Liverpool fans are delusional in the extreme!

Allardyce has accused West Ham fans of being delusional because we have a sense of heritage, talking of the West Ham Way, but we are mere chicks to the Scouser Cocks when it comes to clinging to the past!

At long, long last Reds fans are waking up to the fact that Dalglish belongs to a different era, an era before the Champions League when piss pots in the trophy room counted for something. But who do they want to replace King Kenny? President Jose? No. General Guardiola? No. Il Duce Capello? No. Why would they want winners exactly? No, Liverpool fans overwhelmingly want Rafa!

Why? Why would you want a man who, like Kenny, specialised in winning piss pots for the trophy room? Tell me, how many Premiership titles did Rafa win as manager of Liverpool? How much did he spend? What kind of squad did he leave behind? Voronin, Benayoun, Babel, Lucas? What kind of signings were those? How about Keane and Aquilani? Apart from Torres who, in his final years, did Benitez sign who was either worthy of a Liverpool shirt or committed to the club?

And what happened to Inter when Benitez took over from Jose? Piss pots in the trophy room but a Champions League winning team destroyed in a trice.

Is it any wonder that Liverpool appear to be in terminal decline? The club is wedded to the past, locked in matrimony to mediocrity. It is time to break with that past, time to look to the future. Because until they let go of the past, Liverpool will feed only on the scraps of memories and the piss pots of the past.
