Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. All week the Cocky Fools have been debating what was more important, winning the FA Cup on finishing fourth in the Prem, well now it boils down to fourth in the Prem or F All!
Talk about a season derailed! Modric must be thinking "What if?" He might fancy Chelsea at the end of the season or he might hope that Man Utd, Man City, Barcelona or Real Madrid come in for him. Or A.C Milan or Inter or Bayern or Arsenal or...
And what about Bale? Does he really want to waste another year in a short career chasing the shadows of dreams at Tottenham?
The truth is, 'Arry has been found out and so has his much vaunted anchor Scotty Parker. I always said that Parker only looked good because of the quality of those around him and warned that he would be exposed as soon as Tottenham came up against the better teams. Well Arsenal 5 Tottenham 1 and Chelsea 5 Tottenham 1 have illustrated that point rather nicely. Against Arsenal, Scotty saw red; today he collected a yellow and was powerless to check the Chelsea charge, even though the Guardian report still called his performance "excellent".
The truth is, when mediocrity confronts class, class wins out. And when class looks about and sees mediocrity all around, class Bales out - along with Modric and maybe Van der Vaart.
Fourth place or F All? And even if fourth place is secured, messrs Bale, Modric and Van der Vaart might fancy progressing beyond the group stage of the Champions League - if Tottenham can get that far!
Is this really necessary or interesting? I believe your team is about to fail in getting promotion from the championship, you have nothing to gloat about.
ReplyDeleteAnother 100 years and you may have half the history of a club like Tottenham.
ReplyDeleteSome how i doubt it though.
Enjoy your second division football.

ReplyDeleteWhats the matter with posting my comment. Truth hurt does.
ReplyDeleteTwat.
Remind me where West Ham are this season and how many times you've been in the Champion's League. You haven't got players even close to the quality of Modric, Bale or Parker. Your best player thinks he's a pirate. Parker was excellent today and the scoreline didn't reflect the game, not to mention the huge controversy you completely ignored. You shouldn't be concerned with superior teams like Tottenham. We won by a clear margin, but it could've been very different. Van der Vaart missed an easy chance, hit the post and John Terry made a goal line clearance, all before half time. Tottenham should have been level when they scored and wouldnt have sent Defoe on to chase the game, allowing more space for us in midfield. You'd know all this if you knew even the most basic elements of football.
ReplyDeleteYeah, one of the Chelsea goals shouldn't have stood. 4-1 then. Unlucky!
ReplyDeleteAs a Spurs fan, I will admit it was a crap second half performance! However, I think the statement that Harry has been found out is much more accurate than Parker being found out. Harry is tactically very inept and once again played a way too open 4-4-2 formation, with Bale and Lennon wide. Spurs got away with it (and looked dangerous at times) in the first half because VDV and Lennon were tracking back. As soon as Spurs had to chase the game and the attacking midfielders stopped tracking back, Chelsea's three in midfield outflanked Parker and Modric. Not Parker's fault, Harry's fault. Especially as we played 4-5-1 against Chelsea at the Bridge and we dominated the second half there. Downright tactical stupidity again by Harry. Do England really want a manager that is that tactically naive? Please send two letter answers on a postage stamp to the FA!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, lets take this opportunity to laugh our foreskins off.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, what a wasted season, we are the laughing stock of the premiership, all that hard work, how Mr Levy feels, I can only guess, we have a new stadium in the pipe line and I thought the makings of a top class team.
ReplyDeleteAfter all the talk of the England job, once again, just like Portsmouth & Southampton, arry has left Spurs in a sorry state. The sooner he goes the better. If he gets the England (and that's debatable) he'll just pick all his old cronies.
You should be more concerned about your season falling apart than ours you loser. Supporting Sam's Spam all conquering zeros must be soul destroying - so much so that you take delight in any crumbs fed to you. Listen pal we are in the top 4 of the Premiership. Where are you the original yo-yo club feeder club to the big boys? In the Championship wherw you belong forever more!
ReplyDeletepoor little cockyfools all they can do is give it large about West Ham being worse than them No good points about your team then boys
ReplyDeleteevery one has an opinion , I think that Harry is a chancer a "jack the lad " who is limited in intellect and talent , but has a players mentality and although talks their language , the money in the game is what he looks for ! no loyalty at all ! But Parker is a 100 % player which a team should have to blend with the class players , just look as he was player of the year for both teams and performed well for england !
ReplyDeletei think we should be looking for a new manager and get rid of some players who are not good enough,i was dreading that harry might go and manage england, now i am not. i hope he goes that is if they want him anyway.
ReplyDeleteouch the poor old anti bacon league lost 5 1 lmao the game should not have been played yesterday to give chelsea a better chance in europe
ReplyDeletewhen redpratt managed us his tactics were crap 3 centre halfs etc glad to see what you got yesterday and parkers becoming a big fish in a small synagogue lol hows the song go nose up tottscum yids nose up totteneham yids off to the synagogue you must go ee eye ee eye oh if i catch you spending il saw you nose right off ee eye ee eyo come on you irons
Redknapp IS tactically inept. He only has a plan A which to be fair generally has worked brilliantly for him. But watching the game yesterday and you could see that spurs were getting overun in midfield. he doesn't try and change it to improve things, all he ever does is chuck defoe on and fingers crossed he will score. I sincerely hope that Chelsea keep this form going, make a good account of themselves against barca, pip spurs to fourth, then buy modric in the summer. Deluded spurs fans I spoke to were even thinking about winning the title at one point this season because they were on a good run! F**k redknapp for England, spurs can keep him. If they don't get fourth, they lose modric, bale and maybe van de varrt. Adebayor goes back to city and suddenly spurs look very mediocre with a crooked manager who will start taking them backwards. I personally look forward to it
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Harry has been found out. I've been saying this to fellow Spurs fans for some time now, he is tactically useless, no idea how to shut down the opposition when we have to. As for Parker, he is looking tired after grafting all season so I don't attach blame to him. I expect to lose at least Modric at the end of the season, and hopefully Harry will follow him outof the door!
ReplyDeleteSpurs season started to fall away from the moment Harry appeared in court on tax evasion charges. I never thought I'd say this but I love the taxman!
ReplyDeleteStand up if you pay your tax.
Stand up if you pay your tax.
Don't count your chickens HF. Before gloating that Spurs' season has come off the rails it might be worth realising that they still have a chance of finishing 3rd, let alone 4th. It's very possible that Wigan will get something at Arsenal tonight as they did against Man Utd and deserved to at Chelsea.
ReplyDeleteYes, Redknackers is tactically naive, he wastes money on has beens (eg Saha) and he should have done better with that squad but, Pardew excepted, wouldn't you prefer him as our manager to any of those we've had since he left?
Why is everyone so fickle all the time? Redknapp is a very good manager, hence the reason why we're even talking about Tottenham and Champions league in the same sentence.
ReplyDeleteQuick, get another post up! I made a mistake over the minutes silence that I wanna bury.
ReplyDeleteSome of this banter seems a bit racist
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 23.33, that is spot on! I have been telling all my Spud mates the same thing since Harry took charge. The man has no loyalty and will be off as soon as something better comes along. Its nice to see some of you starting to wake up to that fact.
ReplyDeleteSpurs' saving grace is that Levy was smart enough not to give him an open chequebook. At least when he buggers off in the summer you wont end up in the mess as us, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Southampton.
Anonymous 00.32, Jack the lad he may be, but DONT call him a Wheeler Dealer whatever you do :-)
lol bitter much? scotty is to good for you shit good luck in the championship next year!
