QPR or Spurs? What a dilemma!

Just imagine the dilemma. You are playing for Blackburn and you learn that Spurs and QPR both want to buy you. What do you do? Stay with Blackburn and face almost certain relegation? Of course not! Not when you can jump ship and have a choice between Spurs and QPR. But how could you choose between the two?

I mean, there's Spurs, third from top of the Prem and on the shoulder of Man Utd, with a game in hand, or there's QPR! There's Harry Redknapp or there's soon to be sacked Neil Warnock! There's gates of 36,000 or gates of 18,000! There's the opportunity to play alongside Modric, Bale and Van der Vaart, or the chance to play alongside Barton, Gabbidon and Taraabt. It's a quandary isn't it?

Fernandes is still reeling from his failure to land Scott Parker after making a £5m bid in August. Why would Parker make such a perverse decision? How could anybody opt for a club with Tottenham's history over the might of QPR? Utterly illogical!

But lightening can't strike twice surely? Or three times? QPR and Spurs both want Samba and Hoillet, proving that Fernandes is splashing the cash after all. It wouldn't be his fault if both players, like Parker, opted for Spurs instead would it? He would still be adored by Rangers fans for his brave attempt to capture both players regardless!

Let's see how this unfolds shall we? If Samba and Hoillet see sense and put their necks in the Rangers Hoops, they could be playing in the Championship next season instead of the Champions League. No contest really is there?

  1. Perhaps, I would buy your argument if you have said "a chance to play next to Parker".

I would opt for QPR if I were Samba. Because he may make the difference between QPR staying a Premiership team or not. And if they do remain up, it would be much better to be a leader with QPR rather than making up the second tier of players for a team which is not expected to be up there with the best next year or for many years to come, I hope. Moreover, believe me, West London is much better than the slumps of North London. And I don't mean this just Geographically speaking.

  2. Hmmm main man at QPR or bit part player at the lane? I think he would prefer a guaranteed start that he would get at QPR anyway if Spurs were serious then why havent they put in n offer? we may have had one rejected but at least it was in there and it wont be the last.

  3. Stupid hammers fan, QPR are not after Hoilett, there is no evidance of this at all, if Spurs want Samba they need to make a bid, they haven't so QPR is his only option at present, one thing is for sure, neither player will be joining you in the championship anytime soon

  4. Like your offer for AJ, which Fulham have deemed derisory! They would rather he walked away for free in the summer apparently!

    ReplyDelete
  5. By the way, I would be very worried about the self belief of a player who opted to join a club fourth from bottom rather than a team third from top! It would say, "I know I'm crap and not good enough for a quality team".

You are sounding very bitter and i take it that is because we have Tony Fernandes and you don't. You should concern yourself with WHU getting promoted (i doubt it though)and concentrate with the Championship and not the Premiership

  7. This is exactly what you failed to appreciate with Parker. Samba's self belief would be huge if he opts for QPR because he would be making a statement that he believes he can make the difference and be a leader. Spurs is the cowardly option where he would be one of many.

It reminds me of a certain Australian who opted to reject Liverpool and become the captain of West Ham. Parker aslo stayed on and fought for the cause and only left when we were relegated and to save his England career. Perhaps he also left because he was not appreciated by supporters like you. But that would be too much of a comliment to you, I guess...

  8. i don't think for a minute that Foolham would prefer to let AJ go for free when they could get something now,its a business after all. After all AJ has only just started hitting form again after a long spell out.

  10. why have you got it in for qpr? its all this page ever seems to talk about. I am a qpr fan and I've always liked west ham. There is no real rivalry between the two clubs. I can only assume that some hammers fans are jealous cos we're moving forward and you seem to be going nowhere

  11. You claim to like QPR yet you constantly post these incredibly derisory posts about them. I really don't get your angle

Its been said enough, but concentrate on your own club, rather then just consistently trying to get a rise out of other fans.

  12. IKR big decision between regular football at QPR or to sit on the bench at Tottenham!

  13. The only thing is with all these stupid spurs fans is samba would be first choice center back every week for spurs as hes better then all there center backs so as you said HF no contest

  14. why so bitter !
If Samba was guarenteed a start at spurs I ma sure he would go there, but in reallity he would probably be a bit part player, he would be guareenteed 1st team football at QPR, Good luck to West Ham I hope they get promoted I have always liked them a s a second club and only wish them well.

