Leicester's £1.85m for Doncaster's Sharp is a snip!

Reports are suggesting that Leicester are triggering a £1.85m buy out clause for Billy Sharp. If that figure is correct, then it is the bargain of the century.

There were all sorts of rumours about us signing Sharp last weekend - in fact he was supposed to be in London for a medical. Instead he looks like signing for one of our leading rivals.

Typical!

  1. We'll be in the Prem next year HF, we need to consider this. Will he be good enough to step up? I don't know...

  2. The rumours were that the release clause was 3million, but it appears that it was indeed 1.85million. If he does agree to join us (Leicester) then I agree it would be an absolute steal. Fingers crossed!!!

  4. I believe we also triggered the release clause, but he wouldnt discuss terms because he didnt want to move south due to family concerns. I thought that is what you said, HF.

  5. 2 million was turned down last week, so 1.85 is well off the mark. he has yet to agree terms so not dun and dusted

  7. Well done hf, I see the blog has made it to the UK insomniacs society best reads list. Apparently reading one of two of your posts is enough to send the most troubled insomniac straight to the lad of nod. Good night.

  8. No you giant turkey, the biggest bargain is Demba Ba - and I can think of many more. Sharp? Mental patient.

  9. He wants to stay close to his family, it must be true because you reported it. There's a hundred mile difference between Leicester/ Doncaster and London / Doncaster. For all you bloody know, Sharp might even LIVE in Leicester.

  10. ? Do you accept that Leicester is closer to Doncaster? If so, what is the point of your reply?

  12. Mental patient, it's funny that you rarely respond to my comments because they are more accurate then yours. Re - Demba Ba.
