Premiership Having Terrible Tournament So Far!

Agger apart, the Premiership has been embarrassed by the performances of its "stars" in the competition so far. Today Balotelli and Torres were laughable in front of goal. God knows what Balotelli thought he was doing when, clear in the box, he literally stood still. Did he have half a million on Spain keeping a clean sheet or something? As for Torres, talk about fluffing your lines. Three times he was in the clear and three times he royally fcuked up!

Van Persie was every bit as poor for Holland against little old Denmark, and Van der Vaart couldn't find a man in orange when he came on. Arsenal players in general have had a mare. Szczesny was awful in the opening game and Rosecky was ordinary with a capital O against Russia, for whom ex Gunner Arshavin was excellent, as was ex Spur Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Silva was quiet for Spain today as was De Jong for Holland and Cech shipped four against the Russians. Bendtner ran around a lot but never threatened the Dutch goal and Nani played poorly for most of the game against Germany.

Best league in the world? You wouldn't think so watching the Euros!

  3. Jelavic is doing quite well against the Irish though!

  4. To be fair, the Croats are playing against a Championship team, and we know how bad the Championship is! That said, a Championship player scored Ireland's goal. Add Given to the list of Prem players having a mare. And Corluka hasn't looked very good either!

  6. The best league in the world? Is there anyone that's not English (or employed by Rupert Murdoch) that thinks that?

  7. It's not the best league anyway. I'm English but only typical arrogant English fans who don't watch other leagues would think it is the best. The media love to drip feed this nonsense to dumb fans and they lap it up.

  8. This must be your first time watching national teams play in a tournament - if you had watched these type of games before you'd know that most teams have first night jitters.