  15. Not sure I follow you Sav. Lucash joined us for the money, demonstrating a lack of ambition just as I said would be the case if anybody opted for QPR over Spurs. If Samba opts for Spurs, it may be because he thinks he can make the difference between third and first! Now that's ambition!

As for Parker, he only stayed because Tottenham bought VDV instead. 'Arry couldn't convince Levy to part with money in January but after the early season hammerings against the Manchester clubs, Levy relented. And Parker was out of the door faster than shit out of an anus after ten pints of lager and a vindaloo!

  16. Sour grapes.A West Ham Fan who cant stand the fact that QPR are a league above them. You are talking about QPR going down.Been to every match,IT WONT HAPPEN!!West Ham are not guaranteed to get promoted anyway

  17. How many points above the drop zone mate? How far behind little old Norwich and Swansea?

  18. Said it before and I'll say it again - you are the complete bell end.

  19. This is to all QPR fans. Please don't presume that HF represents in any way the sentiments of West Ham fans. I am a West Londoner myself and in a way QPR is my local team. I always wanted the best for them. And as some of you pointed out we don't have a history of hatred between us.

Don't mind HF. He just can't help it. It's his nature. He likes to stir up controversy. It gives him many clicks at his blog. I hope you stay up. A piece of advice however, don't use Gabbidon and Ferdinand too much.

  20. You will look such an "end" when QPR sign a couple of good players. Looking forward to it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. So do I Sav! As I keep saying! But I don't trust Fernandes!

1851, I will admit I'm wrong if Fernandes spends big. Anything over £5m. There, that's my benchmark to judge him by. But I've predicted that figure before!

    ReplyDelete
  22. He's not doing it because he hates Qpr, or he's jelous, he couldn't care less about QPR. He's just doing it to annoy people and get reactions because it's funny. You're just making you're selves look stupid so stop commenting and fack off and he'll stop. Simple.

    ReplyDelete
  23. well he already spent about 12 million in the last window. should we not have bid for samba I don't understand. you're hatred is completely unfounded, he has spent more money in two weeks than most of our previous owners have in their whole run.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think you should worry more about how much the Muppets are gonna spend than worry yourself about Fernandes. And thats WITHOUT selling our "best" players.

  28. Dave said,

It's simples R's fans- Sav got it spot on earlier in all respects.

More important than West Ham or anything else to HF is his beloved visitors counter. He gets off on it. And as his last 2 WHU posts have garnered just 6 replies and his last 2 on QPR have had 63 so far there's no way he will let up on baitng you. He'll talk doo doo to wind you up and get a reaction and then salivate as the counter ticks over.

  29. I see you did not take my advice and get some sor of counciling, you obviously need an outlet for your 'issues',pleeaaase just let it go

  30. The org, don't be silly you're a long way off being as good as them

  32. Erm........"I would opt for QPR if I were Samba", might want to add "and if I were a crack addict" to the end of that. Spurs of QPR? Redknapp or Warnock? Champions League or Championship? Do me a favour chaps, I fully appreciate partisan loyalty, but suggesting "you" would choose QPR over Spurs is just ridiculous and I'm embarrassed for you that you even thought to post that pile of cack.

    ReplyDelete
  33. My favourite band? Now there is a question. I don't think I have one. Apart from Woods of Ypres of course. But that's a lie. Led Zeppelin probably, or Talking Heads. Not Cold Play! Or Snow Patrol! But Clocks was a superb track and so was Chasing Cars. So, I recognise that bands I hate can write great, great songs, and bands I admire can produce dross. Despite what Zeppelin claim, the song doesn't remain the same!

    Who is your favourite band?

  34. Dave, the point is that blogging is entertainment. And free entertainment at that. Nobody has to pay to visit this site so what is the issue? The fact is, you and the gRs love to hate the site. You are excited by your antipathy. You are lured to the site by your desire to be belittled, like a sub slave is lured to a dominatrix. I flog your arses and you squeal in pleasure. Does that make me sad or you?

FACT - News Now shows that the article is featured on thegamesgonecrazy.

FACT - Nobody is forced to click on the link.

