Allardyce's post match interview was a disgrace. Once again there was a suggestion that the fans were at fault with repeated references to it getting "very tense" and "everybody getting very anxious".
Then the referee was blamed. We should have had a penalty apparently and Allardyce didn't know why Vaz Te's "goal" was disallowed.
Then injuries were trotted out as an excuse. Let's face it, we were without Reid, O'Brien, Faubert and Demel. What team could be expected to win in those circumstances? You want "all your players out there", not four of them ruled out with injury. Never mind that we have the deepest squad in the division and the highest wage bill, four injuries crippled our chances of winning against the team second from bottom in the table!
Then there was the injury to Vaz Te which threw us off course. This was the most laughable bit because Allardyce explained that he was forced to bring on Baldock and, I quote, "Sam is a finisher not a creator". You never! So why has Allardyce repeatedly played him wide on the left rather than on the shoulder of a striking partner? Of course, Doctor Evil glossed over that one! And he also failed to explain why Morrison wasn't used instead.
Instead he pointed out that "Kevin Nolan scored again", justifying his selection of his special favourite, even though the goal, a scrambled affair, in the ninth minute, was the last contribition Captain Kev made in the game! Nolan was so bad today that even Allardyce pulled him off! (And normally Allardyce only pulls him off in the privacy of his office!)
I listened right the way through to the end of the interview and at no point did I hear an admission that the tactics and selection were flawed. Nor did I hear an explanation for the negative substitutions, with O'Neil and Collins used ahead of Morrison. We were at home to the club second from bottom of the Championship and we played for a draw!
Oh, and Sam had one more excuse. We missed the chance we had been waiting for all game in the last minute. You have to take those chances, especially when they come along in the final minute because then, and I quote Allardyce, "everybody forgets about the performance and goes home happy"!
And there you have it, out of the yard dog's mouth, his whole footballing philosophy! And a huge body of mugs have bought and swallowed this crap for three quarters of the season! Waking up yet are we?
The final chapter of a truly despicable day for west ham united. This man is not fit to run our football club. Hang your head in shame allardyce you're a disgrace
ReplyDeleteI admit I have defended allardyce to a lot of people this season but today was possibly the most abysmal performance I have ever seen from west ham (and I've been a season ticket holder for 5 years!). I couldn't believe how negative we were against one of the worst defences in the league. We sat back the whole of the 2nd half and the only tactic we had was hitting it long to cole and hoping it dropped to someone. Doncaster was the only team at least tying to play football today and would have thoroughly deserved all 3 points. So big sams comments basically blaming bad luck and the ref are a disgrace. How can you score if you don't even attempt to create anything bar the first 10 minutes?
ReplyDeleteHe is another of a long line, who have managed this club who fail to admit their mistakes.Whats even more laughable ,he says it in all seriousness after a performance like that .Who's kidding who,the bloke is a bloody joke, another clueless wannabe.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see that fat useless man leave. As much as I hate Warnock I'd like to see him running our club.
ReplyDeleteHow many more teams will take points off us on our own turf this season?
ReplyDeleteI never liked Sam since his cheating days at Bolton.
Dreading the Prem already, IF we ever get there with him!!
Anony-mouse says,
ReplyDeleteJust come back from my much needed hangover afer the match and saw this.
I knew you'd be havong a w*nk-fest over yesterday and you haven't disappointed me. I presume you have the likes of me amongst the 'body of mugs who have swallowed this all season'. Easy to use terms like that from the comfort of your computer isn't it- what a big f*cking man you are.
For 70 minutes yesterday we were crap yesterday. No excuses and I'm not happy with Allardyce's comments even though some of them have truth to them. I cannot tell you how much difference the injury to Vaz Te made - up to him going off we were keeping the ball n the deck, passing nicely- the system was working. As Basildon says somewhere on this shite, we could have had it wrapped up by the 10 minute mark.
It doesn't mattter though. The 70 minutes after that we were dire. There are those at this club who will never take to Allardyce so at some stage he will be turfed out. We have fans who are so full of their own self importance that they now feel it for them to anoint a new manager hence the sickening, self-serving curmudgeonly 'we are West Ham's claret and blue army' replacing the name of numerous recent managers.
