This is the straw that breaks the camel's back. It is time to make a stand. They are selling the ground, moving us to an athletics stadium and now they may be about to sell Tomkins - to Twattenham!
Come on guys, speak out. Twitter Gold on @DavidGoldWHU and make your feelings clear. If you don't, and Tomkins is sold, you will have no right to complain.
Crash his Twatter account and make him understand that this is a step too far!
When did west ham turn to tottenham B team? If any senses to argue, look at the past year and a half. If Tomkins goes it would be a detrimental hit to our team. I think some management believe championship is the league to e in or else we wouldn't make the moves we do. We lack width, but send the cheetah to Spain instead of grooming him. We have left montano out for death in that loan deal. Why woul he ever want to come back? There is no right price for Tomkins or noble.
ReplyDeleteThe 'Messiahs' 16 years at Birmingham City was highlighted by spin,&more spin.Cheap foreign imports via the hand of Barry Silkman, loanees ,the clubs best player sold near the end of each transfer window, replacing him with a journeyman.Telling the supporters that they never had enough time to bring some one decent in.Their outstanding achievement ?,three relegations.Well im afraid history is repeating itself at the Boleyn.Notice how the likes of Nouble,Hall,Potts are being santified as the real deal on the OS .In other words if Tomkins or Cole is not sold,it will be we tried to bring this player in,we thought we had a deal but he pulled out at the last minute, but don't worry our Academy is as strong as ever. The clubs been run exactly like they ran Birmingham City, cheap foreign imports via Silkman, loanees &journeymen.Whats the bet to save face we'll hear Tomkins had his head 'turned'&put in a transfer request,so we had to let him go ?.Your opinion ?
ReplyDeleteGood idea. Done. If we lose Tomkins, we might as well give up now.

ReplyDeleteFareham, do you leave open the possibility that while at Brum it was truly just a business. They didnt care, purchased it for a pound and sold it for 80, job done. But they do have personal history at WHUFC, and that making the club successful is their honest goal? We have no idea if things would have been different if someone else had purchased the club, so blaming relegation solely on them isnt fair. Yes, the hired and stuck with the single worst manager in the history of not only us but the whole EPL. But Fernandes wanted to stick with Zola. Intermarket (or whatever their name was) people might have done the same.
Point is, we were a total mess. Still are in a lot of ways. What they did at Brum does not necessarily point to what they are doing with us. IMHO.

ReplyDelete"@DavidGoldWHU If you sell Tomkins our season is as good as over. We won't be able to replace him. RT if you can promise he won't be sold."
If he doesn't RT that we can take that as a sure sign that he's on his way out which would be disastrous as we won't be able to replace him with anyone half as good or with as much commitment to the club. If he goes and our poor form continues it will definitely affect whether or not I go to any more games this season! COYI.
How you Hammers yearn for the days of Tal ben Haim......
