So there we were, thinking the Championship was a crap league full of mediocre teams! Think again! Hot on the heels of Cardiff dumping Blackburn out of the Carling Cup, Crystal Palace have now joined them in the semifinal by beating none other than Man Utd.
So, two semifinalists and the current holders of this great competition are now in the Championship. And let's not forget that we were in the semifinal last season ourselves!
Meanwhile, Tottenham came a Roy at home to a no mark Greek club in the Europa League. That's what happens when you leave Scotty Parker out of the team!
With Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City all struggling in the Champions League, its beginning to look as if the Prem is not all it is made out to be. Next season should be a doddle!
See what I told you about Scott? No Scott, no spine. PAOK deserved their win. The penalty and the red card were a total refereeing disgrace that put Spurs back in the game. The ball was not anywhere near the defenders hand! And Defoe should have been at least yellow carded by the terrible foul on the defender. It is a good thing the assistant referee had a good look at it and insisted that that was a PAOK free kick.
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting following Harry's outrageous claim that Spurs can win the Premiership this year. But as you say, maybe the Premiership this year is not what we all thought it is.
Don't get carried away Sav. No VDV, no Adebayoor, no Bale, No King, no Walker, no first choice or second choice keeper...and a half empty stadium to boot. Parker was not the only factor here!
ReplyDeleteThere was a guy looking extremely like Bale playing. Perhaps he is his twin!
ReplyDeleteThat's the beauty of the cup! What a cracking strike from ambrose by the way!
ReplyDeleteChanging the subject hammersfan, do you still think MON will want to hold out for the tottenham hotseat? Or will he join Sunderland, who, I've just heard, he grew up supporting?
who cares,keep winning hammers
ReplyDeleteWho knows with O'Neill mate. Might accept and then walk out a week later. Not terribly stable in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteNot terribly stable? how extremely astute of you, your intellect knows no bounds, I doff my hat to one of the greatest minds of the 21st century.
ReplyDeleteNext season should be a doddle? Done deal then is it, HF, promotion that is?