You don't go to games but if you did you'd feel at home amongst the moaning, expectant self- proclaimed 'keeper of the faith' type who turn up and think supporting West Ham equates to being able to incessantly slag off your team cos you 'have the right' to because you have bought a ticket.
Professional players should be able to handle it. But I will never test them out on this by slagging off players at games who are wearing the colours of the team that I love.
Now get back to your computer and find yet another angle and way to diminish, belittle and slag off the team Some 'Hammersfan'..
Play offs fellas I've been saying it all season better chose your prem team for next season hf the hammers ain't going nowhere
ReplyDeleteYour ire is equally predictable Anony-mouse, fools get aggressive when their errors are exposed.
ReplyDeleteYes I do count you amongst the mugs. You have backed Allardyce, blind to the inadequacies of the team. Even now you seem to be putting it down to the loss of Vaz Te! Fcuk me, we are not talking Messi or Gascoigne here! We are talking a decent player, nothing more. What about the substitutions? Try to justify them please! We had Doncaster on the rack when Vaz Te went off. We were a goal ahead. Why not Morrison if Sam reckons Baldock can't play wide left? He CHOSE to send on Baldock but he then says Baldock isn't suited to the role he sent him on to do! Explain that!
And explain O'Neil and Collins over Morrison and Maynard! Why did he strengthen us defensively at home to the second bottom team in the table? Explain please!
And then explain how this game was any different from the home games against Watford, Forest (2 dodgy peanlties needed to win), Palace, Coventry, Burnley, Cardiff, Bristol City, Peterboro, Ipswich and Leeds? If teams at the foot of the table can frustrate us, what will happen when Boro, Reading, Birmingham, Hull and Brighton rock up at the Boleyn?
The writing has been on the wall for so long but you and others have ignored it, reciting the mantra of what the table shows. As the caller to 606 rightly said yesterday, we should be pissing all over this division but we're not. Why? Because of Allardyce's tactics and recruitment policy. Adventure, skill and flair are anthema to him. Well Southampton play with style and look where they are in the table!
Anony-mouse says,
ReplyDeleteI can see where Saints are- three points above us with us having a game in hand. But you panic on HF- apart from goading it's the only thing you're any good at.
Maybe it was hard for you to glean from listening to reports on the radio but he made those changes in order to go 4 4 2- isn't that something you and others have understandably been calling for. Collins went to left back allowing Taylor to push up on the wing. Nolan came off cos I think it's finally dawned that if we play 4 4 2 he can't be in the midfield. No aplogies for patronising the patron saint of patronisers but sometimes you just have to be there to see what was going actually on, rather than watching the scores come in on teletext, etc.
I think if we'd have been say two up as we should have been or even two down then he would have given Morrison a blooding. But Allardyce is a pragmatist and sometimes too cautioius. He may well have been right- you don't know what the boy can do- you don't know his strengths, his weaknesses so let's assume Allardyce know more about him than we do. He's a flair player- great. But does he work? Does he need carrying in a 4 4 2 a la Nolan. I don't know so don't tell me that you do and that you know better than a man whose been managing for many many years.
I can see Allardyce's faults- I certainly don't need you to open my eyes. But whearas you only see faults I see faults and strengths. And it'll take more than two disappointing results to make me press the panic button.
Try to get to more than three games a season- you might be able to talk with more authority then.
Two disappointing results? Have you forgotten the 0-0 with Palace? It's now 4 points from 12 in the last 4 games, against decidedly mediocre opposition.
ReplyDeleteSo tell me, why did it take so long for it to dawn on Allardyce that Nolan can't play in a 4-4-2? Why has he persisted with Nolan in home games if he is the problem? Why didn't he go to 4-4-2 or even 3-4-3 when Vaz Te went off and we were bossing the game? A second goal and we would have murdered them!
I wasn't there yesterday but I have spoken to three people who were who are very, very angry about Allardyce's inept tactics. Did you hear that guy on 606? He was spot on.
