Morrison, Maynard and Vaz Te! And boy do we need them!

So that's it then, we couldn't get Jelovic so we upped the bid for Vaz Te. Maynard arrived as I predicted and the mystery man was Morrison.

Love the KUMB headline, no Tevez but Vaz Te. Very clever!

Don't know anything about Morrison except he is meant to have oodles of potential but a short fuse. Allegedly he has been arrested for thumping his Mum. Hope there's no truth in that! Has he got any pace, does he play wide, anybody know?

So, can these three transform a team that got thumped 5-1 at Ipswich tonight? Sadly none play in goal or at right back, left back or hold in midfield. There's still a problem with balance!

  1. Morrison plays the Nolan haha! Taylor and Vaz Te out wide will be decent. Makes me sick that Sam shifted out Jordan Spence who is one of the brightest right backs in the game on loan to bring in an ex bolton reject.

Morrison is well known up here. The Manchester united youth boss described him as the most extravagantly talented player he had since Giggs. Fergy raved about him too. He is an attacking midfielder with a decent pass on him, goes past players and his mustard quick. So far, so good but he has been a problem at United and allegedly they have employed many head counsellors to try and get him right. he seems to have basically given the finger to all the united senior players .. How much that is united spin because ravel didnt show sufficient respect I dunno. They are really pissed off with him though. newspaper reports allege he not only belted a girlfriend but was also involved in intimidating a witness at a trial. He comes from the toughest estate in the city...wythenshawe...and whatever the truth... No one has asked him for his side of the story, or at least he has never given it publicly. I do worry about a 19 year old, who has a self regard every bit as enormous as his talents , being loose in the smoke with 30 grand a week in his back pocket. I fear we are in for an exciting but ultimately difficult time. THen again perhaps he just had some growing to do and found old Trafford suffocating.. No reports of trouble with the England teams he has played for from u 15 upwards. Perhaps Sam is just the man for him.

  3. Tonight was a train crash waiting to happen under a manager with no tactics outside of "Keep it in't air 'til ah get back wi' me bag o' scraps 'n' curreh sorse" being played by a disjointed team of wannabe PL mugs. No fight (again), no presence (yet again), no clue, cohesion or plan. I've just paid over 100 sovs for me an' 'er to traips up to Suffolk and watch our self proclaimed champions elect just choke! PDC now, with Dicksey as mental coach and paymaster!!!!

  4. Three more strikers?

Baldock must be wondering why he signed that contract.

  5. Apart from Trevor Brooking raving about the kid, I found it interesting that Man U supporters were going berzerk on various message boards about letting the kid go. "The old geezer has finally lost his marbles" wrote one. I guess if they are so mad maybe we got a good one.

Overall I have to applaud them on the business they did. Including telling Jelavic to F off.

Good thing we have something to feel good about today. I still cant believe the score.

  7. Went last night Nolan was nowhere to be seen the whole game and there was no connection with midfield and the strikers just defence kicking up towards Cole. Left when it went to 4-1 hope they can make a difference we need something!

  8. Anony-mouse says,

Last night was not good, but we are top of a hard, hard league (notice I didn't say good there) so we all need to show a bit of calm. Last night apart, the defence is generally strong so let's not panic abut that just yet.

We could all see where we have been weak- we struggle to score as many as we should, we don't offer enough threat down the flanks, we don't hold the ball in midfield for long enough and due to this last point teams are invited and encouraged to come at us.

BFS has addressed these issues with yesterday's signings. Its a big if, but if they do fit in quickly Maynard will score and Vaz Te and Morrison are quick, skillful lads capable of taking the games to other teams- which is just what we all want and the team needs.

By offering more threat teams hopefully won't be able to press us back so much as they will know that we are more potent in attack than we have been so can't go all gung-ho against us.

That, I'm guessing is the plan. We'll see if it works. Ans say what you want about him, but the lads he signed yesterday are not cloggers or big lumps. They are all talented attack minded players. Give him credit for that.

  9. Morrison is an attacking mid and Vaz Te is a winger. In the game on Saturday I would love to see Maynard and Baldock up front starting. Both pretty quick players they could ravage Millwall's defense

  10. 16:01 Brenda England is a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary system and until the day we join the United States of America as the 51st state I would appreciate it if you could spell the word Defence in the correct manner.

  11. Haha forgot about all the different spellings you guys have over there. Anyways who else thinks my compatriot John deserves a shot on Saturday? Reid was awful at CENTRE back against Ipswich, change is needed
