick too.
Who cares?
Man Up!
Yes HF, but the stats don't accurately portray the circumstances.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, our team has changed somewhat since day 1..and certainly in the last 2 games. The 4-5-1 we played with Taarabt didn't work, and thankfully Warnock has now changed it - subsequently, we're getting goals all of a sudden, from both strikers.
The Chelsea game itself was a bizarre one, as we played better when it was 11 vs 11. Obviously, it was such an important game, the players were nervous and I think the sendings off were detrimental to our performance. We've beaten teams with 10 men on a few occasionas last season, mainly Reading.
Aston Villa was referee'd disgustingly, and that should EASILY have been 3 points at home if anyone remotely competent was in charge.
However, the players now are looking much more comfortable in a 4-4-2 without looking after Taarabt for 90 mins, the goals are coming and the perfomance level has improved - so now we'll see what happens to our home form, but I predict a few more points on the board between now and January, where we'll spend money and shore up the back 4.
The team I think will drop like a stone is Norwich - where as QPR have had virtually no luck whatsoever this season, and still done alright, Norwich have had it all - plus not a single injury worth mentioning! That can't last forever.
We're getting our points through hard work and determination whereas Norwich are getting points by other teams being totally pants in front of goal - oh, hi there Liverpool. I mean, jeeeeeeesus!! To name but one anyway. Blackburn should have beat them, but they get MORE luck with ridiculous refereeing decisions. I could go on.
I think we'll be fine, and we're gonna start picking up points at home against lesser clubs because the players have to believe in what they can do after the last 1.5 games.