FACT - It doesn't really matter what I think.

FACT - If I didn't touch a nerve, people would ignore me.

FACT - I touch a nerve because I get too close to the unpalatable truth 95% of the time.

I may be wrong this time. But the "bids" for Samba and Johnson have been rejected haven't they? So I am right thus far!

  36. Dave says,

Oh HF, where to start? Thanks for your reply, though you didn't really reply did you? You just ranted and deflected as per usual.

Couple of points- So its not just the visitors counter you get off on I see. 'Sub slave?' 'You flog our arses?' HF, I'm 47 year old bloke (the clue's in my name) so that'd defo your fantasy not mine. But at least the soft porn pictures you randomly post make more sense now.

I come to this site for the same reasons as I would sometimes watch TOWIE rather than more sensible and informed programmes- I know it's going to be shite and i'm going to hear its desperate to be a star 'star' talk a lot of drivel, but at least it will be entertainment of sorts. I really wouldn't take that as praise if I were you btw,

I go to say, Ian Dale's site far more often and come here as my guilty pleasure. Of fcuk, I used a term like that. Cue HF being able to go into some non-sensical, porn alluding diatribe.

Finally, I see your last 2 WHU posts have still only had six responses. Isn't it time you wrote another QPR one so that everyone can call you a bell end again? It'll keep the couner ticking over.

Anyway, its been nice chatting. Ta ta for now.

Hi HF, time for you to pick on another topic and return to a thread you have correctly raised before and the dreadful behaviour of Liverpool in the Suarez/Evra affair.

Last nights behaviour by Liverpool "fans" against the Oldham lad can have only be intensified by the stance the club has taken.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2083403/Liverpool-race-row-Fan-abuses-Oldham-player-Tom-Adeyemi.html

Sorry I use the Daily Mail as a reference, but the third picture down makes the point entirely as the young impressionable kid (12?) on the right in the Superdry top is either pretending to be a primate or has been caught by the camera very unfortunately (if it is the latter I apologise).

We buy an Argentinian with some dodgy paperwork and end up 20 million the poorer, whilst Liverpool as a club currently gets away scot free (especially one particular Scot!) with sticking two fingers up at the Kick It Out campaign. I am afraid that last nights events are encouraged by the stance they have taken.

I understood that John Henry has not stood for racism at the Boston Red Sox, but has remained silent to date. Hopefully after last night's event he will wake up to the fact that this "great" clubs name is being further sullied (as is his own) and sacks those who have stood so belligerently beside Suarez.

  40. Yep TH, just catching up on what happened!

Wow that dates you 1036!Actually, I am a huge fan of The Smiths so not sure why I left them out. The Velvet Underground are a typical example of a band that swings from genius to mundane. But when they are good, they are very, very good. Great music to commit suicide to! "If you close the door, I'll never have to see the light again!"

  41. Wow Dave, where in the World are you, posting at that time of a Saturday morning?

Look, the site is entertainment. And your "guilty pleasure" sums up the entertainment value it provides to many.

Some is deadly serious. Some is tongue in cheek. Some is provocative. I have fun writing it. Some have fun reading it. Many get off on getting angry about it. Where's the harm?

Keep feeling your guilty pleasure or make a resolution to give up on The Game. It is your choice.

As for the number of replies, people react when you annoy them. I am not annoying West Ham fans as much as I am annoying the gRs, because we are doing well and they are not.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Can't you be young and still appreciate old music? There's not like us younger people have decent music to listen to nowadays!

    ReplyDelete
  43. yeah your doing well in the championship. Second to Southampton, a team from LEAGUE 1!
We dicked that league last year from day one so to say your doing well and we are not is a bit far fetched. By the way your football knowledge is far from pedigree and in future I suggest you write about the problems at your own club as people like me who reference sites through www.newsnow.com won't have to read your crap any longer.

    ReplyDelete
  44. A simple request. Please explain your obsession with QPR. Others have asked, including Hammers fans, and no one is any the wiser.

A little insight and objectivity give blogs credibility. QPR and West Ham never had a history of serious animosity - in fact both were linked by being proper London footballing sides at a time when refinement was harder to find in the capital. So go easy on the schadenfreude - if you go up with Allerdyce you may be in for a very unpleasant awakening.