Tell me, why are you the only one in the Boleyn who understands? The overwhelming majority have seen through Allardyce now, it's only the odd die hard "See No Evil" monkey like you who is still fooled by the facade.
Last 4 HOME games. Apologies for typo!
ReplyDeleteAnony-mouse says,
ReplyDeleteI was referring to two disappointing results in a row since our win at Cardiff. I thought that would be obvious to most people, certainly to someone who gives the impression that they know everything.
And where do I claim I'm the only one at the Boleyn who understands? I make no such f*cking claim. I'm not so arrogant as to think I'm always right- unlike you- you're famous for it. After all, your catch-phrase is 'I told you so'.
And no, I didn't hear the guy on 606. I was at the game and out on the lash immediately afterwards chatting to mates who went to the game with me. I hope you get my point.
Which takes me back to your comment that you weren't at the game but had talked to three people who were. That said so much about you. Firstly, why weren't you there? You could have got a ticket-why didn't you? They only sold out a couple of days ago. It can't be money- you infer that you're comfortably off so why don't you go? Secondly, you wouldn't put together a blog critiquing films that you hadn't even seen would you? So what gives you the right to think you can write a blog on a team you only see once every 3 months? And you call me an idiot.
That's my lot on this one- my din-dins is ready.
Hope you enjoyed your dinner. I could review a film I watched on video. And I could reach conclusions based on box office takings. When I have seen a game, I write a match report, when I haven't I give a reaction. Big difference. Now, what games have I seen?
ReplyDeleteReading, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Brighton, Hull, Birmingham, Boro, and Southampton away. Forest, Palace, Derby, Cardiff, Leeds and Millwall at home. That's 14 games. I have seen every goal we have scored this season and every goal we have conceded, except those at Derby.
Unlike you, I trust to the judgement of my own eyes, and unlike you, I have been calling Allardyce's tactics crap for a long time now and warning of the dangers of trying to eke out 1-0 wins every game. Yes you are right, I do say I told you so a lot, because I have told you so a lot! The trouble is, not only don't you want to see evil, you don't want to hear it either!
Anony-mouse says,
ReplyDeleteMy dinner was lovely, thank you.
You're being a bit disingenuous here aren't you HF? You say you've seen 14 games. But were you at the ground, like a proper 'Hammersfan' would be? Or did you watch those games on telly. My guess is that you've watched the vast majority of those games on the box. I'm sure you'll tell me if I'm wrong.
And yes I know lots of good supporters can't get to games for a number of excellent reasons so this isn't a pop at those who don't go. And yes I also know you can form a good decent opinion of what's gone on by watching the telly but it's a tad naughty to give the mis-leading impression that you've gone to so many games, particularly when in my last post to you I was questioning your entitlement to comment on games you don't go. It's the equivalent of Stevie Wonder trying to blog authoritatively about fine art.
I'm definitely off now. I think I'll start my own food blog- I won't go to many of the restaurants I write about of course. No need to. I'll follow your lead. I'll hang around outside them and sniff the fumes coming out of the air vents. I'll talk to 2 or 3 customers coming out of each restaurant and ask them how it was. Then i'll write about as if I'm a leading authority on places I've never been to and things I've never eaten. Oh and of course i'll slag of the views of people who have actually eaten at these establishments as the mugs and idiots they patently are.
Looks like it's just you and me on here now, so i'll bid you good night.
Did I say I went to all those games? Were they all on TV? I tell you what, I needed the TV to work out why the penalties were awarded against Forest, I had no idea as a spectator in the ground!
ReplyDeleteGood idea about the food blog, see if you can get 4000+ visitors a day!
After reading this bollocks on rangers blogs I curiously tried your hammers blogs and before now never had a problem with westham fans after reading some of your blogs and responses all I can say is what a complete bunch of c***s you all are who the fuck are u all supposed to support anyway u try getting behind your team and u might find the results go for the team big Sam is a fat fuck and his football is shit but your still second do u actually want to get out of that leauge or are u just interested in good football when was the last time westham played good football exactly anyway you can say what u like about my lot but shit or good we all shout our fucking lungs out regardless so start supporting your team or support Chelsea or man u like the majority of the mugs from London u twats
